   Our server was delightful. She was very busy (understaffed?) but kept on top of things and managed to stay friendly and engaging. The food was very good, too -- perfect martinis, a great beet salad, burgers (one of the best in town) and a wonderful pot de creme. It's nice to see such consistency at Garibaldi's after +/- 30 years. The only miss were the "crispy" Brussels sprouts that had good flavor but more like "soggy." Overall a very nice evening at an old stand-by. We will keep going back.

   My wife and I had dinner with another lovely couple at Garibaldi and it was absolutely wonderful. Drinks were perfectly mixed, the wines on the list were very appropriate for the menu and they offered great value for moderate pricing. We ordered most of the starters and the entrees were delicious. Service as beyond friendly and we felt as though we were treated like favored regulars. We had a great evening that was reminiscent of so many pre-covid experiences in San Francisco. They can count on us making many more returns.

   I had been in the past . My sister and BF had not so I took them for his birthday . Chicken Milanese still all time favorite ! Great Whiskey Sours ( Basil Hayden ) and a great white burgundy by the glass. Great neighborhood spot !

   What a fabulous restaurant. Ambiance is great, food extraordinary, it is a bit pricy but you get what you pay for, nice wine list, service was a tad overbearing but nothing bad. Food not to miss: Cesar Salad Meatballs Chicken Milanase Dark chocolate pot du creme Enjoy!

    My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Garibaldi’s, celebrating my birthday! We had a nice quiet table by the window and started off the meal with the Presidio Black Manhattan, at least I think that’s what it was called but regardless, it was just perfect. The charcuterie and the roasted Brussels were great starters and the house specialty Chicken Milanese was fantastic. Options include ordering the “G” salad and topping it with the Milanese chicken which proved to be a perfect blend. The wait staff was friendly and helpful with food and wine selections. Great gem tucked nicely into presidio Ave. Absolutely recommend this spot!

    Food wasn’t as good as I’d remembered. I’ve been eating there for years and was underwhelmed by the taste of the dishes. Also, poor selection for non meat eaters. Not even fish on menu.

    Service tonight was POOR. There seemed to be plenty of people running around and yet our bread and butter wasn’t delivered until we were almost done with our mains. Our appetizer came out then too. Our server’s communication skills were 0/10. It was kind of a mess.

    Delicious steak, pork and chicken Milanese dishes (signature dish). Salad with gorgonzola, nuts, beets was a very good light starter. Specialty cocktails started the dinner off in a fun manner. Brought own special wine which they uncorked and served. Dinner was un-rushed as we needed to catch-up, so we were not pressured. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Restaurant is consistently good.

    This restaurant has been here a long time, and is still busy and turning out great food. We had a delicious dinner and good wine, server was knowledgeable and friendly, place was busy but very comfortable. I'll be back again

    Big problem with the reservation. I changed the time and no. of guests on Open Table to 2 at 6:30. However, the restaurant didn't have the change even though it was on my phone. She said that since our reservation said table for 2 at 6:30, we would have to wait half an hour for a table and there was not room at the bar!!. We pointed out that they had a 10 minute grace period for reservations and there were several tables empty 6:07. Could we wait until 6:10? Then maitre-d said oh yes, maybe that would work. So we waited a couple more minutes and voila! a table for 2 opened up. Not a good way to start the evening, but after that the evening was fine.

    As always food amazing as was service. Only issue was a $40 corkage fee which was unexpected and way to high. For a neighborhood restaurant which we frequent often this price should be adjusted

    Came for new years and it was a fixed menu two course meal. It was $125 per person and each plate was so good. There was a full bar and I got a dirty martini which was really good! Alexis was our server and she was amazing! Would definitely come again! I recommend the duck plate if it’s on the normal menu as well as the fried mushrooms with aioli! Was our favorites.

    It was New Years Eve so this review is only for NYE. I haven’t eaten here in years so I’ll update my review if I come back on another day. Set menu for $150/person. They did not offer any champagne with the prix-fixe meal. The prime rib was cold. The mashed potatoes were cold and watery and not salted. The creamed spinach was great. The amuse-bouche…cucumbers and sesame seeds in a light vinegar, something you’d receive at a sushi restaurant. Not impressive. My celery root soup was wonderful. The ceviche was marginal. The desserts were average at best. The cocktails were fabulous…my compliments to the chef. I had the pineapple vodka special. It was very very smooth. We ordered a Long Island ice tea and it was fantastic. The service was ok. The waiter looked frazzled and when we ordered, he repeated the order back wrong - 5 times. We kept correcting him. It was hilarious and we laughed about it all night long. Other than that, service was quick and adequate. We asked to be seated next to each other in a booth and they were able to do it. It was really nice the hostess read the notes I wrote on Open Table when I made the reservation. They confirmed the reservation earlier and told us I may not be possible to sit us next to each other. Again, great hostess/host. One caveat, to accommodate us they sat us in the back room. You kind of feel like an “after thought” sitting in the back room. The front room has better ambiance. But we were happy in the back sitting next to each other.

    Great food, but very slow service. The servers realized it was slow and kept apologizing, but that didn’t speed things up at all. So come prepared with lots of conversation starters

    The closest thing to a quaint New York restaurant experience you’ll find in San Francisco. Charming, classic and all about the food and cocktails. The service is understated and attentive, and everyone seems happy to be there. It’s a neighborhood joint but also worth the trip wherever you live. Nothing fussy, just great classic dishes but elevated. Love this place!
