Situated in a renovated, early 20th-century saloon, the Barrel House carries tradition forward as a local favorite drinking and dining spot in Yakima. Providing a casual, family-friendly atmosphere, owner and chef Tim Schroeder serves a variety of specialty burgers, sandwiches, salads and soups. Customer favorites include the clam chowder, the Southwest Cobb Salad and the Winemaker Melt (a burger patty, gorgonzola cheese and red wine relish). There are daily lunch and happy hour specials, including a lunch loyalty program and rewards for reservations.
In addition to local microbrews and cocktails, the Barrel House features an extensive selection of Pacific Northwest regional wines. Customers receive a discount daily when ordering Yakima Valley wines by the bottle. The Barrel House is located in the heart of Yakima's Historic District.
