Still love this place. We had dinner with friends and it was perfect. The ambiance is very cool, it was warm and cozy, the staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. We tried a lot of things. The general Tso’s chicken buns were the perfect mix of sweet and savory....they vanished instantly. The bacon wrapped feta stuffed dates were addictive. I wish I could have eaten two orders myself. The fish tacos were delicious with a light crispy batter with crunchy slaw on top. And since we sampled each other’s entrees, I can say my favs were the Brooklyn eagle chicken sandwich and burger. The chicken sandwich is huge- and the fried chicken was perfectly crunchy and spicy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. And the burger- well it’s still my top burger in the area. You can’t beat that juicy blend of brisket, fillet, and short-rib. Lastly, the fries were hand cut and dangerously good. I really should visit this place more often.
Service was very friendly. Cocktails were ok, oysters were bland and the food was so-so.
Surprised by the number of positive reviews.
High quality straight forward food. Excellent oysters and reasonable prices.
Super hamburgers. Great drinks.
Very comfortable and great service.
From the welcoming hostess, the helpful server and delicious food, The Quarter is a lovely place for a meal just a short walk from BAM.
Craft Cocktails, good whiskey choices. Food was very good. We had meat and cheese platter, stuffed dates and burgers. Great choice for before a show.
We were a party of 4 for brunch. Three meals were served together, while the 4th meal was served more than 5 minutes later. The three meals were cold while the 4th was warm -- did the chef forget to cook the 4th and had the 3 waiting? The eggs in the Eggs Benedict and McQuarter sandwich were way overcooked and the English Muffin was hardly toasted. We went out of our way to try this restaurant, ended up paying for parking after 15 minutes of driving around in circles, only to experience a disappointing meal.
it was good for brunch. the cocktails we had were very good and the price was decent. it was pretty quiet for a sunday brunch.. maybe going back when its slighly more busy would be better. its very pretty inside.
This was a pleasant surprise. We selected it because it was close to our hotel and open for dinner at 23:00. The oysters on half shell were fresh and tasty. I was really pleased to have the Sazerac cocktail, which I typically only find in the US South.
Good dining option near BAM, which doesn't have many. Decent food, good prices.
This place is a gem. My wife and I sat in the garden where it’s covered and heated, if necessary.
The food is quite tasty. Love their oyster display. And guess what! They have a dollar oyster special every day. Unbelievable! Service was very attended. Must say, we enjoyed everything about this place. Definitely coming back and highly recommended.
Got last minute tickets to an event at Barclays Center & found The Quarter recommendation on the Tri-State Restaurant Group page on FB as a place to eat near the venue. Found a spot on the street around the corner (that’s a win in my book) and was greeted warmly at the door. My wife & I love to eat at the bar and they were more than accommodating with that request. The bartenders are super cool, make great cocktails and were fully prepared to serve & suggest selections from the menu. We shared the Steahouse toast, Shisito peppers, Pan seared Salmon, Brussel sprouts & Tres Leches for dessert. They actually honored my request for a birthday candle in dessert for my wife even though she was going to decline dessert. We had a wonderful experience and then walked 2-3 blocks to the Barclays Center. I won’t hesitate to return. Thank you so much for your hospitality, great food and warm service.
Love this place. Awesome burger, dollar oysters, cool vibe, nice service, and an enclosed backyard garden!
The place was absolutely packed! Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and very tasty and nicely presented food!
We sat at the bar and loved everything about it. They have a cute garden that can be covered during the cold days. Thumbs up!
Another Brooklyn gem near subway stops, great service, excellent yummy food with lots of options for smaller plates that are large enough to be mains. An extensive wine list as well. We went pre-theater to Theater for New Audience and is equally convenient to BAM, BRIC and Mark Morris Dance. It was quiet but it has many tables and a large bar so the noise level might change when the place is full. On my list for singles dining, too, because of large bar and fresh oysters on display. The best of Brooklyn! Planning to invite Manhattan friends to meet us there!
The newly renovated backyard seems really cluttered with the retractable canopy structure and creates awkward narrow edges with seating along a tall wall. The furniture is not contemporary or classic - some odd looking chairs! The service was good but the food was mediocre. For a location like fort greene with an abundance of restaurant options, the Quarter needs to up it's game.
Love the decor and service was good but the quality of food was poor. Given the price, I expect a much higher standard. Steak was chewy but our dog was very happy to have leftovers. Burger was not good - the meat was more purée than chopped- overall I would not recommend this restaurant.
The service was great. The food was good. The waiter was willing to serve me a custom dish based on the Quinoa salad with extra vegetables and was very accommodating and attentive.
Super cute spot, the interior is nicely done and the tented outdoor area is super cute and intimate. We would have sat out but it was far too loud for my taste so we opted to sit inside which still had a nice, romantic feel.
The service was outstanding to start. The food was incredible. Of the three dishes we like the mussels most, then the general tsao buns and the the Baja fish tacos. Everything was stellar including the cocktails. We had the peanut butter mousse and tres leches for dessert with a cappuccino.
Our first server was delightful. He was attentive, made great recommendations and was prompt in fulfilling our needs. He did a great job communicating he was leaving for the evening. We wanted to close out with him as we had placed our dessert and coffee order but assured us that the next team would take care of us.
They did a mediocre job. Immediately after he left, we had a couple of people pass by the table, one of them shouted from the aisle that our coffee would be a minute. I believe it was very inappropriately done and he could have simply approached us. If we would have stuck with the one server, we would have left a heftier tip as he was one of the best and most memorable I’ve had in a while.
What could have been a perfect date night ended up pretty blah but not bad. I do highly recommend the food and cocktails.
Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The menu had a lot of great options for a mixed-age group. The oyster special was great. I liked the quiet atmosphere when we went for an early dinner.
One of the worst cooked meals I’ve had in Brooklyn. The ambiance is amazing but it wasn’t worth the lack of quality service and food.
I really wanted to like this place! The servers were helpful and friendly, however, the food was just not great. The oysters were fresh and tasty. My burrata salad was a joke, flavorless, ugly weird plating, cold. Imagine a ball of cold cheese, flooded with tasteless olive oil, surrounded by two halved cherry tomatos and a handful of basil leaves, with a small bowl of side salad with onions, kale and sliced whitish sad tomato in bland dressing, all served together on one plate. Scratching my head. This is yummy juicy fresh tomato season! This dish should have been such an easy win! I had the quinoa salad with salmon on top, which was just OK, needed flavor, dressing, or a sauce of some kind. My husband liked his Sazerac and made no comment on the roasted chicken. My vodka cocktail seemed like it was just... pure vodka. Strong but not tasty. In the end, I feel like everything needed better presentation and more flavor. Also, the restaurant space is cute for casual dining but all the details are messy - ductwork covered in aluminum foil, overflowing garbage in the bathroom, bits of fallen dry leaves on the table/napkins, handprints on the walls. The manager or head waiter's shirt was dirty. Not appetizing. :(
They have not updated their store hours on the door or online. I made a reservation at 11:30 for them to tell me they are closed when it says 2am they close.
food was really mediocre. friends even sent back their oysters.
The food wasn't great, and the menu is just really odd. It doesn't fit in any single cuisine, and none of it looks particularly apetising. The food came fast but the waiters were slow, which was strange given that the place was not even half full. The terrace is nice, but furniture and physical environment as a whole is in need of being refreshed.
Nice backyard patio behind the restaurant with extensive outdoor dining and at least 3 season use. Menu was interesting with unusual combos. Great tapas selection as well as entrees.
Perfectly fine restaurant, but food is only so-so. No complaints, but nothing I would repeat.
My favorite place in Fort Greene. Close to BAM. We had some oysters ($1 oysters daily!!) then I had the peppercorn ny strip steak- it was soooo good! Their brussel sprouts are amazing. My husband had the burger. It was a great blend of prime short rib, brisket and fillet mignon blend. Delish! And his fries were amazing.
Went for my birthday brunch and really enjoyed the entire experience. :)
Good but not spectacular food is elevated by great ambiance and helpful staff.
We had a great night. Lovely back patio. Delicious drinks. Would come back again
Food was not good. Too many cuisine genres on the same menu done poorly.
The seating area is open and it's a bit hot in the summer. Needs extra fans, AC or something to keep the area cool. Otherwise a cute little place.
Came early. Sat at bar. Very nice bartender. My friend showed up. We had a bottle of white. Nice. Then we ate. I had quinoa salad and salmon. Nicely cooked. A little expensive but the quality was great. Recommended. Highly.
Enjoyed a nice dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. The food was good but not always great (quinoa salad was a bit dull) hence 4 and not 5 stars on food. Service was excellent. I visited another time and think this is a solid neighborhood spot, also great preBam.
This is my second visit to the Quarter, and it is going to be my go her on out to for pre or post BAM events. Had excellent oysters, a delicious watermelon mojito, and fish tacos. Other people in my group had steamed General Tso's buns and a fried chicken sandwich with very good fries. Friendly service and they did not rush us, which was nice since it was a birthday celebration.
Food was delicious with generous portions. It had a lot of variety, so everyone can find something they like. The drink menu also had a lot of yummy cocktails. Sit in the back patio for some fresh air but be careful about the sun!
Unfortunately the service was terrible. The servers were all very polite but non existent. The restaurant was completely empty but it still took us about 30 min to get our food.
It's in a great location, so if the service was better, I'd be a regular here!
Good was good expect one dish which was very undercooked
Been here a few times with friends & it’s always been good!
Last time the music was too loud but we asked to have it turned down & it was with no problem!
Loud music makes people talk louder! Not a pleasant dining experience!
Our server did a commendable job keeping the music at a modest level so our table of 8 could have meaningful conversation.
Nice place in Brooklyn. We had the tacos - fish and lamb - which were delicious. Wine was reasonably priced by the glass. Recommend it!
