In a NYC market where consistency is key. It is Molyvos that shines! I have dined here a few times now and every, single, time it is just so fantastic. Greeted by a charming Maître D, attentive and friendly waitstaff. Superb fresh food. Elegant cozy dining room. It is the pinnacle of excellence when dining out. I am so happy this place exists and will continue to join them as often as possible.

Our first time here but it won’t be the last. It’s a nice, upscale Greek restaurant with an attractive decor. My only knock is that the wine list—which is extensive—has only Greek wines. Not that that is at all strange, being a Greek restaurant, but while I am a big fan of Greek food, their wines don’t live up to the food.

This has been our favorite restaurant in the last 2 decades. We almost always go there when we visit NYC from Boston. It was our first visit to its new location. The interior design is a little too modern to our taste as compared to its original location on the 7th Ave we loved so much. But the food remains outstanding and service was excellent.

Warm, inviting restaurant! Grilled Octopus and Spanakopita starters were excellent! Lamb Shank and Moussaka perfectly prepared, seasoned and presented. Host and wait staff were welcoming, warm and attentive. Great, dining experience for the 1st night of my New York visit. Will return for another fine meal!

This place never disappoints. Food was great, drinks were great, wine was great. I really enjoyed the fish of the day, a very delicately cooked piece of striped bass. Amazing. Can't say enough and can't wait to get back there again.

For my money Molyvos is simply the best restaurant by far in the theater district, and indeed for all of Mid-Town West (with the possible except of Jean-Georges). This is one of those restaurants where EVERYTHING is right, the staff, the food, the ambience, the noise level. I had a tuna tartare that was the best I ever had, and a white fish (I forget the name) filleted on a bed of gnocchi and a yogurt and strawberry dessert, all topped of with two glasses of a delicious white Greek wine (I forget which one but it was the House Special). One of the problems I have a Molyvos is that I try to eat slowly so that the meal lasts longer but yet this is impossible because the food is so delicious!

Excellent food and cocktails and the service was impeccable. They even sent out an anniversary dessert for us which was an unexpected bonus. Highly recommended for a special night out. It’s a bit pricey but you definitely get what you paid for.

This beautifully designed establishment never disappoints. From the personal greeting at the door to every waitperson I’ve ever encountered, I’ve always felt welcomed. The food is fresh and flavorful. The wine selection is plentiful. I’m a fan of their 3 sampler spread appetizer served with freshly warmed pita or an additional order of fresh veggies for the dips. I’m a mousaka fan - made with seasoned ground lamb - but the varieties of grilled fish are also delicious. Desserts are worth cheating for. A great place to bring guests. I will continue to return.

This was our first time at their new location. Very nice contemporary space. Our server was outstanding, immediately asking if we had to catch a show. Everyone at our table enjoyed our dinner and the the Greek sauvignon blanc was a very pleasant surprise. We will go again.

This restaurant used to be on 7th Ave and when it closed despair set in. Its new location is much nicer; the food is outstanding; and our service is exceptional. The only thing I would say needs improvement is to have a location near me in Virginia!
