   Made reservations for 8:00. When we showed up at &:50 many people were waiting to be seated (without reservations). We were told by the female hostess that we would be seated after all waiting. Didn't feel right as she was rude, and gave a short answer without explanation. We then asked what seemed to be the manger, and he seated us right away. The hostess did not at all represent the excellence of this hotel and staff. Fodd was so so, but the server was excellent.

   The food and view was great. The only issue was that a group of approximately 15 people came into the area where we were seated and had a loud conversation for 15 yo 20 minues.

   Great celebration venue. Birthdays especially or engagements. Service is very attentive and accommodating. Best time is during day to watch beach activities! Food delicious. Tuna tartare yummy appetizer. Chopped chicken salad great too. Just ask for light dressing. Chocolate chip cookie a La mode in a skillet with chocolate sauce on side is a winner.

    Food and service are excellent. Also the staff are so accommodating, we booked the dining room and asked for a terrace table and got it, then when our party increased to 5 they were still able to make it happen on the terrace. Which is right on the sand, every table has a view and it's not jam packed. A sunset walk on the beach after capped off a perfect afternoon. Highly recommended.

    Sadly, this was a very disappointing evening (Christmas Eve) with my son. I have been dining at this restaurant for many, many years and this by far was the worse experience thus far. The service was non-existent, the food (chicken for me, pasta for my son) was tasteless and terribly prepared. The place was virtually empty (now I know why) . . . We will not be returning any time soon . . .

    Everything was exquisite! The calamari was especially delectable. That cucumber tequila cocktail was fresh with the perfect amount of tang and sweet. Jessica our server was excellent! So kind, knowledgeable, and down to earth. Refreshing in such an upscale restaurant. Would go back for any special occasion and just to enjoy a beach day!

    Service & gratuity is included so that pretty much says it all. Food was so so and service horrible. If you want a drink and a sunset stop here. Otherwise pass on it.

    An amazing night. We had a table on the rail with the ocean crashing beneath us. Food was wonderful. A unique soup made of puréed leeks, potatoes and green apples. Great sazarac!!! The servers were wonderful.

    Lovely setting if you are able to sit outside. It was raining the night we were there so we were seated at a nice window table in the dining room. However, the dining room lights were way too bright; it felt like we were eating in a cafeteria rather than a quaint restaurant. Dimming the lights and adding a candle to each table would greatly enhance the dining experience. Food was good. Service was excellent.

    We waited 30 minutes to get seated even though I had made reservations. But overall, our waitress was amazing and the food was very delicious. I would come back to this location.

    Service was great. Setting was beautiful but the food was very average and aside from the crab legs and truffle fries which we had as appetizers and were delicious — the entrees were mediocre at best— the salmon was fishy and the paella lacked depth. The chicken was described as “boring”— unfortunate as we were expecting a top notch experience for the price— this place was a real let down in terms of the food experience.

    The ultimate in relaxed high-end quality beachside dining experiences. The food is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The location is surreal as the waves crash just beyond the glass and under the outdoor dining area. Highly recommend this to people looking for a place to experience what Malibu has to offer away from the crowds.

    We booked a reservation for my husband’s birthday but they didn’t even remember where we asked to sit or read my note about bringing out a surprise dessert. The food was ok, but nothing special. The check took 45 minutes to arrive… Definitely go somewhere else if you can…

    The team at Carbon Beach Club and Malibu Beach in in general is one of kind. Starting from valet parking, to hosts to waiting staff, this is one dream team of world class professionals, who make every visit a memorable one. They take pride in what they do, and their attitude of gratitude always adds value to every experience there. Have I mentioned their stellar chef and their palate bending creations? Definitely worth your money and time. You will be back for sure, I’ve been going here for 13 years or so. Thank you Angela and team! You are amazing!

    Beautiful location but service was terrible. We went there to celebrate my husbands birthday. I noted it on my reservation and also reminded the server. They didn’t bring out anything special nor recognized the celebration. Food was mediocre at best. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

    The salad was delivered with dry salami when my friend requested “no dry salami”. A new salad should of been delivered immediately. The waitress did not write anything down therefore the order was not correct. Waitress did not refill water or ice tea and kept giving the wrong drink orders to the wrong people. There were only two drink orders an Arnold Palmer and an ice tea. Check took too long to come. Waitress was not aware of our table or our needs.
