    Food was outstanding: hummus, sea scallops, pasta special with grated truffles was exquisite. Cheese cake and raspberry pistachio meringue desserts were delicious too. Portions were just right. Staff was very good.

    Tried so many menu items and they were all great. Mezze sampler highly recommend. Only thing I’d pass on again are the oysters. They were good but not as great as everything else. Quaint place, good vibe, good service as well

    Great food and service. 18% “administrative fee” added to bill was confusing. Is this the tip? The visa receipt still left a space for “tip” to be added. These fees and >20% tip expectations are ruining the dining out experience.

    Amalie is always good. We eat outside where they have a small heater and only two tables. Octopus was excellent as was the whipped feta appetizer. Very enjoyable in every way.

    The good: Wonderful food and service. Generous portions beautifully seasoned and prepared. A very interesting wine list. A comfy and charming ambiance. The not so good: Exceedingly loud. Enough to affect the enjoyment of our dinner. Younger diners don’t seem to mind the cacophony, but at our table, we had trouble hearing each other.

    We ordered the Lunch Prix Fixe which allowed us to try the Spicy Feta, the soup of the day, the Chicken Caesar Salad and the Tagliatelle - AMAZING. Everything was DELICIOUS. Even the bread on the table was special. Our service was excellent. We will be back here for lunch the next time we come into the city for shopping. I loved everything about this restaurant and am so happy we found it.

    The food was mediocre; the cavatelli I ordered had a very basic taste of the creamy-tomato sauce with very limited amount of shrimp and calamari in it. Pasta itself was ok: al dente but nothing special. The muscles appetizer was somewhat too greasy, it looked like they needed to add more butter to counterbalance the dryness of the breadcrumbs. I'd rather see clams roasted with herbs and no breadcrumbs at all. It was also too loud in the restaurant (hello, acoustic panels?!) and at the end, the server charged us for a bottle of Pinot Blanc instead of one glass I had with dinner. We addressed it and adjusted the bill, but it is a rather sloppy service for the prices that the restaurant charges.

    I really wanted to like this restaurant, but my first time wasn't great. I told the waiter about my severe nut/peanut allergy, and when I asked if he had oat milk for an iced Americano, he suggested almond milk… In addition, I asked to substitute the bread on my dish for GF bread (I have a chronic digestive disease and need to eat GF) My dish came with regular bread. It just seemed like they didn't care. Food was mediocre (my soft scramble was really wet) and not worth the price.

    The food was delicious, the ambiance modern but warm, and service friendly and professional. I especially loved the tomato fava starter and Spanish octopus! We were 3 generations dining together and we all would return separately.

    This diner incorrectly thought that Amali was offering a Restaurant Week menu - while we have not offered a summertime Restaurant Week menu in years, a downtown restaurant with a similar name, Amelie, is currently offering one. Richard, I suspect that this is the cause of your mixup. While I am sorry for the mixup as I'm sure it caused disappointment, I do not appreciate the characterization of "arrogant".

    Hosted a lovely lunch here following our annual staff meeting, for 7 guests. Amali was kind enough to offer pre-selected wines and dessert items (to eliminate unnecessary back and forth during the lunch itself), and the food as always, was delicious.

    We loved having dinner here - I booked it because they have live music on Sunday’s and it was so good! The trio of musicians — guitar, violin, upright — played contemporary (Harry styles???) and also jazz classics and were very talented and entertaining. food and drink was excellent too. Good sized portions for the price
