So far it is the best Indian experience in DC. Same owners of Rasika but more relax. Service is great. Flavors are as good as Rasika. Highly recommended. Definitely will be back.
Incredible selection. Impeccable service. Wonderful experience
Always an amazing time. Bombay Club delivers each and every time. My absolute fave place in DC
Expectations were very high going in given the reputation. Service was great and the ambiance was rich with high end décor which was a fresh change from your typical Indian restaurant so I couldn’t wait to experience it. However, the food was a whole different story. I was able to try a wide variety of creatively prepared appetizers and entrees but got more confused as each dish came out. I can see the chef is attempting to use complimenting spices which I’ve seen be successful but the execution on that day was poor. Dishes lacked texture and body which don't allow the spices to infuse into the robust flavors you would expect. No Wow factor. Outside of the seekh kebab which was magnificent everything else was not. Now, I have eaten at many of the finest Indian restaurants around the world including every Indian Michelin star restaurant so I have a good comparison. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy my experience at Bombay Club because of the atmosphere and service and food was fine. I may return in the future to give it another try in hopes it was just the chef's off night or something but just know there are other great options in DC area such as Rasika!!
Great Food. Quality was outstanding. Great Ambiance
Excellent Indian food. Eclectic menu and dishes you won't find in too many other places. All superb. A bit pricey but worth it.
We go for the food. Always good
Amazing service in a very nice setting. All of the food was very tasty.
Great experience overall! The service and food were excellent!
Long time customer. Just as good as I remembered. Very upscale atmosphere, service and excellent food.
As usual, the food was excellent, the service perfect and the atmosphere inviting!
This is my favorite DC restaurant. The location is convenient and the food is fantastic.
Food was excellent, service on point, and the decor and piano create a perfect ambiance for a romantic dinner.
We have an excellent dinner. The service was solid. Food quality was marvelous. The atmosphere was comfortable and the building had great energy. This was our second visit! Overall, a great place to have dinner.
We enjoyed our first dining experience and we will definitely dine at Bombay Club again in the near future!
Some dishes were excellent (butternut squash samosa) while some dishes were very disappointing (the lobster and shrimp based dishes were salty). Service was attentive, if rushed. Main dining area is nice but side dining area felt like the “children’s dining room” and was cramped. Generally disappointing for a renowned restaurant. Rasika is a superior choice for cuisine and atmosphere.
Excellent food! We enjoyed a lot. Thank you very much.
Outstanding ambiance, wait staff, menu and the food was “five star”. Without a doubt, the best Indian cuisine I have ever had.
We love Bombay Club and have been coming here regularly
We ordered the thalis and as expected, Katori items were excellent- lemon rice was an oddity and did not pair well with the rest of the thali
The service was slow at every step of the way and I’ve never had to flag down a waiter so often. No one seemed to be in charge of the dining room. I’m sorry to say this as the food was delicious but I am reluctant to recommend and not sure that I’ll return.
I like this place. Service is stubbornly iffy. Food this good should be matched with agreeable service.
This is owned by the same restaurant group that owns Rasika. It offers the same quality and deliciousness, but in a slightly more formal and traditional setting. The restaurant itself is very beautiful - spacious but somehow still cozy, and the service is excellent. We loved our meal and look forward to returning.
I’d been there before in the evenings and enjoyed the food, so I decided to try lunch. The food temperature was uneven—room temp and slightly warm—and the rice was piping hot. As I had limited time, I decided to heat the lukewarm food by mixing it with the rice. Kind of disgusted overall as a result. Servers changed midstream and was slow.
Loved the food. Service was great, drinks were amazing. We will definitely go there again for special occasions.
Simply wonderful. The food was delicious- I highly recommend the Bombay Thali, it’s an excellent mixture of vegetarian dishes.
The chai is also fantastic. Attentive service and friendly.
This was the perfect place for an elegant but not pretentious dinner—reasonable prices for the location and format. Impeccable service. Absolutely beautiful space with a pianist quietly playing. For our college student daughter, it was an oasis of heaven.
We are from Seattle and heard good things about Bombay Club. Wow, they did not disappoint. The sauces were exceptional, but the kicker was that the meat, fish, and vegetables were perfectly cooked. Too often, this cuisine focuses on the sauce and the underlying main dish is overcooked or underprepared. Here, you could remove the sauce and the main dishes would stand on their own as excellent. The rice and the veggies were perfect. The wine selection was nice. Together, it's one of the best meals I've had. The service was top notch, and a piano was playing in the background. An excellent experience.
We had a wonderful experience at Bombay Club. The food was excellent. It was our first time having Indian cuisine. Our server, who was very pleasant, did a great job guiding us to enjoyable choices. We will be back to Bombay Club when we return to DC.
We were thrilled with the depth of flavor in our three vegetarian dishes. I've been to India, yet nothing equaled what I ate at Bombay Club. I can't wait to return to try more culinary adventures. Service was absolute professional with a warm welcoming environment.
The food is really good and appears to be Korean (to non Korean customers at least). Really excellent, but be careful because it can be very spicy
Solid meal. Excellent service, highly appropriate for a business event. You may want to ask to reduce the amount of salt used in preparation of your meal.
One of the best dining experiences I've had. Great atmosphere, service and the meal was incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Bombay Club is always a must when we are in DC. Great Indian cuisine, friendly & efficient service, beautiful restaurant....We had scallops, naan, Duck, Chicken & a wonderful Sancerre wine...
Always good food and great service in a refined dining room with piano playing
Bombay Club is a go to spot in DC for a business/power lunch. The location is across from the White House so you never know who you will run into there. The food is very flavorful in this white tablecloth restaurant, only to be outdone by the top notch service. Overall, it is a must if you are visiting DC.
We hadn't been back in awhile and were very pleasantly surprised! Dishes we had (lamb and chicken) were well seasoned with just the right amount of spice! The Kale appetizer is amazing!
An exceptional experience each and every time. My favorite of this restaurant group. Be transported.....to a delicious destination.
