Our two-story fish emporium elevates the 40-year legacy of our original location in Chestnut Hill (a few doors down from where we are now). Here we feature a large raw bar, open kitchen and glass-enclosed lounge. In warmer months, we retract the lounge’s glass walls and ceiling for drinking under the sun or stars. And we open our patio, overlooking Hammond Pond, for al fresco dining. Join us upstairs at our restaurant or shop our fish market on the first floor.

    I enjoy the food and service my only critique was Chestnut Hill was so much attractive and relaxing than the Framingham Legal. Please consider a renovation for the Framingham restaurant.

    Totally disappointing. We were seated at a table with no placesettings or silverware even though all of the tables aound us had them. It was later in the evening so not many people there but it took forever to get a glass of water and then it was not refilled. Finally had a waitress come by who took or order. Brought apps but did not notice we had not placesettings so we got up and grabbed them from another table. Clam chowder was fantastic. Fried calamari was pathetic. Dinner was mediocre. Would not recommend this location and overall it sucked at $120 for 2

    This is a spectacular location however, walking past a half a dozen tables that hadn’t been cleared showed a deficit of service. The restaurant was almost completely empty however they sat us next to a spot where half a dozen employees were waiting for food to be prepared and just chatting. It was loud.

I apologize for the lack of busing and the servers standing around chit-chatting rather than helping to maintain the area.     Ironically the quality of the food at Legals is increasingly variable. The broccoli side was terrible. Tuna okay but fried clams were good. For the price we are probably not coming back.

    The food quality is very mediocre now at Legal seafood Dry bland Caesar salad. Scallops with curry vegetables, not very much flavor. Basic food now and very bland. Service is fine atmosphere is fine But it’s not worth the price for the food that you get

    Thrilled to see soooo many gluten free options for dinners not expected to be: fish & chips?!! Awesome. So many choices. Portions are generous and a number of sides to pick with your 2 choices offered with most entrees. Our table of 5 with a wide variety of food preferences, portion ideals, and expectations were all pleasantly satisfied. We left happy and full!

    We really enjoy eating at legal but our last experience was bad. Our server complained several times about being busy. He didn’t bring us water until one hour into our meal, he forgot our rolls, and brought our second round of drinks after our entrees had been cleared. I feel badly he couldn’t do his job when there seemed to be a lot of servers moving around.

    Our server was excellent. My salad wasn’t quite as well executed as it was the last time I was there a week ago. Other diners were happy with their food but no one was ecstatic. It was hard to hear my dining companions at times over the noise. The bathroom does not match the price point of the restaurant.
