The restaurant was well presented. Nice atmosphere.
Simon was awesome in helping to select dishes off the menu. The honey lemon beef was fantastic, the fried rice was cooked to perfection. Dim sum and the spring rolls were delicious.
The waitstaff was on point and very attentive.
We regularly choose this restaurant on a Saturday for lunch in town. The staff and the food are a delight.
I love going to Fortune Village, it is my favourite Chinese restaurant :)
Restaurant was closed
Felt kind of like a tourist trap. Food was ok. Friendly staff.
Vegetable dumplings were good. So was the chicken in chili sauce. Pan fried rice noodles and chicken satay were both oily without intense flavor. Steamed white rice is presented in a generous tub for the table. Service was very pleasant, and prices are reasonable.
Great food! Great service! Left the menu up to Simon..... highly recommend!!!
You have to love an excellent restaurant available after the movies on a Monday night!
Great restaurant. Good service, they don't push you order more than you can eat, some other Chinese restaurants do.
Food is well-flavoured. flavour don't come from MSG or too much salt or sugar, a huge plus!! very healthy.
This restaurant never ceases to amaze me. The food is simply awesome, fresh and fantastically tasty. Ask for simon and let him choose the menu for you. You’ll absolutely love it!
Excellent Chinese in CBD of Sydney. Great for casual dining and very authentic
This is the second time I have visited this Venue. The first time I had 4 people dining there and it was sensational. With that in mind I booked the Venue a second time and I was not let down with everything they did.
Highly Recommend this lovely place 5 x STARS
The host was lovely and lively! Food was absolutely fantastic with the exception of the char kway teow. the schezuan lamb was to die for! There was a complimentary eggplant dish in black bean sauce which was out of the world! We were almost half an hour late for our booking as our cruise was delayed but the restaurant was very accommodating in fitting in our massive food order before the kitchen closed. A very memorable and happy dining experience. Loved it.
Food was gr
I took my partner here as he loves his asian food, first time for both of us. What an incredible evening we had! Dinner was amazing, the service was the best. The manager came around asking everyone if they were enjoying their time. Highly reccomend.
My two daughters (8 and 10 years old) love eating here, it's always extremely delicious and the team working on the floor are outstanding. Food is very fresh and service is swift.
Every bite full was delicious and the service is fantastic. Will be returning often.
Came for dinner with my very picky teen...chose this place because of the traditional Chinese dishes...my son is a big fan of sweet and sour chicken...and it didn’t disappoint! I had the soup dumplings and they may be my favorite of all time...we also had the tamarind chicken which is the house specialty and it was amazing! We also had the honey prawns...everything was very very delicious...my favorite part was meeting our hostess Yeonji (Cindy)...she was an absolute treat and such a pleasure to know...
Service was outstanding, everyone was really attentive. The ambience was also good, and felt very relaxed. The food itself however was not that great. For the top rated chinese in Sydney, there was hardly any flavour for either of our meals (sweet and sour chicken and chow mein with noodles).
Great service great food great prices and good vibes
Great food. Great service. Grea experience.
Great food as always . Phoenix Chicken worth coming back for time and again . Simon and his staff great hosts .
Had a huge group for a birthday. The host Simon was amazing. He was super accommodating and brought out a samurai sword to cut the cake, took group photos and even gave the birthday girl a fridge magnet with the group photo at the end of the night! Fantastic service - made for an unforgettable night.
Excellent food and exceptional service. Highly recommend!
A cosy place for casual dinner, dishes are relatively home-cooked style. Salt and pepper pork was the hit. Food are reasonably priced. Will return when we visit Sydney again.
Great meal yet again at Fortune Village. Have been about 4 times and every time gets better. Beautiful food which all has amazing flavours! Always recommend this place to friends and never hesitate coming here. Always a go to for yummy, consistent Chinese food. Thanks for making it a great experience every time I visit! :-)
Thanks Simon! We liked it so much e ate there twice on our short trip. Tamarind Chicken!!
Been here several times, this visit was great food and service as always. Owner Simon is an outstanding host.
Very poor service. Very small helpings as in the ratio of meat to veg. They kept forgetting to bring things. 4 of us dined, two got their dishes first and like 5 mins later waiting on next two dishes. Food look warm.
We surprised No Seat at the Chinese restaurant while the reservation has been performed via this "OpenTable" and get the confirmation e-mail. So our experience was that we walk around for getting a dinner. I recommend U the confirmation via a tel. We call the confirmation directly if we have next chance to get a dinner there. But that is not OPENtable but CLOSEtabel. Hahahaha.
Great place with great food and people. I highly recommend it.
Food was excellent given it was a very busy Friday night
Fantastic venue, excellent decor, not too loud. First rate yum cha. Very good staff. Delivery to table timely and well paced. Works extremely well for such a large enterprise.
Simon always looks after us and the food is top notch and the service attentive.
Wonderful meal with great recommendations from our host!
Great food and friendly service weenjoyed it
Cantonese chinese cuisine, good location in CBD, easy to book, food OK - had the salt and pepper squid which was a let down - the batter was very thick sort of like on fish and chips.
I have eaten at Fortune Village Chinese Restaurant before and have been very happy with the food and service, but this time it was very disorganised, our meals did not come out in an appropriate order(like entrees before mains etc) and it appeared that some of the items we ordered had been forgotten so we had to request them again.
Simon always looks after us with great food and attentive service.
Utterly fantastic from the moment we walked in. Asked for a table upstairs as was son's birthday. They accommodated.
Food - exceptional.
Service - exceptional.
Staff - exceptional.
As many reviewers have said, the owner [Simon] makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A joke here, a laugh there and fantastic service and recommendations. Couldn't of asked for a better dinner.
