   Great lunch date with my 6 1/2 year old twins. They had the day off from kindergarten and I thought they would enjoy having lunch on a boat and they certainly did!!!! They both said,”best French fries ever!” Neither asked for an iPhone or iPad. Alex, our server was awesome!!

   This is a good concept, however a few things to consider. The boats rocks back & forth, sometimes badly, if you are queasy this will affect you. It’s also very close quarters. If you value space, this isn’t the place for you. Lots of activity & noise due to the bar area being overly packed. If it’s hot, you may roast in the sun, although there are some shaded areas. The food & drinks are way overpriced!! Ordered an iced tea, took 2 sips, didn’t like so asked if I could switch for a Diet Coke. They were happy to oblige, without indicating they would not only charge me $6 for the tiny glass of coke (which didn’t even hold a regular can’s worth), but they would also charge $5 for the iced tea that I didn’t like or drink. We spent over $120 on 2 sandwiches, 1 glass of wine & 1 Diet Coke. Not worth it! If you value your money, this place is not recommended.

   When I got here, the entire boat was packed. You are literally on a date with a bunch of other people from the seating to the bar. When we sat down we were greeted by a friendly waitress and our dining neighbors. The oysters were delicious! The drinks were sooo good. However, we ordered food and it took some time to come out. My date and I started to get really sea sick so we needed to get off the boat ASAP. The restaurant wouldn't serve our food to go. They just don't do it they said. So with that, we left. I wouldn't recommend this place. It is extremely pricey and if you get sea sick and need to leave they won't give you your food. Luckily we weren't charged.

   Wait time for a server to even come offer us water was 30mins and it should not take me asking for a server to finally be recognized. Quality of food is subpar for service to be so unprofessional.

    So we came there for the 30th birthday of my girlfriend, they didn’t even care about this ( I was expecting at least a little word for her from the restaurant but nothing happened) Therefore, this is why I don’t recommend this restaurant for this kind of event. Overall the food wasn’t bad at all and the view is amazing there. The tip seems overpriced (18% minimum and until 22% for the service, are you kidding me? ) and you can’t paid with cash. So If you come there for a drink for an after work I would recommend, I think it’s better as eating there. Hope my review will help

    After a mess up by Open Table regarding my reservation, and nearly an hours wait (not Grand Banks’ fault) we had an amazing experience, thanks to the Grand Banks team. Huge shout out to Natalia (the host) and Dani (our server) and also the leader on duty who delivered outstanding hospitality and excellent communication. They really did put the customer first. Well done guys and a huge Thankyou for making our visit memorable.

    Great Banks is a beautiful ship tied up at Pier 25. The lobster rolls are highly acclaimed and delicious although not a bargain. The atmosphere was great- especially on a beautiful day. My only concen is you are on a boat. Other boats are in the harbor and cause waves and rocking of the Grand Banks boat. I couldn’t have stayed for a second glass of wine for fear of losing by lobster roll lunch. If you don’t have great sea legs you might consider another venue.

    The waitress took away our drink menus after my boyfriend and I ordered our first drinks, and when we finished and sat there with our empty glasses, it took three requests, from three different waiters, to get another drink menu...after 20 minutes, somebody finally brought the menu over, and it wasn’t our waitress. Another waitress, wearing bootie shorts where her cheeks were hanging out in the back, dropped cocktail sauce, which splattered all over my coat ... so all in all, I’d probably not return here.

    The weather was perfect so it felt awesome being on the boat. Only gripe is that the entree servings weren't big enough. I ordered the scallops and they tasted good but were small and few. Oh yeah my water melon cocktail with Vodka tasted like sugar syrup, more juice and sugar and not much alcohol.

    Une horreur jamais vu ça! Vin tiré , en pichet pas en bouteille à 60 dollars, c’est hallucinant! Bouffe plus que bof, 4 dollars l’huitre qui mesure 3mm par 2 mm!! Non mais on sait vous faites payer la vue!! Ayez la décence de donner au moins un service minimum! Une arnaque dans toute sa «  splendeur ».

    Beautifully restored 1942 sailing ship on the Hudson with great view! Buzzy but not overcrowded - seats at the Oyster bar as well as tables. Friendly, efficient service. Nice small and larger plate selections - we tried a range and all were tasty. Helped that we had a perfect end-of-summer evening!

    its a great view! some great drinks. but its so not about the food. its okay at best- but the service and location makes up for it. its also over priced. osysters and chiviche were okay. dont get the salads or hashbrown, the latter felt like a 4 year old made it given there was nothing to make but cook a frozen hashbrown and open a can of caviar. was underwhelming.

    Certainly a must if you are an out-of-towner... eating "on the water" is always a unique experience but this is actually eating on the water... if you get queasy with a little bit of a roll to your table then maybe you should pass this by but really it isn't so bad... you get used to it fairly quickly. Definitely a "must experience"... book two months in advance during peak season.

    I really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and the chicken was so good! I really loved their cocktail menu. The drinks are a little pricey, but I only needed one (lol)! Overall the food, drinks, and atmosphere were wonderful. Will go back.
