   I was really excited to be visiting I haven't been to Carluccios in years and it was always brilliant. Restaurant was about a third full. if that. Firstly we waited 45 minutes for our food whilst all other tables around ours were getting their food. We didn't say anything but the waitress must have noticed the staring at her that we were doing so eventually came over and said our food would be 5 minutes, no apology though. When it turned up it was awful, my kids love pasta and pizza and garlic bread, how can you go wrong. My piccante pasta was meant to be spicy but was basic bolognese sauce, the garlic bread was disgusting dry bread falling apart so we left most of the 3 portions we ordered. My son who eats anything only managed a third of his carbonara pizza. The half glass of smoothie was £4 which was ridiculous. Also there is a ding dong bell that goes off every time food is ready which was constant and very irritating (too loud). Also have you stopped doing calories on the menu now? What a shame, what's happened to this brand. oh and also no pepperoni or salami available for the kids or adult pizza. Total disappointment won't ever be back

   We had the two course lunch which was not only great value at £20 but the good choice and quality was excellent, service was quick and efficient.

   A pleasant place to eat. Good selection on the menu. Lasagne and seafood linguine were both very good. Service was good and food came quickly.

   We visited the Stratford-upon-Avon branch yesterday to celebrate my husband's birthday, having chosen it based on our previous positive experience at the Solihull location. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing from the outset. Despite having a reservation and the restaurant being nearly empty, we were seated at a poorly located table—not ideal for a birthday celebration. When I asked to move, the staff member who seated us deflected responsibility, saying I needed to ask someone else. This felt dismissive and unprofessional. I shouldn’t have been the one chasing down staff to change seats—it should have been handled by the person who seated us. While the staff member who took our order was slightly more pleasant, the overall service fell far below expectations. The restaurant had a persistent unpleasant odor that made the experience very uncomfortable. My daughter was particularly affected and couldn’t enjoy her meal; she was eager to leave as soon as possible. In hindsight, we should have walked out upon noticing the smell. The toilets were also in a very poor and unhygienic condition. The food was equally disappointing. My daughter’s chicken dish was so oily it looked as if it were swimming in oil. We spent £73 even after using the Blue Light discount, and it’s a shame we had to spend that amount on such an unpleasant experience. The restaurant clearly needs a deep clean and refurbishment, especially to address the hygiene and odor issues. Regrettably, we won’t be returning.

   The food was ok but, not great. I had bruschetta to start and it came out as English bread toasted with regular salad tomatoes on top without any dressing or flavours. My medium steak was rare. A friend had seafood pasta that had broken shells in it and when the waiter enquired and was told, he said we had a plate for the shells. The plate was actually for the mussel shells but, he reiterated the bowl was for any shells in a smug way. Not great!

   Good solid italian food. With good attention to quality of ingredients. Seafood risotto hasnt really changed in 10+yrs since the last time i had it (in Windsor - Carluccio's ). Bravo

    We were warmly welcomed by Monica and served quickly and efficiently by her, ahead of our trip to the theatre. Monica has served us before and she is very friendly and efficient - a real treat. The Risotto a la Mari was excellent with lots of prawns, mussels and calamari. Our trip to Carluccio's is almost always an important element of our trips to the RSC.
