The new management company is running this restaurant in the ground. Bartenders are great. After that the service was atrocious. We had to beg to get a check so we could leave after dinner.

Its a hit or miss with this place. They change management too often. NO ONE at the bar EVER! Waited too long for the waiter and I literally had to go to the kitchen to get him.

The room is lovely. It is too bad the restaurant is so bad. There was only one server in the place, but he knew nothing about the menu, and the menu is very limited. Fish of the day? No idea. Ingredients? No idea. Food came to the table willy-nilly, mains before appetizers, salads at the same time. Only one of our six enjoyed his meal. For the others, the food was over-cooked, under-flavored, and poorly presented. A person might want to go look at the restaurant. It is visually lovely, but don't eat there.

The server seemed to be new and not know what to do yet. However once you take the service issue away, what you are left with was great food. Their burger is awesome, and you need to try all their desserts.

We used a scout mob for $69 that included 2 drinks, 1 app, 2 entrees, and one dessert. Everything was great until the entrees came out. The shrimp and grits were great but the steak was burnt and low quality. Also, the server disappeared and then didn't come back until we were done. We ordered dessert and waited 45 minutes with until we finally had to ask someone what was going on. The server said there was a "malfunction" in the kitchen... So we didn't get dessert even though I had paid for it with scoutmob. They offered us two free drinks but we were ready to leave by then. Won't be going back or recommending.

I try to be a kind and gentle person so writing a poor, downright lousy review is difficult for me. Our meal to take out business guests for a nice evening was awful, awful, awful. We have eaten at JP's every time we work at Market since the restaurant opened. We arrived on time for our 6:45 reservation but never had a drink until 45 minutes later. Our food arrived at 9:00 and was inedible. Mostly everyone had burgers ordered medium rare and when they arrived they went from well done to almost inedible cooked. The rolls for the burgers were as dry and overlooked as crisp crackers. What a disaster. The manager Celeste at first tried to be polite and offer excuses. On our second conversation with her she realized we were not try to make any scene and she agreed the food presented was awful. She was very gracious and we recommended she find a better restaurant to manage. Our meal was comped, as it should have been. We realize none of this terrible experience was the fault of the waiter so we have him a very generous tip. The restaurant knew they were in kitchen hell when we arrived. They should have stopped seating people and realized their limitations. Celeste pleaded with us to come back so she could prove JP's merit. We realize meals go wrong but tonight was a total disaster.

Date night with my husband. Perfect evening in downtown Atlanta. Love the atmosphere of JP atlanta. It was a quiet Saturday night. Had our own little nook area for dinner. The service, the food, the cocktails were perfect. We started with the Georgia peanut hummus. So good. Had the steak and fries with grilled asparagus. Steak so flavorful as well as the fries and asparagus. My husband loved his halibut. Flakey, tender and full of flavor. Desserts are small but pack a powerful punch. Especially the brandy cream bread pudding. The passion fruit tart is very good too. Service was really good. They have valet parking right in front of the hotel. Great evening.

We were very disappointed in the service that we received. We were in town for business and chose this restaurant because of the location and menu. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. Two of our team members arrived early and waited at the bar for 15 minutes prior to our reservation and were never offered a drink. When we were finally seated, we waited almost 20 minutes for water. Placing our drink/appetizer orders took just as long as the server had to make 2 trips to the bar to ask what was still in stock. Several of us ran out of water during the meal. The food was good and presented well, but several of our team noted that it lacked flavor and seasoning. For context, this was a Wednesday evening, our reservation was at 7:45, the restaurant was less than half full, we weren't seated until 8:15, and we didn't start eating our entrees until 9:30. All in all, it was a less than stellar experience.

Very nicely appointed dining room which was fairly empty and very quiet. Tables were nicely spaced and even when full I suspect would be a good volume. Good ingerediants prepared in a moderate way. Standard preparations were presented on all dishes. Server was only one on staff and running room service as well. He complained many times about being over worked and dining experience good while over two hours for appetizer and main course. Due to slow service all drinks, apitizers and some entrees were taken off bill. Extra round of drinks for free. Excellent attempt at making up for an overall poor experience. However, the quiet dining room made for enjoyable conversation with friends!

I travel to Atlanta about once a year on business. Last year, my business companions and I ate at JP and enjoyed it so much that we returned the next night to have dessert. Unfortunately, the desired dessert - an exceptional fruity baked alaska, was not available the second day. Thinking that lightening wouldn't strike twice at the same restaurant, I returned last week only to find that the online menu did not reflect the choices available at the restaurant - no baked alaska and no beef shortribs. Our server was great; very attentive and very apologetic, but I would definitely recommend calling ahead to check out the available menu if the online version seems tempting. Food was okay. Service was very good. Menu choices; not as good as advertised.

It was a "we are exhausted night" and the burgers we just what we need to end a hectic day. Our server was very good but a bit over extended and she worked very hard to keep everyone comfortable. My salad with my burger as an alternative to fries was excellent. We always enjoy JP's and wish it could be less Atlanta's Mart driven

The Good: Food was excellent, but the menu had not changed for 2 years and the portions seemed a bit smaller. Our reservation time was met with an immediate table. The Bad: It was so sad to see that the beautifully trained staff that had been at the opening of the restaurant had vanished. The result was an overworked unqualified or else just understaffed mess. Our darling water girl got the hostess to find us a waiter, but instead the hostess took our order and the other diners near us, who had been waiting an hour and a half, also used her. They were shocked we got our meals so quickly. But we had expected the quality that had been there before. We also had to attack someone else to get us a bill. Compliments to the hostess for stepping up to a challenging situation and for getting the orders correctly and quickly. I don't know what has changed to downgrade my opinion so much, but someone needs to fix it asap. We were shocked to say the least.

J P's has the potential to do so much more and we will be back. It was January Market and JP's was packed, understaffed and I must say everyone on JP's staff worked hard to keep it pulled together. The host was most cordial juggling some very annoying people who just did not get it was a full house with some inexperienced staff. The meal worked, the food was fine and we managed. We want to come back at a quieter time to learn more about the food offered.

We went on New Year's Eve with a reservation. When we made reservation, we did not know there was a prix fixe menu that night. That was our only choice to order from. Food was overall good and fairly creative. Dessert was the best part! Atmosphere was not as good as expected and is very much in the lobby of the Indigo hotel- does not feel like a separate space really. A good option for downtown Atlanta, but not a foodie place.

We to JP for a business dinner with a group of 6. The service was excellent, and everyone was impressed with the food. Great wine list too. Highly recommend. The lobby of the Indigo hotel was also amazing to walk through.
