Ocean Prime is an excellent restaurant with beautiful decor, phenomenal food, delicious cocktails, wine list out of this world and exceptional service from our server Jesus Leal the best server in New York We were lucky to be cared by Jesus he was incredible attentive, professional and well versed in the menu listening carefully to our special needs. We were impressed how Jesus exceeded our expectations! making our dinner experience unbelievable. We will definitely return to Ocean Prime before December to be served by Jesus. I highly recommend Ocean Prime for the quality and consistency in the service, the atmosphere and the food.

Ripon was our server and was extremely friendly and told us the specials. Ripon took our order and checked in on us at various stages of our dining without being intrusive or hovering. Rip on made our meal a fine dining experience. Our meal was to die for. We started with the lump crab cocktail which was so fresh and delicious. We then ordered the Alaskan halibut which was a generous portion served on a medley of peas lobster mushrooms and lobster pieces. The fish was cooked to perfection and the medley was an excellent accompaniment. Ripon recommended the butter cake. We finished the meal by splitting the cake with fresh berries in a raspberry sauce with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. The dessert was absolutely fantastic in that it was not overly sweet and had a wonderful texture. After paying the bill we lingered a bit before leaving. On the way out we saw Ripon. He greeted us and thanked us and told us again what a pleasure it was to serve us. Later that evening we commented on our dinner had to be one of the best we have had.

I absolutely loved this place. I’m a tourist and needed a great date night in short notice and they had so many times available for same day booking. We got the Colorado lamb, ny strip, calamari and it was all so delicious. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely be back for that place again.

Everything was amazing. I often dine at Ocean Prime and I’m happy I chose them to celebrate my birthday this year. Gordon, our waiter, was amazing and made me feel special on my birthday. Everyone was so accommodating given the downpour outside.

We dined in Ocean Prime amid the chaos of the floods in New York on 09/22. It wasn’t on our radar but a quick scan of viable options around our hotel on 52nd St. made Ocean Prime a standout. We were well impressed as we were lead to our table at 21:15 - a late reservation for us but the restaurant was pleasantly busy given the time and disruption across NYC. Straight up? The food is incredible. 5* without question. We enjoyed great starters and mains with top produce and nice twists on classic menu items. Our main gripe was the service. Jesse, our waiter seemed to be more interested in other tables. Perhaps it’s tourist accent (Scottish) but something was a bit off when it came to our table. We ended up over ordering - these things will happen on first visit to a restaurant but with little to no guidance on the size of portions or sides a lot of our food went to waste. Overall, the staff were attentive but not enough for the prices being charged. I’d have expressed more gratitude had we had an honest heads up on what we’d ordered. We finished up our cocktails and left - without sampling what is most likely an insane desert menu.

It was a first time dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Had Lobster bisque, surf and turf and filet mignon, cream broccoli with bacon. Everything was very delicious and elegantly presented. Our server Jesus was very attentive and caring, highly recommended.

Wonderful food and extremely attentive staff who really want you to have whatever suits your individual tastes. They also have a wonderful sense of humor and smile a lot. Food super yummy. Wine/booze selection a notch above. Will be back!

Ripton was our server and he was so great! He was able to have a soup and salad split in half for my mom and me which was so great. We shared the twin lobster tails as well. Everything was delicious! He was so polite and was very pleasant. Wonderful time!

First meal in NYC this trip. The Spicy Tuna to start is 5 star legit, had to order a second. Pretzel bread off the charts. Ordered 8os , Salmon, Jalapeño au gratin and the creamed spinach. The Spinach was life changing. Steak was on par. The lady loved the Salmon. Drinks were perfect and strong. 9/10

I will always come back here. The staff is so nice and respectful. The DJ played great music. I love coming here. The salmon with the sticky rice was so good and my friend enjoyed her filet Mignon. Every drink we had was perfect. I can’t wait to go back.

We go a lot. But tonight’s dinner wasn’t so great. Blackened fish was so so. And lobster pasta was bad! Drinks good as always and chop salad boring. Sun mozz for b cheese. Make it better.

Enver was an amazing waiter. He was very knowledgeable about wine suggestions and entree. He made our evening very special as we were celebrating my birthday. We loved the dessert suggested by Enver. He is a true representation of good service. We will come back because of him.

Service was fantastic. Shrimp cocktail fantastic. Lobster bisque fantastic. We both had steaks which were very good. This is not a quiet, upscale place to relax and visit. It is busy and very loud with a definite bar vibe. It is very difficult to hear a person even at your table. But fantastic food.

Great meal and experience. Only soft part was service — not as attentive as I would have thought for a top shelf and expensive restaurant. Examples: we had to ask for setups, ask if we could order, entrées and desserts were auctioned off when brought to the table (e., “who had the fish?”), which I can understand from my server at a diner, but not at s high-end restaurant.

Had dinner here for an anniversary and to put it lightly it was absolutely phenomenal I loved every bit of the decor to the ambience and the staff was just beyond words. The food was spectacular and the desert was something out of a fairytale. Recommend Abigail as your server.
