Expaensive and lousy service
We initially chose this restaurant because it was part of the 2 for 1 entree special offered by a number of restaurants in Jackson during the April shoulder season. We ordered the salmon tacos and the roasted pork tacos. Both were delicious! The margaritas were also really good. I would highly recommend Hatch - great staff and a fun interior. They do have an outdoor seating area which seems popular despite a Main Street view.
Unbelievable food and great value! Sorry we didn’t come sooner!
Food and atmosphere were terrific! Location was easy to get to.
Great Mexican spot with good margaritas. Typical Mexican offerings with local, fresh ingredients. A nice casual restaurant.
Great food, location and service! We loved it and highly recommend
Great food! A bit slow
Great food We loved it
I have been to Jackson quite a few times over the last 30 years and this was probably my worse meal I have had in town. I went with my son after a long day of skiing. I booked on Open Table since in general, the options they offer are usually pretty good. We were seated fairly quickly in a fairly empty restaurant. Waitress came over fairly quickly and asked for our drink order. I asked for a Margarita. She asked if we were ready to order food. I said sure. My son ordered the elk enchiladas and since it was taco Tuesday I ordered 2 tacos. She said most people get 3. I wasn't that hungry and said 2 would be fine. I also ordered chips and salsa. My son politely ask me "what kind of Mexican restaurant charges for chips" When the chips arrived we figured it out, the kind that serves chips from a bag. My son took one bite of the enchilada and realized it was way too sweet for him. He tried to scape the mole sauce off to make it edible. He tried to choke it down but failed. My 2 tacos were Ok. I had the chicken as one and the mushroom as the other. My son appeared to still be hungry so I ordered him a chicken taco since mine had been ok. He took one bite and started gagging again. This time he was choking on a chicken bone in the taco. I paid and we left. I bought him some BBQ from Bubba's on the way home.
The Jalapeño Margarita was to die for!! Order one ... it won’t disappoint.
Asked for recommendations from Erin and she was spot on with the Elk Quesadillas. Also great Spicy Hatcherita on National Margarita Day.
We went on a cold evening and we were cold through the entire visit.
Hatch is a smaller restaurant that offers a new take on Mexican dishes. We were there when a party of 20 also had reservations and the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. The food was good with just the right size portions.
Super easy to book, super easy to find, parking available, lovely wait staff, fast efficient service and divinely delicious food with "to die for" margaritas!!!
Atmosphere friendly and inclusive.
Perfect for a chilled out meal with family and friends.
Entrees were good. Mole rich and tacos unique. Chips were not good. Thinking not cooked recently. Good service.
Love Hatch!! It’s my “go to” spot everytime I visit Jackson!! The absolute BEST “made from scratch” margaritas! Delicious tacos, chips, queso and guacamole! Go! You will not be disappointed!
Really enjoyed the ambiance and service, but my friend and I agreed that the food lacked flavor. Very surprising for chips, guac and tacos! The margs, however, were amazing. The mezcal marg was one of the best I’ve had.
Server offered us to try some of the draft beers, which was really nice. We enjoyed the corn appetizer - just the right amount of kick. The house salad was good - not too special, but refreshing. The carne asada entree, unfortunately, was both tough and not too flavorful. The bison enchiladas were delicious -- that mole was fantastic. Unfortunately, they were quite light on the bison -- and I am not a big meat eater! The mole, tortillas, and cheese were dominant, and you could barely taste nor perceive the meat. I recommend the chef double up on the meat, and raise the price a bit.
We lived this place!! House margaritas were fantastic! At the suggestion of our waiter we had the eggplant enchiladas and smoked pork tacos. So good!!! Service outstanding as well!! If we lived here we would be frequent visitors.
Server was friendly and attentive. Food was not up to par. Cold tacos, Mexican Street Corn was canned corn with sauce added. Nothing authentic.
Hatch has a nice vibe and excellent cocktails. We all loved the queso, salsa and guac. Unfortunately our drinks came very slowly and our food came fast which did not make for a relaxing experience. The tuna tacos were excellent. The pork and pineapple tacos were disappointing- dry and not very flavorful.
We went to Hatch for Taco Tuesdays. Each taco was splendid, but the winner is the Portabella with guacamole. What a great taste. We will return and order 3 more of those next Tuesday.
Nice evening at Hatch. Food was delicious. Previous comments indicated no flavor, but that certainly has been corrected. Host greeted us and welcomed us to our table. Service was wonderful. Prices have increased from what is listed here on OpenTable.
Excellent food, drink and service.
Menu is diverse and 6 of us ordered different items. We all loved our meals. Service was great too. Live music was fantastic. Definitely recommend.
The reviews for this led me to believe service would be mediocre but the food good. I found the opposite. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, no issues with service, if anything a little fast. The outside deck seating area is nice and they had a musician playing on a Saturday evening, who went down well and played a fun set. It was the food that let it down. The appetizer was the best bit of the meal. For entrees we both had the tacos (beef and chicken ones). They were bland, small tiny pieces of chopped up meat, that was plain with no flavoring or spices - nothing Mexican about it at all, apart from the fact it was served on a taco. It might be the night you eat here that makes a difference, or the chef in the kitchen was having a bad day. Overall we were both disappointed by so many positive reviews for something that was mediocre at best. I wouldn't eat here again. The spicy margarita was nice, but not enough to make me go back.
Stopped in to Hatch for dinner... My husband ordered the yellowfin tacos and I ordered the al pastor tacos and we split the black bean and corn salad. Everything was great, very fresh and delicious BUT the tacos were a bit dry and required salsa which was HOT! But delicious. Margaritas were also good. We would certainly return.
Fabulous and authenic mexican food - sauces are terrific, great margaritas, chips and salsa. The corn tortilla soup is flavorful chocked full of veggies with great chilli pepper flavor - everything on the menue is wonderful, fresh ingredients and the mole sauce is "lick your plate" good!
Great food and service!
Really lovely time- great tacos and guac plus vegan options. All tacos and chips are GF, plus other options.
busy eclipse weekend in Jackson but the service and food were good and relaxed.
Since when do i get charged for an ice tea refill? Also, where we were seated we could see too much socializing between servers while we were waiting to pay the bill. I suggest tightening up the way people are handled in the reataurant.
It was good.. not a great variety in the menu--
I never write restaurant reviews as I used to for a living, but I have to say this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had in any establishment anywhere on the planet. I never had a chance to even try the food! Upon waiting an overly long period in a near empty restaurant at lunchtime for our rude female server to show up following a perfunctory seating by the host, I politely asked her if one could get multiple types of tacos in their standard three to an order? She immediately barked in reply with a scowl the obvious non-answer that, "Our tacos come three to an order," with the clear intent that I was a jerk for asking. I said to my companion that , "We can do whatever you want, but I would like to leave." The Millennial-aged server then cut off my companion's response by telling me, "You are welcome to leave." At that point, I thanked her for her permission and we walked out. Can't say if the food is any good, but if the service is any indication, it is the worst in the world and will leave your insides annoyed and, likely, angry you even wasted your time. It may seem trivial, but trust me it was so crude and obnoxious, you would have as well unless a sadist. They're a host of good places to eat in Jackson, this clearly is not one of them no matter what you read or here elsewhere. No decent chef, cook, manager, or restauranteur would allow their staff to act this way toward a customer.
We had a fabulous dining experience and the best tacos ever with even greater Margaritas
Sat at the bar and was totally ignored for over 15 minutes. We ended up leaving!
Fantastic restaurant with amazing margaritas. We were delayed in getting our table because the rain had forced other parties to move inside - totally understandable- but Hatch comped our first round of drinks. Fantastic service, people, and food. Would definitely go again.
Had the Bison enchilada's and was generally disappointed. Small portion - not much meat or even much cheese. Mole sauce was primary flavor that came through and that was too sweet for my liking. Margaritas were not very impressive either. My other half had the elk quesadilla which was better - but just okay.
Good food( esp the corn appetizer! And tacos!), great drinks, and great outdoor space in the summer
