   They weren't fully open and ready for patrons when we came for our reservation. Despite it being nearly empty, they eventually sat us in an awkward and cramped corner. It then took 15+ minutes for a waiter to come and take our order. The food was pretty good, but I would not go back given the poor service. We were also there for restaurant week, so the pricing seemed reasonable. The normal menu prices seem over-priced for what you get.

   My husband and I went for Restaurant week and it was the most amazing experience. The food was outstanding and the service was of the top level. Roberto took amazing care of us. We plan to make this our place to go to. It was amazing can not even bring words to describe.

   Went here during restaura week and between my husband and I we tried lots of dishes and loved it! We had the roasted sunchokes with marcona almonds, whipped feta, mushroom caponata, clam linguine and duck breast all superb! Paired with 1st cru Burgundian Pinot noir which paired lovely with the sunchokes, caponata, duck and ok with the linguine.

    We happened to be in the neighborhood and needed a place to eat. Amali exceeded all expectations. We LOVED everything we ordered. The arugula salad with salmon, the ancient grains salad, the burrata, the broccoli (who would have guessed) -- all fabulous. The outdoor area was great and the waitstaff was attentive. I rarely cross the park to eat and now, I have to go back. An absolute find!

    I have eaten here about 4 times in the last 2-3 months. Food is amazing. Lots of fresh and interesting options here without the menu being too esoteric or large. Don’t miss out on the mushroom caponata, burrata w mint and peas, mezze assortment, sunchokes, etc. Can’t go wrong with almost anything on the menu. We always seem to over order here. Interior is chic but casual Greek vintage vibe. It can get a bit loud when busy. However, I much prefer sitting indoors than on 60th st bc it’s not the most charming block (they could probably add more plants to the outdoor, overhead fans and low lighting would help) but we still had a fine dinner outside last night. I love the Greek wine selection- our server recommended a really nice dry Greek white- a fun departure from the run of the mill summer options of rose or Ca/Italian/French whites. A much-needed unique and delicious newcomer to the UES.

    We had a fabulous meal consisting of several shared appetizers and sides. Everything was top notch. Our waiter couldn’t have been nicer. We ate outside so I can’t comment on indoor ambiance or noise. It’s pricey but the food met expectations at Those prices. Note that 18% tip is included on every bill- and the menu explains their philosophy on that.

    We chose this restaurant because the outside seating is suppose to be lovely. The back courtyard was booked by a private party so we were seated on the street. I would not have chosen this restaurant for a special occasion if I knew we would be seated on the street. In hindsight, I should have called to confirm the outside seating but I saw no references to seating on the street when I checked it out online. The food was ok, but not worth the price. The server was very good, but we were short an entree. We didn't mention it because we decided to make do and two people shared it. I'm sure if we asked for another entree it would have come quickly. I think it was a communication error, but that shouldn't happen, not at this price point.

    The BEST branzino ever! We shared the branzino and two sides and could have added a third person. Yummy dinner. Service was a bit slow but that the restaurant was very busy! Lively spot and great bartender!

    WAY overpriced, and therefore would not recommend. Yes the service was attentive and my pasta entree was tasty, but the prices are extremely high considering the plates are basic pasta and seafood entrees. There's nothing special about this place or their menu to warrant such high prices. It's very small and cramped inside, the scent of cigarettes wafting in from outside and there was a crying baby next to us. I just can't get over a plate of 6 (average) raviolis costing over $30+. This place is totally average but is priced as if it's something special.

    Service was very good. Food was just OK. Duck was tasty and well prepared. Scallops were overly salty. Sunchoke and Ancient Grains appetizers were good but nothing special. Somewhat overpriced for the experience we had.

    Unbelievable dining experience. The food was incredible. We had the rib eye cooked to perfection as well as the duck sausage pasta. Both are sure to impress. Lovely, quiet ambiance and impeccable service. It was the perfect place to kick off our trip to Manhattan but of course, raised the expectations for the rest of it.     We planned to go out for lunch/brunch/dinner, you name is it was our first meal @3pm Saturday haha. I did not have the energy to go and wait in lines and queues for any place. So i used open table to find something with good reviews “regardless of the cuisine”. I saw Amali and the reviews were good and a cuisine that we actually love. So we thought why not? We went it was quite and very clean and the place is tidy. We ordered the Mixed Mezze platter was was spectacular .. and we ordered the shakshouka, and burger. Honestly it was better than our expectations especially as a last minute plan! Definitely going back there

    I booked a last minute dinner for 11 and we were pleasantly surprised with spacious seating in the back area that has a skylight and high ceilings. It was classy, cosy and gorgeous! My friends all loved the food too, especially the rib eye bone marrow and all the three pastas we ordered. The service was also top notch and they were attentive and kind! We would all love to be back here again! Thank you for a wonderful night!
