Wife’s Birthday. Beautiful, delicious food and excellent service!!
The venison with pear was a fantastic stroke of imagination and quite good. However, my husband's scallops had sand in them and the wait staff vasciliated between on distainful and over attentive. While the food was good, the price point was such that I don't think it was worth it. I'm disappointed that Alain Ducasse lent his name to this place, as I don't think it rises to the caliber one would expect from him .
A splendid evening of excellent food, wonderful service and extraordinary view.
A must do anytime in Vegas
get the Buillabase borth, so good
tables on the patio have an amazing view of the strip, request that
So happy I ended up at Rivea. Fantastic view, very good food. I had the tasting menu. It was too much food for me but happy I tried many items. Cocktails were too expensive. $20 for a Manhattan!? Yikes. Great service, great servers.
We had an amazing dinner here. Service was top notch, and other than the jeans the waiters wore it was on par with Guy Savoy but at a much more affordable rate.
Love love the souffle. The foie gras was delicious. The duck was satisfying.
Fantastic experience for my mother-in-laws going away dinner. Not cause she is going away but the service provided by Tracy AGM, Bianca Gourmet Foodserver, and Devin sommelier. A night to remember for a lifetime. Thank you to the whole staff at Rivea
Rather disappointed in restaurant. Food was very good; however service and ambiance was a let down. The restaurant was much prettier when it was Mix. Restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday night. Waiter was rather annoying, babbling on about God knows what. I mentioned in my reservation and also when we first arrived at the restaurant it was my husband's birthday and the only acknowledgment of that was a small candle placed on a dessert we had already ordered. There are too many good restaurants in Las Vegas to waste my time and money on this one again.
The food was cold. The steak was hard, tough and I could barely chew it. $52 for a NY. 14oz was maybe 8 ox. 1/2 inch thick. So so disappointed. If you want better steaks I suggest Sizzler or pondarosa. The Mandalay Bay Resort should have higher standards. Not to mention the service on this review but really poor.
Great all around!
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The atmosphere, the service, the food--everything was outstanding! Extremely creative cuisine presented perfectly! The service was SO good-I can't come up with enough words to describe! Loved everything!
Competitive with the very best fine dining anywhere Not only in this city but anywhere on the planet
Food was fine, but not remarkable. Service, however, was lazy and seemingly confused. Difficulties included proper delivery of orders, timing, and lack of attention during the final parts of the meal. We had to ask for desert menus and a bill, and the total time stretched to 3 hours while our waiter became disinterested in our group.
I was really disappointed in the overall experience. This restaurant used to be the most beautiful restaurant on the strip and it was very classy. They’ve turned it into a casual place where they let people in with cut off jean shorts, sandals and tank tops at $50+ a plate! Even the serving staff wear a terrible, casual “uniform” with tennis shoes and suspenders. For the money, the food wasn’t anything special and the service was incredibly slow. We spent about $600 for 4 people without tip! We are locals and this used to be one of my favorite restaurants when it was called Mix, but we will never come back here. I think they’ve gone through an identity crisis and have gone downhill—“bigly!”
The food was bland with little flavor. The menu is limited. The wait staff seemed slightly awkward. Our table was very small. We celebrated our anniversary in Vegas. This was the ONLY restaurant that did not compliment us a dessert. For fine dining in Las Vegas there are much better choices in this price range.
We went to Rivea on a whim after seeing it mentioned in a ‘Three Perfect Days in Vegas’ article. We are so glad we did! We arrived while the sun was still up and had a drink at the Skyfall bar (Vegas prices, oh well) while being astounded by the views of the entire valley. Then we moved around the corner into the restaurant for a different perspective of the valley. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner while the sun set and Vegas lit up. The service was amazing - especially our waiter, Christopher. He knew the menu inside out and was able to guide and advise us. We decided out a selection of the small plates to share. We started with burrata and tomatoes, caponata and socca, a chickpea flatbread. All were absolutely delicious. We followed with two pastas, one with short rib and the other a vegetarian ravioli with mint. Completely different and both amazing. My husband was very pleased by the big chunks of meat in the short rib pasta. For the quality of the food and the service we received we felt the prices were quite reasonable. When we go back (and we will) we will request an outside table. It was just a bit too warm to dine outside the evening we were there. The inside tables still afforded a floor to ceiling view and the music and ambience were lovely. Thank you, Rivea!
Visited this Alain Ducasse restaurant again after trying it in July when I attended Michael Jackson Cirque de Soliel show in Mandalay Hotel lobby in July. Food and service was OUTSTANDING again. I love the French city of Nice which sits on the French/Italian border for its fusion of French/Italian cuisine (among many other qualities), and this restaurant offered the same - something rare to find in the U.S. It is on the top floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, so if you sit on the west side of restaurant you get a great view of sunset over mountains. If you sit on east side, you get a dazzling view of Las Vegas glitter at night. Pea soup was amazing, and octopus was the best I have had EVER!!
Food and service was excellent. It was as expected from a Alain Ducasse restaurant.
Wonderful service. Our experience was first class. Thank you to the wonderful staff who put their best attitudes and accents to our delight.
Ate dinner here Tuesday night with my wife. The food and service were good. After spending around $280, the restaurant refused to validate our parking. They said it was MGM corporate policy. So we had to spend another $18 on parking. To me, that's a slap in the face. MGM needs to reverse this policy (Wynn recently reversed theirs). Because of it I will not eat at any restaurant in an MGM property in the future.
Food is wonderful and the view is spectacular
Lobster with corn and peaches was a standout
Wonderful Evening!! We really enjoyed the food and scenery. The patio provided an incredible view.
Always great food and service
The food was fabulous. Their Lobster Risotto was tasty, the bison was incredible and from the tasting menu the Warm duck fragua was out of this world. All of the staff was very helpful and Lawerence made us feel that we made the best dish choices for us. The meal was definitely memorable and delicious beyond words. If you’re a foodie, you will really appreciate the food and dining experience at Rivea.
Our server was beyond amazing with us and the staff was all helpful and attentive! The food was awesome and exquisite- would definitely recommend and go again!
Food & service were exceptional! Beautiful atmosphere - the inside of the restaurant is just as lovely as it’s spectacular views from atop of the Delano Hotel. Small plates served mostly, but also some larger ones, like steak for example. We sampled their Burrata & Heritage Tomato Salad - caprese basically, but with a variety of tomatoes. Also the Marinated Sea Bass - this was very tasty, the citrus juice it’s marinated in actually “cooks” the fish. We also tried the potato gnocchi & the lobster risotto, which was the real highlight. All dishes were small plates, tapas style, but enough for the 2 of us. Finished off with the soufflé.
I may not have seen it listed, but a wine pairing tasting menu with our dishes would have been great.
Our server provided excellent service & made us feel relaxed & un-rushed. An elegant space without the stuffiness.
Definitely take a walk over to the Skyfall lounge for your post dinner cocktails. The patio is amazing! A Delano room key gets you a complimentary champagne toast 7:30-8:30pm every night
Excellent food and service experience. The meal was superb, from the salad and main course to the French wine and tiramisu. Our servers, Lawrence and Jesus were outstanding and made the experience delightful and because of them we will recommend Rivea to others and return again ourselves!
We truly enjoyed our dinner at Rivea. Everyone was very hospitable and pleasant. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend Rivea!
View was amazing. My family loved the experience. We will visit again.
The meal was divine! We did the tasting menu with wine pairings. The appetizers with sangiovese rose were a perfect way a way to start. The crudo was complex and balanced. The lobster risotto wasn't too heavy and every bite had juice chunks of lobster without even trying. The filet was done perfectly. The Dover sole dish was complex in flavor and textures. Ate every bite until dessert and could only get through half of it, buy it wasn't for a lack or trying!
Excellent, friendly service. The view at night over the strip was romantic too!!!
Great service not overly formal. Fantastic city views. Delicious meal
I was thrilled to discover this restaurant whose menu was appealing is an Alain Ducasse restaurant! I am a fan of his from my time in Paris. Best Octapus I ever had in my life (so tender and succulent) and split pea soup was to die for!! Sunset view from 64th floor of Mandalay Bay Hotel where I was later to see Michael Jackson One Cirque de Solei was spectacular. Only down side was a rude waiter. Somehow, he misunderstood my order. In spite of his rudeness, the manager made everything okay, and visited table with a very friendly demeanor. Manager also made order mistake go away. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant! Best meal of a week in Las Vegas!
Great service, great location, right price... will dine here again
We loved! Was our anniversary and everything was amazing
We loved it. The service and the view were excellent!!!😊
Great service. Food was fenomenal.
The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious. Highly recommend the duck. The wait however left me wondering was it worth it. It was, but we waited close to an hour for enteees.
