The Berkshire Room is an upscale lounge specializing in craft cocktails all created by a talented team. The atmosphere is retro classy and definitely worth a visit before or after dinner for cocktails with friends. There is ample seating either in the private side rooms, the booths in the lounge area or at the bar. The clientele that frequent the Berkshire Room rave about the dealers' choice, which allows guests to choose the spirit, flavor profile and glassware. The bartender then customizes a unique and customized cocktail.

Besides the tasty cocktails and the relaxing ambiance, the Berkshire also offers bar snacks and small dishes. The Berkshire room is located within River North's swanky ACME hotel.

Our server was great as were our drinks. However the host was as not very welcoming when we arrived- he pointed out that making our reservation within an hour of arriving was “risky as tables are very limited.” I would assume if there is an opening on OpenTable, then there would be an available table, which I’d why we booked it. When we got into the bar, there were several open tables but he insisted on putting us at the high top in the corner that he referred to as “not ideal.” Our drinks and everything else were great, but the host made us feel like an inconvenience so we only stayed for one round of cocktails.

Everything was nice!!! We try Charcuterie board only and it was tasty. Though next, we’ll try more bites.

This place is an interesting vibe. The appearance and the music do not match. The music should be a jazz, Frank Sinatra vibe to match the appearance of the place. But the music that plays is like 2010 Usher. It is a fun environment but this place attracts those in their late twenties, early thirties but the music doesn’t match

Terribly slow service, understaffed maybe. Used to be a go-to for me, but this is twice in a row I’ve been disappointed in the service. Don’t go if you’re grabbing one drink before going elsewhere or you’ll miss your next reservation. Even if you allow 2 hours leeway. The drinks are still good.

Always a great spot for some cocktails. The atmosphere is very intimate and the dealers choice is a fun and easy way to try some new profiles of drinks. Went with a group of friends and everyone was happy with the experience. Great option for a date or some drinks before going out.

We stopped here for a drink before dinner and loved it! Each of us did the ‘dealers choice’ drink and all chose differently, every one was so good! Highly recommend.

After coming to Berkshire for over 10 years as a go to spot, it was come to an end. We waited over 25 minutes to just be greeted, no water or menus. Received our one and only drink by minute 40, then once we saw the waiter by minute 80, we asked for the check. Over an hour and a half for one drink, such a waste of time. I asked the manager to help close us out and he provided no help, only anguish as he basically told me that he didn’t care. The watershed across the street provides a great time, even would rather go to Quartino. Truly a disappointment.

We stopped in for one drink so we did not eat. Vine is nice and the drinks also. Way too loud to have any kind of conversation but I would go back for a drink or two.
