My partner and I chose Barano to introduce our families for the first time over brunch and it was a wonderful experience. We had friendly and attentive staff who were accommodating to our large party and everyone enjoyed the food. Also, both of our mothers have hearing impairments do we specifically chose a restaurant that wouldn’t be too loud and crazy and Barano was the perfect mix of a calm but beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Food was very good. Branzino was as good as any I've had in italy, north or south. However we came for the tasting and were told by the server and manager, that it probably would not be enough for a meal and we should also order entrees after, i mean wtf. Real bad vibe barano. Also we were rushed, as we sat at 6:55 and were out the door by 7:50. That includes drinking a bottle of vino.

Really disappointed in our meal. Everything fell just short of being good. Too much over or under seasoning, overcooked squid, mushy noodles and random hard veggies throw in to the pasta dishes like we were toddlers.

This was our 2nd time dining here and the food was wonderful both times. Our service was not as good this time, as our waitress expressed how tired she was and the service reflected it. While we were going all gluten free as one member of our party has Celliacs, but one of our salads came out with croutons. It just may be growing pains with new staff and we will return because once our order was straightened out things picked up from there. They usually do an excellent job, especially with gluten free requests.

Great place for food and drinks. Food came out quickly from the kitchen and was hot and flavorful. Prevention was also noted. Drinks were creative and tasty from the bar as well. Service was awsome with waiters all over serving, filling water and clearing; also able to describe dishes and recommend cocktails.

There was only one other table when we arrived on a Sat afternoob and it was surpisingly quiet. Our server was attentive, kbowledgeable and made good suggestions. The meatballs, Carbonaro &,Nonna Pizza Pie are all worth going back for. The restauarsnt could use a minor facelift but charming and clean overall.

It was my boyfriend and I's second anniversary and we had selected "Annivesary" for the special occasion on Open Table - not sure if the restaurant would even notice it, and they ended up welcoming us with two glasses of Prosecco! Amazing service and really great food. Also a huge plus is that my boyfriend is gluten free and they have a completely separate menu for those gluten free options :) Would highly recommend!

Always like this place..solid food but after this weekend I have a reason to frequent it more often due to the fact that the bone marrow pasta is OFF THE FRIGGIN CHARTS. A word to the wise for management. NEVER TAKE THAT DELICIOUS MORSEL OFF YOUR MENU!

Barano was fantastic. The antipasto plate was one the nicest ones I’ve ever had. The portions that you receive on it are much larger than at other places, and it was so fresh and delicious! My fiancé and I shared the vodka pie (SO good) and the spaghetti chitarra with meatballs, both of which were delicious. I could have eaten 10 more meatballs they were so good. The portion sizes were very nice and we had significant leftovers. Overall highly recommend for a nice evening out!

I’ve been here before and the experience was amazing. This time the ambiance was still the same but the food sucked for me. My partners dish was delish and the potion size made sense. My dish (plain spaghetti)was about the same in cost and the portion size was tiny. It was basically a tea saucer of food. I though I was being punked when it came out. It was like a child’s portion size of BOXED spaghetti( I know fresh pasta/went to culinary school), great tomato sauce, a sprinkle of fresh parm, and 4 basil leaves. For twenty dollars it just felt like a ripoff.

Service was not good, I had to ask for pepper 3-4 times for my salad. Also drinks were coming out very slow, food was quicker. Food and drink were delicious though and the host was very friendly!
