Great place for a business lunch. Quality food and service and an ambiance conducive to having a private business conversation
New York steak was terrific and cooked to perfection, however the smallest size was a 10 oz. which is a little too large for me.
Waiter was friendly and timing of service excellent.
I found it a bit over priced for the level of food prepared.
We were very disappointed in the whole experience. Both the escargot and lamb were tasteless (and who puts fried onion strings on $45 rack of lamb??) Despite having an extensive wine list, there were only 4 obscure reds to choose from by the glass and everything was terribly overpriced. To top it off, though we asked for a seat that wasn’t in the cold air conditioning draft we were seated directly under a vent. There wasn’t really any spot in the place to be unaffected so we did not move and unfortunately our server made no offer to turn the blasting cold down a notch. This was our one and only visit to this eatery.
This is a traditional steakhouse and the kitchen knows how to serve up the classics. Service and presentation were excellent. The decor isn’t exciting but that doesn’t negatively impact the experience when the food is this good.

Food was pretty good, but the server didn’t get it. Didn’t appreciate any of the dynamic of the dinner conversation - was catching up with my Uncle after 5 years. Dinner was rushed, asked if we wanted their famous bread, but didn’t tell us it wasn’t included with the meal and charged us two portions. I doubt I’ll go back, in this case the front of house let down the kitchen big time.
The food was great and the service was great but when we asked for dessert we were expecting something better than a regular grocery store cake Which was very disappointing I think they should work on their dessert rest is all good
We were there on Saturday night June 8th. It was loud because there was someone moving tables around upstairs for a group coming in. We were told he was dragging them because he was alone. How about someone go help him? For the price we paid, the meal was ok, we had a NY steak in green pepper sauce. Not best cut of meat for $60. I had a shrimp cocktail for $34 with huge shrimps but only 3. $11 bucks a shrimp is a bit high. I had chicken which was cooked well, but very small and $25. Side things like veggies cost extra and given the ambiance, quality of food it did not meet the prices. Service did meet the standards for a top restaurant, and service matters to me. But still the food must reach the same standards in my opinion and it did not.
The ribeye is very very good, I can see why it's the "Bardi Special". The sides were a beautiful accompaniment; especially the brussels spouts -- delicious!
Classic steakhouse with proper ambience and great food. Relaxed and enjoyable with impeccable service. Great conversation with Chris and a tour of the restaurant. We will definitely be back and would love to bring friends here for a great evening.

Haven’t been back to Bardi’s in over 10 years and I’m glad I went back. Great food, great steak. Place has not changed a bit.

Not the fault of Bardi’s but there was a table of very foul mouthed guests that could be heard from the back room. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare as ordered but vey, very salty for my taste.

Decor is tired but I would forgive that if service was great ( or even good) and good special. Food was ok, average not great and the waiter was disinterested, abrupt and not overly available. I was seated upstairs and my guest arrived two minutes later and was kept waiting downstairs for ten minutes. Not until he texted me to let me know he was waiting did we get it sorted.
Was an overall positive experience. Dinner was during the week so it was confined to the ground level, which had a table that was having a loud conversation. The food was very good (especially the steak). I would come there again and hope for a quieter environment.
Excellent service but very ordinary steak for the price
Overpriced and under served....our waiter appeared like he could not have cared less about us or our food....we had to ask him for everything and his demeanor was " don't bother me I'm busy"....which he wasn't . He dropped the payment machine in front of us and then walked away.....he was way past his due date....
The food was just …."ok" and certainly not justifying the price....my Chardonnay ( house white) was served lukewarm and was terrible. Our plates were not hot nor even warm.....
The noise level was such that we couldn't carry on a proper conversation without yelling at each other....
I used to frequent the place in the 90's and early 2000's...….its is a shadow of its former glory self ….needs a serious reboot

This is the most ridiculously overpriced restaurant I have been to in years (and I live in NYC). To charge $85 for a filet mignon that I would say was no better than average is tantamount to highway robbery.
Food: steak very very dry and salty, so is the vegetables. Appetizers greatly overpriced. Shrimp cocktail dish comes with 3 pieces of shrimp with very simply sauces costs $34.
Service: Worse than average. No water refill. Asked for ketchup and was given a whole bottle to pour out myself. Feels like fast food service.
overall such a bad experience. Not worth the $$$$.
I’m sorry to say that Bardi’s has become old & tired. Just not in tune with today’s dining experiences.
Took our family here to expose the children (11 and 14) to finer dining but was disappointed. Awarding winning ribs were mediocre. We made reservations and were still sat at a booth by the outside door and the booth was uncomfortable and tight. If we wanted a restaurant with poorly maintained booths we would have gone to Eastsides. Service was ok, although, after the food order was given and the waiter walked away and we had to ask him to come back so we could ask for drinks. For a steak house, we had asked for 2 med-well steaks and got one well done and the other was rare. Calamari was rubbery. The manager or owner stood at the bar the whole time and talked on the phone which would have been a little more tolerable if there was music to listen to instead of his conversation.
First time to the restaurant. Everyone working there is very friendly. Prompt and quick service. The food was excellent - we of course had the steak! My only improvement comment would be that it’s time for a decor upgrade (peeling paint, cheesy artwork).
Visiting TO from Ottawa and staying at Royal York so very convenient location . One of the best steaks ever! Very efficient service. Will go back next time in TO.
Great service and great food. Extensive wine list, but not a lot of choices by the glass. Portions were decent.

Food was great. But, it is a STEAKHOUSE, why is ribeye not on the menu? Also wine list severely overpriced. Red Zinfandel starting at $150 is not reasonable, it’s a $10 bottle of wine... very few wine options for a low key night.
Always a pleasure dining at Bardis. Steeped in tradition, service is top notch and steaks are some of the best. Come here for the ambiance, food and service and you won’t be disappointed.
