Pleasantky surprised that the salmon was wild
Overall thought the food and wine was good
Great good and service! Comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
Server was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Was a great stop later in the evening to relax and share a bottle of wine.
Way too noisy.
VERY GOOD, COZY PLACE TO EAT AND RELAX....the atmosphere is cool and the service is very professional friendly and attentive.
The food is well planned and the dessert is divine and indulgent.
Was there for breakfast and the place was pretty much empty.
Food was good, basic. Went at lunch time and it was quite loud and difficult to have a conversation. Not good for big parties, 4 at most. Good location if you want/need to stay near Grand Central and enjoy a quick bite and a drink
Noise leve really high and they had all teh floor to ceiling windows open on a muggy day -- nosiy inside and traffic outside. we'd recommend with caution.
Had a delicious breakfast- Cap’n Crunch French toast with fruit was excellent. The gruyere omelet also excellent . Abit pricey but it’s Madison Ave and close to the NY Public Library and Grand CentraL
My office is around the corner but for the past 10 years I have never been here. Went for the first time on Monday to take one of my employees out to lunch. Service was good and food was very good. Enjoyed it a lot
Wednesday I gas to take clients to lunch so I thought I would go back. Asked of the had the shrimp bisque soup and was told they did not. We ordered lunch and she came back and said she found out they do have the soup. Two people at the table ordered it. Lunch then was served but no soup. Right after they placed the lunch plates down. The soup is served. No apology that it came at the same time and now I have two hot dishes to eat. We were there for about an hour. We were finished with our meal and the hostess came over to say they needed the table. No problem with that but how about a "sorry"
Food great but could use some table service etiquette
Not the place I expected to have such a good burger. Me and my wife love coming here after work when we need some time together and don’t feel like cooking.
Service was great, they were very attentive. Ordered a charcuterie board and bottle of wine to share with friends - what you receive on the board isn’t really worth the price.
Food was good
Nice place to meet for drinks or dinner with friends near GCT. In warm weather they have a few outdoor tables, which are quieter and offer good people-watching. Our server Ramon (i think that was his name) was great.
Nice early lunch on a holiday.
Food and service outstanding!!! The Best!!!
The restaurant was relatively empty for Saturday brunch. The menu appeared interesting but all of the food was bland. Very nice service and very friendly.
Fantastic for business lunch
Made reservation for 1:15pm got there at 1:10
Sat right down packed but make reservation
Food was great wait staff was on top of us
We were lastnomes to leave at 2:30
Would go again
Naught even go for dinner not romantic good for a few people and drinks at bar
I am normally a fan of the Madison and Vine team, however, we had a less than stellar experience with the hostess. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation. Nobody greeted us. We were told that they weren’t open yet for lunch. The hostess suggested we wait outside. I tried to let her know that I had a reservation. She again told us to wait outside. She then proceeded to lock the doors behind us which was hysterical because the sliding window wall was completely open to the sidewalk! She than sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender. Perhaps an adult should be hired to babysit this unprofessional hostess.
Highly recommend the veal meatballs as an appetizer - probably the best I’ve ever had.
great pasta, service was excellent, nice wine choices for modest prices
We ordered two salads at 1230. They didn’t come until 120PM.
The restaurant was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other speak.
Salad was lettuce and a minimal amount of meat. Absurd for the price.
Great food and service. A little noisy at dinner time. Great outdoor bar
Very reliable place for good food and good service. Usually a bit noisy but a recent breakfast was very pleasant. Reasonably priced food the area so always crowded, Make a reservation.
The noise level at lunch was so loud that we couldn't talk. My steak salad ($20) consisted of a bed of greens with 4 very small thin slices of steak and one piece of cheese about the size of my fingernail along with 3 cherry tomatoes halved around the outside of the plate. They certainly made a profit on that one ! My friend's fish & chips (also $20) came with exactly 3 (yes THREE) cottage fries, and 3 pieces of what were basically large fish sticks. Should have listened to a friend who warned that cocktails here are $20 a pop.
Great service, good quality, well prepared meal. Very tasty.
Always the best place for my morning business meetings - great food great location and great location 👍🏻👍🏻
My husband and I popped into Madison & Vine after a networking event. I suppose it's our fault for seeking a meal in midtown, but the prices were quite high for what we got. $24 Mac and Cheese? We were starving and desperate, so we gave in, but we probably won't return. The waiter was very nice though.
We had a quiet summer Sunday brunch. Comfortable layout, not tables all packed together. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Pace of the service was good. Was not rushed, nor did we feel neglected.
The food was creative and very flavorful. Portions sizes were perfect for a brunch. Very satisfied with the quality of ingrediants and preparation. Had an excellent berry parfait as dessert. Nice finish.
This is near our apartment and we will be nack.
Very nice lunch here - great NYC day and so we sat inside but with the restaurant opened up - really great. Very nice waiter - we spent a long time there and he was very patient and gave us outstanding service. My burger was outstanding - juicy, perfectly cooked, and fresh. Highly recommend Madison and Vine for a nice lunch.
This is my go-to midtown lunch spot, whether it's a business or personal meal. I keep saying I'll have something other than the lamb sandwich one of these days. Failed again today. Perfectly happy with that.
Way too noisy and tables were very close together. Very claustrophobic and way too noisy
A FINE PLACE NEAR THE LIBRARY, AND I HAVE FREQUENTED IT FOR YEARS, BUT THE NOISE LEVEL IS GETTING SO HIGH THAT I AM LOOKING FOR ALTERNATIVES.
This was the perfect place for a business meeting breakfast. I have been to a few other restaurant locations around the area for breakfast and some tend to get too loud. It was nice as this was a quiet spot to actually have a conversation.
Food was good, service was alright. Had to ask for extra plates twice before they were brought over. The individual we first asked for plates was the person who should've checked us in but apparently didn't do that either.
Irresponsible Dining Experience. Dirty, expensive, extremely limited menu.
It's attached to a hotel so perhaps they give vouchers to guests. No reason to ever
go here. Bad choice on my part.
Horrible service upstairs and down
Ambience and service were fine. Noisy even with window open..
Food was very mediocre.
Food and service were very good. The only suggestion I have is that the server should not put the check down without asking if we were interested in having coffee/tea, etc.
The food is good and service accommodating, but the noise level is unbearable.
