Yummy!! Loved chopped salad!!
Son and daughter in law visiting. Absolutely delicious food! Every bite!
Great atmosphere and yummy fresh food
Love the outdoor patio!
Homemade Pumpkin Pie!!!
Food, atmosphere, service are all perfect. Couldn't ask for more.
I’ve been to Grassroots several times and have always enjoyed the Ahi salad. It is still very tasty but the portion size is half what it used to be and the portion of Ahi was minimal.
My husband loves their babyback ribs ....and i'm Addicted to their Scottish Salmon which you can get with half salad. They never dissapoint!
Excellent service, nice looking comfy place with beautiful patio and choice of low tables, high tables, bar seating and booth seating inside. Very opened and pleasant. The food is what the menu says it is, American with southern flare which implies big portions (plan your meal accordingly). Real restaurant where they make all the food from scratch. Our party of 4 loved all their dishes, except for a sashimi salad which I liked but was way too sweet for my taste. Still it was good, if I was to make it without the sugar and include more acidity, it would have been perfect. But that's just my personal taste, not a reason to remove a star. Food is creative and very well executed and presented. Nice ambiance too. Will definitely be back to try other items.
Great service, fair prices for delicious food. Highly recommend this restaurant!
This was subpar for our 10th visit. We always get the Short Ribs and they are usually most an flavorful. This time they were dry and over cooked. Very uncharacteristic. The staff was fantastic, Taylor our waitress was fabulous. We will always go back and hope these are not issues in the kitchen or a change in the recipes. We love it so much we make short ribs at home now.
We frequent this restaurant. Always have been consistently good. My only issue were dogs (not service dogs) were allowed in the dining room without being asked if they were service animals. Unacceptable!
Great food good atmosphere wonderful wait staff. The staf answered all questions no issues except parking a bit hard! Some noise but people having fun! Took sis for her birthday she had a vodka root beer float!
We really enjoyed our scallop with polenta meal. Delicious! Service was terrific. We will definitely be back.
Met a friend for lunch. Good food and attention. No complaints.
I would like to know why you wrote me that I would not receive my dining points. I am assuming it was open table that wrote that, not Grassroots.
Always delicious and big ice cube for my Manhattan!
We had an excellent salad and delicious ribs, reasonably priced
After a hike this was a great find! Both comfort food and healthy cuisine. Our whole group was delighted.
2nd time in one week, but can’t believe you let a yappy barking little dog to be seated where food is served.
Delicious spare rib, beautiful space.
Always enjoy dining at Grass Roots, live close by, it's my go to place! Fortunate to have a great restaurant like Grass Roots in the neighborhood! Food is always consistent and delicious. Will be back soon!
Fantastic food in a pleasant atmosphere, along with excellent friendly service. We will definitely be back!
Always a pleasure! The food was great, they have a nice variety on the menu, and it’s executed perfectly!
Great staff! Shrimp poboy & gumbo delicious as well as the chopped salad.
Met a dear friend, the priest who witnessed our marriage almost 35 years ago, for dinner as this was close to his home. Food was great. Service was outstanding. A bit noisy for an 82-year-old and the sun was bright in my eyes, but overall the evening was outstanding.
The Thursday soup was good but not a fan of the burrata salad on the happy hour menu. On of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.
Miss the “dad’s grocery bag” happy hour menu item.
We've been fairly regular patrons of Twisted Grove, which we like a lot, but had never tried Grassroots until last weekend. The family relationship is obvious; the cuisine, although featuring a different regional emphasis, is equally good. Rather than a fine dining feel, both are more neighborhood-like in feel. The food had a nice southern influence, as for a couple that is pretty well acquainted with eating in the south, we were pleased. Portions are generous, and flavors are good, although the brisket could had been seasoned a little more. The shrimp and grits were great. Although I think I have a slight preference for Twisted Grove, we will be frequent patrons of both.
Six of us went for a nice lunch on Saturday and sat out on the patio. We all loved our food and our server was very attentive and professional. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna salad with avocado, wasabi peas, edamame and a yummy miso vinaigrette. Ate every speck of that salad. Everyone was very happy with their choices and they let us linger and enjoy the beautiful day.
I loved everything about this place. Amazing ribs and pork belly.
We met some out of town former neighbors we haven't seen in three years at this restaurant for lunch. We wanted a place we could talk and hear each other without screaming. We requested to be seated out on the patio which was more quiet than the inside seating. Even though it was drizzling outside, the covered patio was very cozy and dry. Service was very good not great. The food was excellent. My husband had the brisket sandwich. I had the poke. Our friends each had two different salads. Everyone sang the praises of the food as excellent. I thought everything was also an excellent value. The only real detraction was from the road when some hot-rod noise was beyond obnoxious for a brief time. Most of the time the road noise was not an issue.
I would definitely recommend Grassroots Kitchen and will consider going back if we are in the area.
Another fantastic meal. Service was “spot on”. Social Hour menu has yummy, affordable items. Sunday evening wasn’t too crowded, so the noise level was decent. They also have a great outdoor eating area. Highly recommend Grassroots.
We came here for restaurant week and my husband and I got the ahi poke and the burrata appetizers which were both amazing, I couldn’t decide which I liked best. Then for our entree we got the ribs which were so tender and just fell off the bone and the shrimp and grits which were perfectly creamy and spicy! We also sat outside on the patio which was a beautiful and relaxing setting, much different feel from the inside of the restaurant. Loved it and will definitely be back!
FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND SERVICE IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT
We visited during Restaurant Week because we like to explore new options. The ahi tuna appetizer was good but my shrimp were over cooked in my very spicy shrimp and grits entree. The chocolate toffee brownie was just ok.
The decor is nice but the noise level is almost unbearable. Very hard to converse with our friends.
Staff was very nice and service was very good.
From a prompt friendly greeting (by the hostess in the pretty golden skirt) to the attentive and accurate service from server Austin, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch experience. Can’t wait to go back!
Love the salmon and farmer's chopped salad combo!
Unique menu offers creative comfort food. Service was friendly and attentive. Very good restaurant week menu.
Excellent service, amazing food and great atmosphere. We ate outside and the kids loved the trays their meal was on - super cute! And a great selection of kids food with a side of edamame and asparagus which both my kids ate! And don’t forget the surprise dessert for the kids! Classy for the adults and fun for the kids. Highly recommend for families or even with friends for drinks at the bar.
