Last night we had an amazing time celebrating my Aunt's birthday Our server was (Maria) great personality very attentive- a huge Asset who always goes above and beyond for me and guests. Waiter was wonderfully kind and friendly. The host with the blonde curly hair and thick accent was very rude and not helpful. As a woman of color, I felt disrespected and unwelcome. She was targeting my race and even made fun of my names multiple times.

The music was too loud. It was difficult to carry on a conversation. My throat is sore from shouting. The manager needs to decide if this is a quiet cocktail bar or a night club/lounge, it can’t be both. Right now it’s neither. The drinks are great but the food is mediocre. Our hostess and server were both excellent.

Went early in the night - zero attitudes and a warm welcome; great small bites; perfect view; and sure a bit pricey cocktails but they went down easy and were very good. This is a return spot!

I took my crew, all out-of-towners, models and actresses who were here for the auto show, to Ascent, for the vibe, the cocktails and the view. It did not disappoint. Traveling from all over the US, (LA, Miami, Texas, and Michigan), and Germany, they wanted a place to ring in our last night in NYC together. Being a native New Yorker myself, and having frequented Ascent Lounge before, I knew this was the perfect spot for that scene. The drinks and food were on point, the service was attentive and lovely, and everyone had a blast. Thanks so much!

Ascent is a beautiful space to enjoy music and drinks with friends. This isn’t a bar, this a lounge with above average drink prices to identify it as a destination location with a level of expected sophistication. Feel free to dress up. Settle in and enjoy a tasty craft concoction, and sample a menu of tasty bites that includes wagyu sliders, brussel sprouts, and Asian-influenced chicken skewers. The views of Columbus Circle, and the night sky, are memorable.

Rude hostess. Had the unique ability to make me feel unwelcome. Upon sitting down at table, was so disturbed, decided to leave. Overall terrible experience and will never revisit. Management needs to invest more time in training and hiring skilled employees. (Note: in order to provide this commentary, I had to rate the food…which I gave the benefit of doubt with a 4 star rating)

The artisan craft cocktails were really something special and the the view cannot be beat! The Ascent Lounge is really wonderful for a special occasion drink and a bite to eat before a Carnegie or Lincoln Center concert.

The atmosphere was perfect! It wasn’t too busy, but it’s a nice and classy place! The drink menu was so creative and it’s presentation was stunning! Ordered the crispy chicken sliders, and they are the best I have ever had! Great value for the experience! I will definitely be going back soon!
