Food was pretty good, but our server was really lacking. It took 20 min to get drinks, and then she left us for another 20 min without taking our order. They also brought out the wrong table's food, so half of us got our food while the other half waited another 10 min. We had to constantly track her down for things, such as refills and the check. Not sure if I can recommend.

Convenient location; however, the food was not very good and the service was poor. We got the hamburger and steak, which were over-cooked and undercooked respectively. The server was inattentive despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We would not recommend eating here to a friend.

We went for brunch. The food was just OK and our server seemed to lack some basic knowledge of the menu. It would be a fine place to go if you were staying at the hotel and just needed a quick meal, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there as a destination.

Easy restaurant attached to Hotel Lincoln. Attentive waiter and food was good. I'm picky to give it 5 STARS but overall satisfied for a hotel based restaurant.

Service was not good at all. After waiting so long for a server, my friend had to stop our server to ask if we could order. 3 minutes after I placed my order I asked if I could change it and was told not a chance. Order has already been placed. My friend asked for her latte several time and finally received it at the end of our meal. In the end, our bill was wrong. I showed the server how one of the items was more than what the menu stated. He actually told me there’s nothing he can do. I had to ask for a manager and showed him the discrepancy. The manager was great. He immediately saw and corrected the mistake. If the server couldn’t change the bill he should have taken it to a manager, rather than have me ask for a manager. It was an embarrassing situation, but it was a matter of principle. I’m sure it’s an isolated situation and I will go back. My food was just ok. My friends liked theirs.

My friend and I dined here on a Saturday evening, and we were pretty disappointed. The environment and ambiance was great--very trendy. The drinks were horrible, and the meat&cheese board was TINY. We ended up getting the carbonara because we were both still so hungry and that was also very bland and not enjoyable. For the price you end up paying, the food and drinks are simply not worth it.

Food was pretty good (great waffles, not great overdressed salad). Unfortunately the biggest downside was the non-stop loud & strong AC over the window seats. The wait staff apologized to a couple tables but said there was nothing to fix it.

Our server was nowhere to be seen most of the night. The food took a very long time to come out and when it did come out most of it was cold. There was no apology made when we informed him. The drinks and the Brussels sprouts were excellent

For an appetizer we had the Hiramasa Crudo which was not only delicious, but an unbelievable presentation. For entrees Laura had the special black trout which was delicious, and I had the linguine Nero which was also delicious with a nice presentation.

We have brunch at the Kennison with a group of eight. Food was fresh and and reasonably priced. The quiche and chicken and waffles were tasty and the omelets were well made. We all enjoyed it!

Don't let a hotel restaurant fool you! Whether you're dining solo or out with a few friends, The Kennison provides a chill, cool, comfortable vibe. The lighting was perfectly dim. The music was great and faint so you can carry on conversations or have it act as a companion for the solo experience. The menu is not overwhelming as many can be. l had the Come on Eileen cocktail and the fried chicken sandwich. It was the perfect amount of food for a late dinner. The rest of the group ordered (and highly complimented!) the burger. Would love to come back to dine on the patio in summer months or grab a cocktail in the winter. Whether you're local or staying at Hotel Lincoln, stop in for a great experience.

We started off with a nice charcuterie board with meats and cheeses, and the grilled octopus which was heavenly. For entrees we had the gnocchi, linquinie Nero and the special blackened trout which was heavenly.

They were understaffed. Waiter was nice and did a great job for so many tables. The Bloody Mary was disgusting and I am sure that is part of the reason I was sick the rest of the day. I don’t know what their special mix was but yuck! Quiche was undercooked. That might have made me sick too. I’ve eaten there before and it was fine but this time was NOT.

My husband loved the chicken and waffles. But I had the omelette and it was only ok. It was weird and lumpy and not seasoned. They gave me four pieces of potatoes- it looked like they were trying to ration the food. The restaurant is beautiful though.

We waited for 15+ min after being seated before a server noticed us and asked for our drink order. Food took a long time to come and fried chicken sandwich and fries were cold. The seared pork belly appetizer was absolutely fantastic and the cocktails were delicious.

This is a good, solid restaurant located close to Lincoln Park and the Chicago History Museum. The strengths here are convenience and well prepared food. The restaurant's ambiance is certainly pleasant, but not anything unique. However, our waiter was excellent and the food was very good. I had the pan seared chicken and my wife had the Pappardelle. Both were well prepared and very tasty. The wine list is not extensive, but it has some good choices at reasonable prices. If you are staying at the Hotel Lincoln, it is an easy choice for a good, convenient meal.

Enjoyed dinner with friends - food was quite good, service was very good as well. A huge party of 20+ came in towards the end of our stay, and it got very loud. Other than that, very nice ambiance. Live nearby and don't often think of The Kennison. Will be back.

We had the restaurant week menu which offered a nice selection l had the pappadellli and my wife had the grilled salmon. Both were excellent, and my wife had grilled salmon. We started off with a salad and onion soup. For dessert we had a delicious chocolate cake.
