Honesty, this was our emergency restaurant after we arrived in Greenwich and found that CrabCraft was closed for a special event. The waiter we had was decent enough but was not as friendly as I would think for the area this establishment was centered in. I would only rate the service as fair at best but would not go as far as poor. My wife was really looking for lobster rolls for lunch and our server kind of seemed put off that is what we wanted. We will never be in the area again but would not have this as a "must do" return location.

Went on a Saturday night and made a last minute reservation. Certain elements of dishes ordered were below par. We ordered the crabmeat and guacamole stack and there was literally no crab meat in it. The appetizer was expensive but missing the mentioned main ingredient. Our dinners were fair and service was OK.

Soft shell crabs and Paella were very good. Seafood was ultra fresh. staff was friendly and attentive, and happy hour specials were special indeed. Come hungry!

Ate here on a beautiful Wednesday evening and sat outside on the sidewalk (quieter than inside which can be a little noisy if packed). Recommend the fried oysters! They are the best I have ever had! I also had the Asian Salad which I enjoy. My friend had the Salmon which she said was delicious. Of course, the oysters here are terrific- with a great variety offered. I love coming to Elm Street Oyster House>

The food was amazing. Sat outside and it was perfect. Waiter gave us a higher priced wine when the lower priced bottle we ordered was unavailable. Gave us the same price as the lower priced bottled. Excellent customer service!!

There is a lot going on in the food offerings at Elm Street Oyster House. However, there seems to be something for everyone. We had the crab and guacamole appetiser which was delicious. I then had the shrimp and grits which was very rich and tasty. My partner was disappointed by the lobster roll, however. It is a small dining room so on a Friday night, it was rather loud. Decor was inviting, service was very good.

Love the food and the atmosphere. However, some things are a bit overpriced especially for the amount of food and quality. For example, the warm lobster roll. There’s not an abundance of lobster. And the accompaniment’s are also sparse and the french fries are less than spectacular but I still love it.

Outside brunch dining was great. There were blockades on the sidewalk so you felt safe with cars passing by. The oysters are terrific and the cocktail choice was good. Service was good. Definitely a return visit for this place.

The food is always excellent, fresh, well prepared, attractively served. Good range of choices. The noise is a problem. There are no baffles on the ceiling which amplifies the din. Because of that diners tend to speak more loudly to be heard at their tables and this creates a circularity of sound I found annoying.

Food was tasty. But I ordered the Paella. I know how to make it and have had the pleasure of having it in Spain, France and NYC. There is no mention on the menu that they add cheese to it and I have yet to see a standard Paella with cheese. So one would assume when you order Paella - there would be no cheese. BUT these guys do. It’s tasty, but if you are trying to stay away from dairy - do don’t realize it until a few bites in. Milk and Dairy should be noted if they are included in a dish that normally does not contain dairy. In addition my wife’s tacos were too greasy to actually pick up The crab/avocado was delicious as were the cocktails. We were disappointed in this restaurant.

Seafood preparation is usually excellent. However, our swordfish piccata was underwhelming. One expects a sear and a butter sauce laden with capers. Neither of those things happened.

Amazing experience on all levels! A Greenwich Gem! We started with a bottle of bubbles (prosecco), the Pan Fried Oysters, and the Crab Meat & Guacamole Stack. Both arrived quickly, thanks to our amazing waiter, and were delicious. The oysters had a light crust and were paired with a thyme butter that complemented rather than overpowered the creamy brine of the oyster. The crab and Guacamole was fresh and light! I had the crab stuffed flounder special accompanied by sauteed bok choy.. absolutely delicious. My fiance had the Not Your Typical Paella. The portion was quite generous, and the flavor was amazing, with a lot of delicious seafood. The only slight challenge was that the lobster was served in the shell, which made it tricky to eat without making a mess. Overall a fabulous dining experience and a definite return in the future.
