Positive: Service was great, music was pleasant, food was good, decor was calming. Two negative things: I was given a dirty wine glass and I find the benches way too narrow to sit on, and I am a small person, making it very uncomfortable after a while!!

The food is phenomenal but having 8 different gals visited our table for orders, water (too often), plate clearing, etc caused a lot of confusion for our orders and did not provide a $$$ experience. One waitress was down right snappy and condescending with me as she did not understand how the prior waitress was taking our orders / how we were ordering a la carte. Too bad as the food is wonderful. I often will tip a lot if the service is food is so-so but when the service is awful, it takes away from the food. (p.s. the one gal who seemed like she might be a supervisor did comp our meal but even that was poorly communicated amongst the 7 other girls making that part odd as well).

Outstanding staff super friendly and kind. Lovely atmosphere unlike any other place so warm fun and authentic. The food is incredible! 🤩 some of the best flavours and spices I’ve ever had! Definitely one of my most favourite dining experiences. I highly recommend!

The atmosphere is something special, transports you to a different world from Vancouver. Service was impeccable, every server knew how far along we were in our meal and what to offer us next. Value was amazing for the Chai Feast but we didn’t realise it was all you can eat so came with some food already in our stomach. Would definitely come back with an empty stomach and more people!

Beautiful space. Feels intimate and romantic, even though it's a large space. They had live music, which normally irritates me, being old and curmudgeonly, but it was non-intrusive and conversation could still be had. The food was really tasty, and reasonable value. Service was attentive and professional. I would definitely go back, and wish they'd open a location in North Vancouver

The food was delicious and the ambience was lovely! My only complaint is that the seats are not comfortable and some tables only have benches (no chair back) and we were not given the option to get a table with backs on the chairs... not ideal for middle-aged bodies! Other than that, I would highly recommend!

Exceptional spot! The ambiance is outstanding and the Moroccan interiors is admirable. The staff were all welcoming, Yaashana made our experience fabulous! From her energy to her killer style- made us love this place even more!! the food was perfectly spiced and flavorful. And that infused chai was delicious! Top all with with a good vibe with friends or your date and you’ll have a memorable experience! Will definitely visit next time I’m in Vancouver!

We have been many times and always enjoy the roti roll with soup and salad. Delicious combinations. My faves are the chicken combos!! The music was delightful. A cellist and guitarist duo entertained us throughout our meal. Always happy to return to East is East on West Broadway or Main Street.

If it’s your first time and you’re hungry definitely do the Chai Feast Tasting Menu. My recommendations are: Mystic soup - it’s divinely delicious Curry lamb - amazing Green beans - bursting with flavour Mango butternut squash - must try So many other tasty food & drinks, you really should try them all!

From the moment I walked in I knew we would enjoy our experience here. They've done a great job creating an ambience that makes you feel excited yet relaxed. The service was very attentive and friendly, but also not too in your face. Highly recommend the chai feast so you can try all the amazing curries. We'll be back!
