A welcoming contemporary restaurant with a touch of rustic charm, State Street Provisions is today’s answer to the taverns that once offered respite to the fishermen and tradesmen who worked in Boston’s bustling Long Wharf. Historically inspired but forward thinking food and drink menus feature fresh ingredients from near and far, while the comfortable space meets the needs and passing fancies of residents, workers and visitors alike. State Street Provisions is located at the intersection of State Street and Atlantic Avenue on Long Wharf, one of Boston’s most storied landmarks. Breaking ground in 1710, the Wharf was a vibrant hub for the Colonial U.S. shipping industry and originally extended nearly half a mile from the shoreline at Faneuil Hall.

    Easy to get a reservation just a few days ahead for a Saturday night, even though the restaurant was hopping that night. Nice table by the window. Great food and service. Not too loud. Terrific location for meeting friends who were staying at the Marriott Long Wharf.

    The service was excellent, and the food was great as well! Great locations and lots of fun! We were celebrating my friend’s birthday and they brought a special piece of cake for her!!

    Excellent food and acceptance rivalling Legal Seafood. Lobster roll and mussels were so deeply flavorful, right size portions, and full of creative ingredients few restaurants would ever consider. Staff were very attentive, Katherine and Antonio especially. We would not hesitate to go again.

    Delicious lobster roll, and I liked the option of half salad and half French fries with it. Perfect lunch on a beautiful day outside!
