Great for brunch!!! I’ve been going here on and off for 5 years. They have a great brunch menu and it’s a great value. Huge portions and it comes with one alcoholic beverage. Upgrade to a boozy brunch for a fee for a two hour limit. They are very attentive so your glass won’t be empty if you do upgrade. It’s got a pub meets hipster feel. This is a can’t miss in Astoria!

The staff was gracious and welcoming and they were extremely attentive; appreciated the server's excellent sense of humor. Interesting brunch menu. The food was very rich - could have used a healthier large salad choice. Overall pretty pleasant for a pub type restaurant.

Overall my friends and I had a great time, but I was displeased with the wait time. We were told that we had to wait until the full party was present to be seated, but once we were all there, we were told to take a seat at the bar because the table before us was finished but they were still hanging out at the table. While we were seated at the bar, the hostess then asked us to move over to make room for another party that wanted to sit at the bar. I asked, "if you can ask us to move, why can't you ask the table that is finished to move? They are just sitting there on their phones." We were met with an uncomfortable silence. We ended up waiting over 20 minutes to be seated, despite having a reservation. The food was really good, and they were very generous with bottomless drinks. We ended up staying for a few hours, but I wish the hostess would address every situation the same.

Food was good, and the bottomless brunch was fantastic. We went in thinking that the mimosas were going to be mostly orange juice, but there was plenty of bubbly. Felix was our server, and he kept the drinks flowing. Would definitely recommend.

Brought the fam here for Thanksgiving dinner & while we were grateful they were open, the convenience was about the only plus. We weren’t sat until an hour after our reservation, they didn’t have the GF options we had specifically scoped our online (website is out of date) & it was extremely loud. After the recommendation from a friend I was surprised by how underwhelming the night was. Great for a drink with friends on the weekend, but won’t be back for anything else.

I absolutely fell in love at first bite! The PBLT (pork belly, lettuce tomato) sliders were genius. The fish and chips melted in my mouth with a light coating of spice accompanied by thousand island tarter sauce. You received a hearty portion of smashed potato chips that were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was so upbeat and the noise level was great. We could actually have an intimate conversion. The wait staff and bartender were very attentive. They have an awesome selection of beers on tap and well drinks. This place is not too pricey either. They have a nice front patio where you can sit and enjoy your meal. I will be back for sure. William Hallett is quite a gem.

This was our second time here and this time our experience wasn't all that great. Unfortunately for some reason they decided to have ONE server and ONE bartender and ONE runner on a Sunday BUSY brunch. We were looking forward to it all week and this time our experience was completely different from our outstanding first experience. First thing , the bartender comes and gets our drink order ( OJ and 2 coffees ). He brought the OJ, and gave us one and a half cup of cooffe because he didn't have enough coffee in the pot. He left our table promising he will bring more coffee and milk ( he didn't bring it in the first place) He NEVER came back with milk or coffee. Our one and only server in the restaurant came to ur table took our order , we asked for French toast for all of us to share , one OJ ( comes with your meal) and we gave him our individual order and also asked him to please bring milk and more coffee since one of us had less the half of a cup served by the bartender. Twenty minutes in and still no milk or coffee, we were trying to get our servers attention buy he was SO BUSY and running all over the place ,we literally felt bad. We finally got his attention and finally got our milk and coffee by our server who was apologizing nonstop. Finally the food arrives and guess what? NO FRENCH TOAST whatsoever. Our food was great , we never got our French toast or OJ. We didn't even bother asking our server about our French toast since ,once again, he was very busy running around. This is a clear example of what not to do when it comes having a busy bunch and only having one server. Management should be on top of this. It's better have 2 servers than 1, both could have made great money if they give great service. We wanna love this place, but we doubt if our experience will be the same as our last one. BIG BUMMER!

Food was great. Service was sub-par. It was 90 degrees outside and they gave us tiny paper cups of water, which were only refilled when we were able to get the waiters attention. We made a reservation, arrived on time, and were told that we had to sit outside or our only other option was the bar. The same thing offered to those without a reservation. I wouldn't go back.

This restaurant is a must-have if you're in Astoria. The food and drink are outstanding and you will always be surprised by new treats. I have been here more times than I can recall and will continue to return.

Brunch service was great and enjoyed the bottomless mimosa option. However, the manager hastily came over to our table and explained the rules to brunch to us and how we could continue our drinks at the bar as we're only allowed one hour for mimosas etc. my guest and I were only at our table for 45 minutes and then the hostess came up and we frankly asked if they just needed the table and if so, of course we would be happy to move. Rude on the managers part to not just be honest from the get go. Hostess was lovely as was the server but the manager needs to not speak down to paying patrons.

One of my favorite spots in Astoria. The food is delicious..and the drinks are amazing. Great ambiance, great service. Friendly neighborhood spot. I went for New Years Eve dinner & drinks and it was amazing as always.

For my birthday dinner: my boyfriend and I were seated quickly upon arrival. We started with the tatertot appetizer and the bursts with beets. Both were excellent. We both had the salmon, which was cooked nearly perfectly. They did ask how we wanted it, so people who like it done a bit more can request that. For dessert, we had the crepe cake, which I would recommend for chocolate lovers especially.

For an Astoria neighborhood restaurant, this is one of my choices. We've come here for brunch and dinner. We're always seated immediately. The food is good, mac and cheese is a must try.

Made a reservation for 2:15 after originally making it for 2:45. Showed up and they only had the original time wrote on their piece of paper. I showed the hostess the open table reservation. Needless to say, we didn't sit down until 3:05. Zero apology but received a comment we should have made the reservation earlier. My thought back is why did you allow me to make a reservation if not open. On to the food.... Horrible. Party if 6 and they struck out with 5 of us. Very small meals with no flavor and they all came out luke warm. Please go else where for your brunch!

Nothing special here. They were out of some menu items and the prices are comparable to any other 'new' American restaurant on the block. My hangar steak was edible and everything was pleasant enough, though, I was hoping for something a little more original. If you are hungry, it's decent enough to pop in, nibble, and grab a dram or brew. If you're looking for more thoughtful cuisine however, try some place else.

The bloody marys were delicious! The Hallet benedict was good but somewhat small. The service was poor. Our server did not check on us after our food came so we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes before we could finally get his attention and ask for ketchup and more water. Our table was in a terrible location, in the back near the kitchen, which had swinging saloon style doors that were extremely loud and ruined the entire meal.

Supposedly known for their cocktails. We ordered 2 drinks at the waitresses suggestion based on our likes. They were horrible. On actually tasted like robutussin. The waitress did not take our drinks or take them off our tab after we stated that we didn't enjoy them and wouldn't be drinking them. The cheese plates are not to share, as there is about 1 bite per cheese.

My partner and I love martinis and we are looking for a great place in Astoria to have them. Hallet disappointed a bit - they were small and pricey. They measure the pours - always a bad sign in my book. Upscale or not, every NY bar should know how to do any type of Martini. We may come back, but not sure. Entrées were also really nice but a little small although the prices are right! Advice: Up your martini game and we'll be back.

This was a pleasant surprise from all of the "usual" suspects in Astoria. The menu was carefully thought and offered unique options. The octopus appetizer was amazing. Actually, everything was amazing. I'll be back!

Food is amazing!!!! We ordered almost everything on the menu and everything was excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly, the watermelon salad was amazing with its feta croutons, we ordered all the deserts they had all were good but my favorite was milk and cookies. The service is what killed it. We were a table of ten and the entire evening I was looking for my waitress. Most of the time I would find her chatting with other employees so it's not like she was catering to someone else. At one point I asked for another round of drinks for everyone but instead my request was ignored and as opposed to being apologetic...she replied I asked everyone they said no. But that is not what I asked! I said bring another round. By the way I gave my credit card when I walked in and paid for my party. Anyways, place has amazing food and the ambiance is nice and relaxing. But service truly poor this can truly hurt a business
