Rosalyn took care of us by explaining in detail the food and answering our particular questions about the food. She also shared the fascinating story of the Hotel Emma.
Bronzino prepared Mediterranean style was delicate and outstanding. Roasted chicken breast was beautifully prepared with special polenta. Dessert was layers of fun with chocolate, pomegranate seeds, a churro, Mexican chocolate ice cream and topped off with a beautiful toasted meringue.
Located in Hotel Emma adds to the ambience. Food was excellent. Will go back again if I am ever in San Antonio again.
Great food. Service was a little slower but overall experience was awesome
Great atmosphere, great customer service!
Overall great experience / lunch date.
Ate both breakfast and dinner. Both really well done. Not hugely creative just classically well executed. Sand with wine list. Not
Everything was fantastic and beyond our expectations! I was pretty tired of San Antonio but would travel back just for this restaurant. I wish more restaurants would go "the extra mile" the way Supper does. Hats off to the manager, wait staff, and bartender.
Delicious food, but needs more attentive servers and slightly bigger tables or smaller plates.
Memorable meal and outstanding service. Will be back.
Excellent food, great service!
Being able to reserve a table on opentable is awesome and convenient. We were sat right away. The place is beautiful, love the industrial look. We ordered the lamb bolognese and lemon dill risotto...both were delicious! I prefer noodle bolognese, but the dumpling style was still good. I ordered the fried quail and it was delicious as well. Service was great. The only thing that made the experience unpleasant was a server who dropped my food on my lap and I was wearing white so it was stained.
The food and wine were terrific with many creative dishes.
However, the service was very slow and sloppy. When finally delivering the main courses after a long wait after finishing up our starters, the staff ended up spilling one dish onto another and into a glass of wine at the table. The restaurant replaced the wine and the dish but getting a replacement dish involved another long wait - everyone finished up except for the person waiting for the replacement. We would not have expected such service from this caliber of restaurant.
Fortunately, we had a far superior brunch experience at this restaurant.
Awesome everything! Date night with my wife, the food was outstanding, creative, local, well seasoned, couldn’t have asked for better.
Great food, great venue. Ordered off of each food selection. Everything was on point. Will return
Jessica was awesome as usual!
Our servers were fantastic. Jennifer in the bar was excellent!
Victoria was an awesome waitress!
Great food, service, decor, and ambiance.
The food combinations are a little unusual, but I have never found one I did not love. Rock solid place!
Excellent food and great prices. Would love to stay at the hotel next time, so we could stroll down at anytime and have a fantastic meal.
The service was awful, very slow and not very nice at all.
While breakfast at Supper was sort of subpar and pretty pricey for what you get, the atmosphere is great and the employees are awesome. That being said, although I enjoyed my first experience, it's not necessarily a place I would be rushing to go to again. On that note, the one thing I can absolutely rave about, was their beignets! If you do happen to go to Supper, definitely get those! They are yummy and was definitely the talk of my visit!
My wife and I had a lovely anniversary dinner at Supper. The food, service and atmosphere we’re phenomenal. Can’t wait to come back!
Teresa was amazing! The food was outstanding!
Great service. Nice to see they have adjusted portion sizes commiserate to prices. Would like to see a few more menu choices. Maybe a pasta choice and an additional seafood option. Very enjoyable.
The food wasn’t as good as I expected but it was still pretty good.
Changed the fish selection from online menu. Appetizers were great, and the service was good.
Wonderful food! We had a great evening. I love the lamb bolognese.
This place is great for breakfast! The staff made my family and I extra special on my 31st birthday breakfast!
It was our first visit to Supper, and we loved everything from the food to the service to the decor.
We shared a pasta dish, a type of gnocchi with lamb ragout, the spinach salad, and quail. All were excellent. I wasn’t as thrilled with the dessert offerings but everything else was delicious.
We will return soon!
So Ill admit im a sucker for the word SUPPER, and thas how i came to choose this one. It wasn't bad! The ambiance was fantastic (might i add, situated in a lovely hotel) and my dishes were great, our waiter Michael gave me his recommendation of the fried smoked quail, which was amazing and i hate smoked anything. The only thing that irked me was that the kitchen ran a little behind (Saturday night, so understandable) but my waiter came to apologize many times for it, even though, in my opinion, wasn't HIS fault. There was a drink called “this must be the place” and it was, to say the least, memorable. I wasn't crazy about that pear and ricotta cake that I got to go though, and yet if you asked me if I’d go again if in San Antonio, YES YES it would be the place.
Food was excellent. Our waitress Jackie Arnett was fantastic! Highly recommend Supper.
Appetizers and salads were great. Dessert was also great. Service was exceptional. The entrees were good but not great. Quail was good but farm raised so tasted like chicken. It was still good but not special. Steak was inexpensive and cooked well. It just wasn’t a great cut. I hesitate to criticize when it was prepared well but either it should be removed from the menu or switch it to a rib eye and charge more. Overall it was a very good meal at a unique eatery.
Service was superb. Food was on point. Ambience was romantic. What a lovely evening!!
Supper has a rustic-contemporary chic appeal. Greeted very warmly at the reception, very friendly staff. On to the food: I ordered the chicken and vegetable soup to start, it was served luke warm, slightly cold to my liking, the wait staff was was quick to reheat it when I brought it to his attention but unfortunately without recompense. I ordered the Market Seafood (it was halibut today) it sounded delicious on the menu. It was beautifully plated when it came out, but having to use more than one utensil to eat fish, you know it’s been overcooked. It was dry and bland. When the manager spoke to me about my meal, I told him exactly what’s on this review, alas, there still was no recompense, yet again. This is a lunch service, I read and heard better reviews on their breakfast and dinner services, which I’m willing to give a shot.
Hands down one of my favorite spots in San Antonio. Aside from being located inside an insanely cool hotel, the food at Supper is DELICIOUS. The burger is really unique -- a must-try. Actually every dish has a unique spin to it and is delicious. Go!
Went with my mom and her friend, before their flight out of San Antonio. Great for Brunch. Our waitress was very pleasant and super helpful. We shared the beignets, which was served with a yummy apple compote. My mom enjoyed her frittata, and I was in love with the smoked salmon sandwich and the ginger carrot lemonade. Her friend got the lavender cocktail, which is as gorgeous as is tasteful. I would definitely recommend Supper.
Fabulous! Farm-to-table creative, fresh meals. Wonderful casual, chic, rustic surroundings. Have already made my next reservation to go back!
Breakfast at Supper is great. The menu is farm to table, and the food is awesome. The service is wonderful as wll.
Supper is located in the Hotel Emma, part of the Pearl Brewery complex a bit north of the Riverwalk- but still located on the river. The interiors are a mix of its industrial root, with a European Cafe/bistro feel that is very charming. There are also six or seven barstools that walk directly onto the kitchen that are available, as well. My friends and I started with the brussels sprouts with salt and vinegar, and the blistered peppers from the appetizer menu. The peppers came with kale chips that were perfectly salted, and the brussels sprouts were nothing short of amazing-slightly acidic, and salty with a lovely roasted flavor. My Atlantic cod was seasoned and crusted perfectly, and the combination of thinly sliced pickled vegetables and carrot purée was so good. My friends both cleaned their plates. We each had dessert and coffee, so get the churro or the burnt honey cremeux; you won’t go wrong!
Went for lunch this time. Nice menu and good value. Wish the dinner menu was as accommodating.
