Great food, wine and service
This location was awesome! I was just considering cancelling my membership due to the recent unpleasant experiences at the Annapolis location. I may jist have to keep it and take the drive to the Ashburn location.
Food was dreadful. After a long wait, we received overcooked, and almost burnt chicken strips for our 10 year old which were barely edible, she ate the fries. My daughter received the wrong order completely. She ordered steak and roasted vegetables, and was given salmon and coleslaw. Due to the very long wait for food, she ate half of the salmon. I ordered polenta with shrimp, which arrived as a gooey mess and did not resemble the menu item I had chosen. Yes, we could have reordered, however having sat for almost an hour, we could not afford that luxury with a hungry 10 years old.
It was very upsetting as my daughter is a wine club member at Coopers Hawk and our experiences are normally good. The wine we chose, and was finally served, was excellent, the Barrel Reserve Cabernet.
We went home after a $95.00 meal and stopped at Whole Foods to pick up snacks to eat.
As a business person I entertain at Coopers Hawk locations, my experiences in other cities, ie Chicago, have been very positive , however it will be a while before I return to the Ashburn location.
Thank you for taking the time to follow up with your customers.
The wait staff at this restaurant are a notch above the rest. Patient, attentive and seem to truly care whether you are satisfied with your food and beverages. This is consistently true over multiple visits. The food is consistently delicious and of high quality and the wines are surprisingly good.
We are members of their wine club and we regularly dine there as well. The food is delicious and we try different dishes each time we go there. The wine club is great as well, having a wide variety of wines for all palates.
This restaurant was outstanding. The food was great and the ambiance was nice as well. The wine list was extensive and you can get two tastings at your table. I was really impressed with the menu selections. There were four of us dining and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waitress was great and did a good job recommending dishes.
Always the best when I come here!!
We had booked for 7:30 and waited 35 minutes for our table. The waiting area was crowded and uncomfortable. I would suggest waiter service for the waiting area. A glass of wine would have made it more bearable.
When we got to our table our server was great and the food was good.
Appetisers were better than the main and the strawberries-were lovely at the end.
My wife and I were on a time crunch because we had to pick up our daughter after dinner. Our waitress was great and made sure she wasted no time and the food was out promptly. Great food very happy and will return!
Food was outstanding. However, very very noisy. Might depend on your seat. We were in a side room with very loud patrons.
Our server was Delmar and he was outstanding, very attentive, made great recommendations and was very engaging.
Too noisy. Uninteresting menu. Too pushy to join wine club.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere!! Would recommend to family and friends!
Great food and great service. We ordered the special and they had just run out, but two servers came over to suggest a different option for the meal. Only downside is the lack of reservations. I tried the morning of around 10 am and they only had 4:45 pm or 8:45 pm.
It was crowded and we had to wait even with a reservation, but not too long. Otherwise everything was good.
Our server, Terry S., was wonderful. She had great recommendations for both wine and the menu. She was very accommodating with one diner's food allergies and ensured the food items ordered were safe for the diner. I was at Cooper's Hawk Winery for my fifth anniversary with my boyfriend - neither of us had been there before but a few friends highly recommended the restaurant and we've been meaning to come to check it out. It was a perfect choice for our celebration and I'm so glad we came.
Great dinner but I had put in the reservation that it was my wife & I's wedding anniversary. I was expecting some sort of bottle of champagne or wine ... just some acknowledgement of the occasion. That was the entire reason why I picked there to begin with. Maybe I should have reminded my waiter but it never crossed my mind at that moment in time. Oh well, still a great place for food & wine. Their wine selection is unreal! One of the many reasons why we are Club Members there.
My wife and I go to Cooper’s hawk at least once a month. Tonight we invited my sister and brother in law. Service was very good but 3 of the 4 meals came to the table freezing cold. They took the food back and replaced it. Everything from then on was good. However we were extremely disappointed that nothing from apps to dinner to dessert was taken off the bill. We will definitely go back but again very disappointed that we were not taken care of
Love this place, but to be honest I’m getting tired of having a reservation and still having to wait 15-30 minutes for my table.
My wife and I decided we shouldn’t come back as mush, just because waiting in a crowded corner for my reservation ruins the fun. To bad- this is one of our favorite places outside the wait.
This place is great. Heads and shoulders above the Reston location.
Great wine and beer. The food was outstanding. The food prices are on higher side but not overly priced. Worth a visit.
I thought for the price it would have been better. Service was ok I think she had too many tables not very friendly. Noise level too much for that kind of setting that is what you have a bar area for. Should play music in dinning area not what you have in bar. Was there for our anniversary which we mentioned when we made the reservation. Why ask if it doesn't matter? I dont think will go back for dinner. Maybe lunch on patio. Overall not sure if we would go back.
Scores out as just fair. Menu was too ambitious, with so much on the menu it would be hard to execute all of it well. The food was all just fine. Not bad, but not memorable.
My favorite restaurant. The brussels sprouts appetizer is to die for. Half of my meal came home with me and was still almost as good the next day.
Anniversary dinner. Ordered the pistachio-crusted grouper. Plate comes out with a paper thin, watery, undercooked grouper filet. Visually unappetizing brown blob. Had to return this in exchange for another dish. And wait. Compensation offered? None.
Always a great experience with very friendly wait staff.
I was actually very surprised at my experience at Cooper's Hawk on 10/26/18. I have been there with girlfriends before and have had a good experience in the restaurant. However that was not the case at my last visit in the tasting room. My boyfriend and I made reservations for 8:30 pm. We went to the tasting bar to have a drink while waiting on our table. The attendant was very lively and helpful to the group of people that were standing there already. We waited patiently and looked at the menu and thought we would get the same service. But to our surprise we were ignored by him. Another couple walked up next to us and they were greeted immediately by the attendant. At this point it felt very awkward and the even a gentleman who was standing at the bar when we arrived turned to me and asked if we were going to try the tasting menu. We were the only African-American couple at the bar. I certainly hoped this was not the reason we were ignored by the attendant and would hope that this restaurant would have employees that discriminate against their customers. But unfortunately this was clearly the case.
Food was good however service was poor, bottle of wine we ordered arrive after first plate, failure to remove empty tasting glassses then they bring entree before removing salad plates overall service very poor
Did not realize this was a chain when I made the reservation, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything about the restaurant. Great food and atmosphere; wine was only ok but reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.
All was terrific
Excellent waiter and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We have loved everything wr’ve Had here. Favorites : brussel sprouts (just trust me), their flatbread, gnocchi (butternut squash and/or short rib). S’mores budino. So yummy!
Always a great choice. Perfect for dinner and wine with friends
Food great as always. Timing of appetizers and dinner coming out was extremely short. Wine of month was out. Felt like I was ignored at the wine counter when we first got there.
Food and wine were phenomenal, such a fun atmosphere! Would definitely go back again and again
Love coming here, food is always excellent and the service is very good.
The food is great. The wine is awesome. The wait is long tho' so make a reservation. This is one of my favorite restaurants. The ahi tuna appetizers are my favorites. The pork belly is delicious too. There isn't anything on there that's not good.
Cooper's Hawk never fails to disappoint. Great food, wine and staff. Highly recommend!
Made a reservation for this very popular
restaurant to celebrate son-in-law’s birthday, and to welcome back a son from his tour in Afghanistan. The wait staff was excellent but it was a very busy, noisy Friday evening. Food was good but my filet mignon medallions were disappointing. Guests that had burgers were very pleased.
