   My first time here. The food was amazing. Had a wonderful table off to a corner and the service was outstanding. We ended up get the platter with all the entres as we didn’t quite know what to order. The platter says it feeds 6. Their were 4 of us and we took home 4 full meals. The beer was also amazing. Parking is a snap with the garage directly across the street. If you like German food and beer, you simply must try this place.

   We decided to enjoy some German food for a change. We walked 3 blocks in 20 degree weather to get there. Be prepared to climb several sets of stairs to reach the restaurant. We were seated right away, but were wondering why they sat us out in the colder closed in patio, when there seemed to be room in the main dining hall. Our waiter was excellent and gave us great service and detailed explanations on the menu. We had the large pretzel and decided on one of the many German main dishes. It was a breaded pork filet cooked to perfection. We finished off with German chocolate cake Overall our experience was alright, the waiter did his best, but between watching the bar and taking care of tables, he was stretched thin.

   Restaurant was very quiet. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated quickly. The server was very pleasant and attentive. Large pretzel and wurstplat as appetizers were quite good. Both had jaegerschnitel. A sizable portion that was delicious. A very pleasant time

   This is our go-to restaurant during the Tradeshows we attend. Everyone crowds up at the Mart and for the most part leave the restaurants on this street alone. Here is authentic German food and draft beers hard to get anywhere else. If you love German food, it is a must visit.

   We’re new to Atlanta & were looking for a German restaurant. It was a weeknight so we were the only people there. They have a nice outside area too. We ordered the giant pretzel & a meat and cheese plate. Both were awesome. But I was way too full to eat dinner. My husband and I both order the brat in a bun. It came with sauerkraut & German potato salad. The brat was the best I’ve ever had. Very little salt. It is bland on its own. But with the sauerkraut it was delicious. I don’t know very much about German food. My husband said it’s authentic.

    We’ve debated coming here for the past couple years since moving from Germany to Georgia. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I ordered what in my opionion is the toughest dish to replicate, sauerbraten. It was well done and the gravy was pretty good; often times it can either be way to sweet or too much vinegar. The only suggestion I would have is to slice the meat into thinner slices so you have more gravy evenly distributed over the meat. I also would take the French fries off that plate; kind of bummed no dumplings were to be found on the menu at all! The portion was huge and price was good as were all of our selections. Beer selection was pretty good as well. We will be back when back in town for sure.

    We had a great friends and family Veterans Day and Marine Corps birthday party at the restaurant! The shuffleboard and foosball tables were hit. The beer was fantastic as was the food. The generosity of these staff was amazing in that our Veterans Day dinner was comped which was above and beyond our expectation for a fabulous night! We would definitely come here again!

    We ate here on a Saturday evening before a concert. They were not too crowded and were very accommodating at our wish to sit outside versus inside where our table had been reserved. My MIL is German so I know when it's authentic and they delivered. The only negative comment for the food was that the red cabbage was a little heavy on the vinegar...I just prefer mine a little sweeter. Our waiter was friendly but seemed to be doing several things besides waiting. He seemed to be one of the bartenders as well. Our food didn't take too long to come out but he was not attentive during the rest of our time there. Overall, it was a great meal and I would go back again.

    Great place to hang out and grab a bite. Call ahead or use reservation, we were turned away three first time we tried to eat here. They had a private party, and didn't mention it when I called during the day to find out what time they opened.

    Big selection of German beer. Authentic menu - big portions. Can't beat the atmosphere. Started with a giant warm bavarian pretzel, then had the rotisserie pork shank, red cabbage and spaetzle. Definitely will go back when visiting Atlanta again.

    Fantastic!! I was so excited to see a German restaurant when I got to Atlanta of all places. I spent a week or so in Munich, Germany and the food here and of course the beer selections were spot on - a little Munich in Atlanta. Going back for a meeting next June and will be bringing as many of my colleagues with me as I can!!

    The food is ok but not so good as in Bavaria.They don't prepare it the real bavarian way...the Sauerkraut has a totally different taste..the Käsespätzle too...I expected bavarian ambiance but only the menu had a bavarian appearance...

    Solid German food for really good prices! German music playing the whole time and murals give an ultimate German feel. We had a group of 10 and we're easily accommodated.

    Food was definitely a disappointment. We had the big sampler platter with almost everything on the menu, and nothing was great. The side dishes (saurkraut, braised red cabbage, and spaten) were the best things were ate. That said, if you are looking for a place to drink and nibble, I would recommend. Just not if you are looking for good German food.

    Great German style outdoor beer hall and inside restaurant. Beer selection very good and menu items authentic. Everyone's food selections were very good! Visiting from out of town to attend convention. Vistied Der Biergarten three times in one week! Once by ourselves and then two other times taking a number of friends with us.     We had a reservation for 8 people. Arrived on time and were seated. The food is very good -very German. The only down side was the noise level. It is very loud. This was between 6:15 and 8 PM on a Monday night.

    Dined at Lunch with my cousin. Her meal was the Wiener Schnitzel, and she enjoyed it, as well as the potato salad that accompanied it. My meal, on the other hand was very disappointing. I ordered the Schweineshaxe, a German specialty. It is supposed to be a slow-grilled Pork Shank. What was delivered was deep-fried. I ate it anyway, which turned out to be a great mistake. I suspect that the meat must have been beyond its use-by date, because within 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant I wound up in the bathroom, not once, but three times (I believe you'll understand the reason). Perhaps the oil they fried it in may have been the culprit, but regardless, I should not have spent the rest of my afternoon combating my meal. In other words, let the Diner beware!

    We ate inside for a quieter experience. If you want the beer garden experience eat outside. Food okay but not as good as I had hoped. Service was very good. Over all fine but I likely would not go back.
