Went for lunch with my wife. We ordered several dishes to share. Cooking and serving staff did a great job creating special plates combining all our orders. Great staff, ambience and food made for a very fun lunch date.
Great first time experience. Drinks and food were great. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was awesome and made the experience as great as it was. Several other things in the menu I want to try and I will be returning!
I loved everything except my pork chop was raw and cold near the bone. Of course, the wonderful server offered to take for remediation but I decided to take it home to finish. Chef needs a meat thermometer.
Another good meal at Garabaldi’s...
Loved it all!
Excellent service. Hamburger was divine. Generous wine pouring. I went at lunchtime when it was not very crowded, so I don’t know about the dinner noise level
Heaving when my wife & I arrived. No problems getting to our table. Food was about average, no real criticism but nothing outstanding. Service however left much to be desired. We had to call our assigned waiter to take our orders. Then the pouring of the wine was shoddy, with spillage into my wife’s water glass. The delivery of dishes was rather rough. On the plus side, there was no undue wait. Overall, food was okay but service could have been a lot better.
I love Garibaldi's. It's a gem in a quiet neighborhood. The food and service are absolutely wonderful, and it's quiet, so I believe it appeals to an older set. It's not frantic or noisy, and it's comfortable, beautiful and elegant. Perfect for special occasion, or for just a lovely dinner out.
The worst dinning experience I have ever had. The staff is rude and unreasonable. I would not recommend dinning here to anyone!
Only negative is how loud it is in there-tables May be too close. We could hear every word (loud) people were saying on either side of us-
I love this place....but.. through the years the lamb salad (my fave) went from around 16.00 to around 25.00 they used to have pistachios and green beans. Now there is a lot of lettuce and it says currants. Nope not this time. It was better before.
Good god good service, very noisy
Server was lost and not attentive. We had to call him over for salt and drinks. The food was not up to the standards we have experienced in the past.
Garabaldis maintains the highest standards. The food is well prepared and delicious.
Always delicious and dependable. Good cocktails too.
The couscous, topped with a dressed salad and perfectly cooked lamb is the perfect lunch for me.
The service here is consistently professional.
Several years ago Gariibaldi’s was a really nice restaurant. Since it changed owners a few years ago, the restaurant is poorly run with no leadership. The quality of the food is nowhere as good as it used to be, and the restaurant itself looks run down and in need of a good cleaning. Disappointed that it is no longer what I consider to be a good restaurant, nor is the dining experience pleasant anymore. I don’t think I’ll be going back.
Absolutely delicious food for our group of four, terrific beer and wine choices but yet surprisingly simple.
Relaxing, sophisticated ambiance. Rather limited menu but we were each very happy with our choices. I had the fresh pappardelle with a spicy pork sauce and wished I could lick the bowl!
Friend recommended. Drinks were amazing. Bartender amazing. Food was surprisingly good. An out of the way neighborhood restaurant but very worth the ride.
So good, we’re going back this week! And taking my brother and wife who are very picky.
Excellent cocktail selection, good wines.
Thee of us ate there - one from out of town. The Chicken Milanese was as good as ever. The service was good, but not stellar. When they poured a different glass of wine they used the same glass.
They have isles that are not wide enough between chair legs. The waiter show no interest in asking orther dinners to move so exiting was possible. Great food
You cannot beat the chicken Milanese. Sooo good. Great local neighborhood restaurant, terrific atmosphere. Bartender Jenny is so great, accommodating.
Lovely staff and excellent service. Good food, but the experience is ruined by the deafening noise level
The waiter as attentive without hovering constantly. the portions were good and the dessert was good.
The food is amazing, the place is so cute and cozy, and the wine selection is great. Ideal spot for date nights and other celebrations.
This place never disappoints. Great food, service, cocktails in a peaceful, sophisticated atmosphere. The menu changes often and always feels creative.
Had a friend’s birthday lunch there recently. The staff was terrific in every day. The food was terrific and the dessert sealed the deal. It is a favorite for many special occasions!
We have been going here for their lamb salad for years.we love it
Great neighborhood restaurant with a nice, inviting vibe and delicious food.
Everything was great! Appetizers were excellent and our server had a lot of helpful suggestions. Dinner was phenomenal as was dessert. The only bad thing I have to say, is that our coffee after dinner was barely lukewarm.
Food was mediocre. The restaurant was empty when we got there but they took us all the way back to the last table in the back room next to a drafty curtained area. When we asked to move they Resisted even though there were plenty of open tables and it was still early. Do Open table customers get the worst tables in the house? This is happened to us before at other restaurants with reservations made on OT .
Ambience was fine, service was less than average and the food I thought was mediocre and overpriced . We were looking forward to the chocolate budini tart at the end hoping that would save the meal but it was really just a chocolate mishmosh of stuff with some stale corn nuts thrown in.
I had been here years ago and thought I would give it another shot- but I won’t be going back.
Our waiter forgot to put in the main order so we waited an hour for our main meal and then just canceled it and left. Also the restaurant is very loud - they squeeze tables right next to each other.
Great neighborhood restaurant. It is a little pricey but worth it. Excellent food and very good service.
EXCELLENT FOOD ! Alcohol is VERY pricey - be aware and order accordingly. But omgosh the food is GREAT - our server was also wonderful. Took out of town friends and they, too, agreed - best food they had had on their entire two week trip thus far.
Garibaldi’s had always been our go-to restaurant in Pacific Heights throughout the 90’s so when a good friend had bought his first condo a few blocks away, it seemed appropriate we reconvene at a venue we all had fond memories of and the proper place to start off our friend’s new life.
Good: The food was delicious as usual. I loved my pork chop, the others enjoyed the lamb and the pasta.
Bad: The Service was so disappointing.
Four people asked if we had a reservation. This is a small restaurant. You’d think by the 2nd person they would have communicated something to each other.
We had an 8:30pm reservation. We were 4 older men who, as a group, were fit but obviously looked like we enjoyed food. That said, no one offered us bread and we were starving. We flagged down the bus service to fetch us bread.
Our waiter was inattentive when he removed all eating utensils from 2 seats. Meals were fully delivered and we still had to ask twice for silverware.
Having served the public in different jobs, we always tip well out of empathy. So on top of all of this, we were double-charged on our credit cards (so far, the count is 2 out of 5) and we are dealing with the inconvenience of straightening out this mess.
Unfortunately, this will go on record as my poor choice and a restaurant that used to be great so it will take some coaxing if we eat there again. Now let’s see if I can get through to someone to fix the double charge.
While we are admittedly picky if not fickle, we keep this restaurant on our list of of places we go back to. Something to be said for a restaurant that delivers a great experience over and over again....it is consistently great.
Garibaldi's has been a regular spot for us for years. It is solidly dependable -- comfortable, welcoming and delicious. The star of our most recent visit was also the simplest dish -- an heirloom tomato salad that was just perfect. I am glad the change in ownership hasn't hurt the quality or the ambiance. If anything (and it may be my imagination) the staff seems happier. We always love getting Carlos as our server. He is very efficient, knowledgeable and very sweet.
Excellent Halibut dish. Gnocchi appetizer was a favorite too. Varied wine selection but generally a bit overpriced. Definitely an enjoyable dining experience in a neighborhood setting.
