Westreme restaurant in Mellieha designed to entertain the whole family for lunch and dinner in a bright space with breathtaking views of Mellieha Bay. The variety of food available makes sure that both parents and kids get to enjoy their meal in a welcoming environment. Whilst making sure all pizza lovers are happy we have also created dishes that will enrich your meal. These include a selection of pastas and meats. A dedicated healthy menu for kids was also developed. The restaurant is also equipped with a dedicated area for children to entertain themselves safely. Our name is derived from the historically significant Westreme Battery that is located just around the corner. Built by the Order of St. John in 1715, this was actually the first line of defence breached by the French invaders in 1798. Over the years, the building was modified, restored and adapted for different uses. Today, only parts of it remain standing as a lasting testament to its illustrious past.

    Food was to die for (I had slow cooked Pork Belly), service was friendly but cordial. On the night (New Year's Eve) it was a bit noisy coz there was a large table of kids eating as soon as they left it was perfect. Place should get slightly more lighting.

    Good choice, chicken halal, very tasty mains and starter. Amazing view inside and outside. Very helpful friendly staff, and modern facilities. Asian fusion mix, not too noisy popular and a happy hour to tempt you on drinks.

    After reading all the reviews decided to book this as a special evening meal with views over the bay. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that there was no room to be seated outside so had to sit inside. Booked table for 6.45, the service was slow and The main meal wasn’t served until gone 8 o’clock. One of the starters ordered never arrived, nor did one of the mains. Fortunately the portions were ample enough to share. This restaurant also feeds its neighbouring restaurant, Which I think added to the delay. Not great when you have two children in the party Wry disappointing.

    Nice ambient especially outside but in summer its better inside as there is AC. small children's play area available. Not on the cheap side.

    We've been in Malta for a week and eaten out most nights this being 2 of our nights out , the food is fantastic ,the atmosphere and view make the whole experience really relaxed, the service is second to none and to top it off there is an air conditioned indoor play are for the kids what more could you want

    It was very bad experience. We ordered rabbit from grill but somehow it was not grilled at all. When we asked it they said they put it in grill list because there is no another list for it. We have ordered calamari but it wasn’t fresh we only had calamaris’ heads. The mussels soup was so so.

    I went on holiday to Malta this past week, and this was by far the best restaurant me and my girlfriend visited. The staff were so kind and welcoming (even remembering us on our second visit). When booking on OpenTable, they give you the best seats in the house, with the most beautiful view. I honestly miss it so much and wish I could go back! This isn’t even to mention the food, it’s literally perfect. A must on a visit to Malta!

    Yesterday went to dine there. Took the manager more than five minutes to come to greet us. Then, he said he couldn't find our booking and something about online booking which we didn't understand. Two people got up and he told us we could sit there. One of the waiters cleared the table but did not come to clean it. The manager had to tell her. She came out with one kitchen roll paper and that's how she cleaned it. She didn't even spray the table...very hygienic! Then the manager told us to sit and the waitress comes back with the menus and literally throws them at us. She didn't even ask if we wanted any drinks, she just ran away like crazy!! Thirty minutes passed and no one came for our order. There were three waiters plus the manager and all stayed inside or in the same area without even having the decency to come to check on us. Worst experience ever! We used to be regulars here last summer. We noticed that the restaurant manager has changed and now it is a complete disaster. We left and went to another restaurant. They have nothing special, there are plenty of other restaurants by the sea. Don’t waste your time here! Not worth it!

    Overall it was good but at 10.45pm we were given clear indications that we had to be out by 11 pm. which was rather embarrassing as we had guests from Australia with us. We frequent restaurants on a very regular basis and we have not experienced this in other restaurants before. Regarding the question below whether we would recommend Westreme to a friend, the answer would be NO for an evening meal.

    Fantastic restaurant! Food out of this world. Staff wonderful and couldn’t do enough. Views to die for. Lovely vibe to go and chill to eat your meal. Brilliant play area for my little girl. Went back three times in a week!

    Everything is satisfactory, the food is good and the ambient is very relaxing. Pity that sometimes you can't come to your restaurant because you don't find parking, but that's something out of your possibility I guess.

    The restaurant offers a front seaview and it calms the eaters as it is very relaxing. Service was great. Food tasty. My two children enjoyed playing in the play area. It is quite a small playarea and thankfully there weren't any other children as it would have not been safe. Thumbs up

    We had a wonderful meal in this restaurant on the fourth day of our holiday, we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves, the food was the best that we had a chance to sample on the whole island (including the biggest dough balls we have ever seen!) service was fantastic, friendly and very helpful. I would recommend that if you come to Malta you make the effort to visit Westreme, you won’t be disappointed.

    We booked a big table for a birthday celebration. The staff was super helpful and very professional. We didn't know if we should book the table inside or outside since it is hard to predict the weather, however they phoned us from the restaurant an hour before our booking to let us know it was good outside. The ambience was superb, with dim lights and our space was great because it was like we were cut off from the rest of the tables. Highly recommend this place.

    I had Girella Rabbit. The filling of the pasta was not bad but the overall taste of this dish was unpleasant as the pasta was hard. We've tasted many other dishes and we always enjoyed them. My husband enjoyed the Gozitan pizza.
