Everything was wonderful. All my dishes were very tasteful and well presented. My wife’s menu had a couple of options we didn’t fully like but other than that is a great restaurant. Would recommend for a quiet evening

We greatly enjoyed our meal at Blue Hill. Allie was a great server, as well as the rest of the staff who were very attentive. The food was very good, not life changing, but every course was solid. It's not inexpensive, but as this type of tasting menu goes in NYC it's well priced. We left feeling full but not bloated after the "Farm Feast" We were seated in the back garden room, which we preferred as the main dining room seemed a bit more crammed and noisy.

Consistently awesome, this place has been a go-to for years. The freshest ingredients, most imaginatively prepared. Even foods I typically don’t like I will try here, and then usually love whatever is put in front of me. The space is intimate and understated chic, service incredibly knowledgeable but not pompous. Always a delight.

Superb service, wonderful ambience, beautiful presentation of remarkably unremarkable food -- quirky for sure, but more form than substance. Bland-to-ordinary. Overall, an impressive evening in many ways, but as a meal, pretty unsatisfying.

This was our third time dining here. Upon arrival we were 7 mins early and the table wasn’t ready. The entrance is rather awkward with no waiting space and instead of offering us a drink or seating us at the bar we awkwardly waited for 18 mins for our table. The tables are all very close together with little space so you hear tour neighbors and having an conversation is quite difficult with the noise level. The farmers extended menu was as good as I remember and our server was excellent. However the service dropped off after the first appetizers and there were long waits between each serving. We did not like one of the courses and they were excellent in replacing it without us asking. Sadly later in the evening and following day we both suffered from an upset stomach. Overall it wasn’t As good as past visits likely as we felt so awkward on arrival.

Blue Hill is a great restaurant. All of the food is excellent. Even things I don’t usually like are great. The wine list is extraordinary. And the service is extremely welcoming and friendly.

My wife and I were there for our anniversary. We both did the extended menu and every course was incredible. An anniversary card was a nice touch as well.

This was the best food experience of my life. It was a first real foray into fine dinning, and the helpfulness of the wait staff and exquisite taste of the food made it one to remember.

At no point did I feel like I was unwelcome for trying something new. The staff helped navigate the menu and explained the dishes as they came. Everything was amazing, and the seemed genuinely excited to be able to explain what they had made for us.

I was here last night for my boyfriend's birthday dinner.

This was my first time and I was only told the best reviews so I was naturally very excited.

The meal was fantastic UNTIL I found a small metal staple like piece of metal in my food.

I am not someone who likes to make a scene or to be obnoxious but this is something VERY serious that if I had indeed swallowed could've been very sick. I am not a litigious person and I certainly did not want to ruin the dinner for my boyfriend or for the two couples next to us so indiscreetly told our waitress.

I don't think anything was deducted for me and anything special aside from a glass of free wine.

The meal itself aside from that was great but I'm hesitant to go to the west village location again from this experience.

I'm also surprised the manager did not come over to apologize or anything else was done... extremely disappointed about this but again not sure if this has happened often but I certainly did not get a good service in regards to what has happened to me.

Extremely upset as I was looking forward to this for months and that this happened to me.

I would suggest they train their staff to share something like this to the manager and be a little more courteous and apologetic when something serious like this happens.

I wanted to dine here since seeing Chef’s Table episode. When we arrived, it had an elegant and romantic aura about the dining area. Wait staff was very informative and attentive without being intrusive. We opted for the extended farmer’s menu. Small, interesting plates arrived one after another. As services, wait staff would describe each course and provide any suggestions for eating (using hands, etc). It was food is presentations that I’ve never had before or combinations of foods that I’d never dreamed of combining. Each one a story. A journey. My favorites varies as compared to my date’s favorites. I’m an extremely picky eater, but I went in with an open mind to eat every course. I was rewarded a wonderful meal and a wonderful experience. For us, it was worth the expense.

The ambiance made no sense or seemed overly and unnecessarily formal and entrenched in mindless convention for a cuisine that was trying to push boundaries. Any form of attire recommendations are unnecessary. I also would have appreciated the opportunity to have some of the options on the daily menu be available in the farmers feast. I saw multiple things I really would have enjoyed on the daily menu that weren’t available in the feast. Swaps would have been a fair solution for that I hope. I also thought the closing two dishes in the fest (the sweeter ones) needed work. One thing I wasn’t expecting was how aromatically rich this meal would be - that was a delightfully unexpected strong point.

Food--Outstanding. Service--Outstanding. (Thank you Ali, you could not have been more helpful, more informative, or more gracious in taking care of us.) Ambience--Outstanding.

The food was amazingly good and creatively prepared and plated. Every person we had contact with at the restaurant was great--from Ali, to the staff that brought us each dish of our tasting menu, to the guy we ran into just outside the restaurant as we left who was bringing a wrapped up quarter of a pig in to the kitchen. Each person clearly cared about the guests as well as the food and the creative philosophy of the chef. All in a very very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that was not too noisy. We can't wait to go back.

One of the best dining experiences ever. From the second you walk in, the dining staff brings you into their Blue Hill world. They are incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating about the menu. If they don't have an answer to your question, then they will consult with the chefs. The absolute most original, flavorful, unique meal I've ever eaten.

A most unusual restaurant - hard to describe except to say that the menu is seasonal and ingredient focused and very well prepared. Menu is primarily vegetable based and each dish is exceptional. I particularly liked that our server, Mary, was well informed about the ingredients and preparation of
all of the dishes. We patronize all restaurants with talented chefs and we highly recommend Blue Hill.

Our only complaint is that after the "bean bundle dish" there were ashes on the table that were not
removed even after I asked someone to clean off the table. Many servers and helpers passed our table
and saw the ashes sitting there (obvious black debris on a white table cloth) and no one came to clean it
up. I mentioned this to our server who, then, cleaned off the black ashes. I, as the customer, should not
have to ask the staff to clean the table....ALL FIRST CLASS restaurants AUTOMATICALLY do this!

This dinner was amazing!! Was so excited after watching Chef’s Table that we were flying through NYC and made a pit stop to try this restaurant. Unique and tasty with incredible service and wine.

Great restaurant, its fancy yet cool. Fairly casual for a spot that offers a fancy tasting course. Super friendly staff with no pretentious vibes. Loved the ambiance. A shame we were so jet lagged, but can't fault the restaurant. Pricy but nothing that wasn't expected.

Despite the hype, underwhelming. Kudos for extensive provenance on every bean and Celtics leaf, but disappointing overall both wine and food. Best of all was the bread and butter, but what does it say when that’s the only thing we wanted more of?

Creative, delicious ingredients with a cozy, refined decor. Wonderful and informed service. I can’t recall a time when I’ve enjoued a meal more than the one I had in October. A special favorite of mine was the bread and butter between the third and fourth course.

The food was phenomenal, as was the service. The waiters were helpful, warm and very knowledgable about both the food and drinks, as well as the ingredients. Their re commendations were spot on! We had the daily menu - everything was great but the pork was exceptional and the cocktails were creative and delicious. One of the best meals I’ve had.

The food was simply delightful. My husband is a chef, and therefore hard to please, however each dish was wonderful. We both commented on the flavours of each individual ingredient. The dessert was pleasingly light and delicious.
