   We have been here a few times and like this place. A little pricey but the service and atmosphere is nice. This time we sat outside and it was wonderful. Nice and quiet and our waiter was great and very attentive.

   Honestly I think Salute has gone downhill in the last several years. Our server even told us that it is closing up at the end of Nov2017. Sad to see it go as this was the location of my first date with my future wife two years ago...I guess we'll need to find another place to celebrate. At any rate, they've changed or dropped a number of our favorite menu items, so on our last visit we were fairly disappointed with our replacement dishes. Supposedly a new "celebrity chef" restaurant is coming in about a year...does not bode well, unless it's Giada!

   I have to say, tables for two are the worst here. I have a couple times and they stick parties of two in tables along a busy row, and in front of semi-circle tables. They barely would accommodate another party of two (one person was in a wheelchair) who asked to be seated at a different table. It's ridiculous that they hold "better" tables empty the entire time you are dining. I also think they prefer pretty women to put on display at certain tables. The food is good, but the atmosphere to me is eh. Also, the last waiter we had asked someone to bring us water, simple request. It never happened. Or waiter finally took care of it after 5-10 minutes. Someone else wasn't doing their job well.

    As always the food was wonderful. My only glitch in the evening was the reservation I made. When I checked in with my client and it was his birthday, I had requested a booth. This was a 6:15 reservation. The hostess said yes she saw the request but the only table she had was right along the walkway for two which would never hold all the food and drinks that would be ordered. I kindly asked if she did not have a booth did she at least have a table for 4 somewhere? With a very large sigh and eye rolling she told me to wait. I happen to know from frequent times Nate the lead bartender there and explained my problem..and guess what? He got us one of the 6 EMPTY booths and my client was DELIGHTED! says a lot about customer service, something the young ladies up front should learn from. BTW I am also a casino VIP as well as open table VIP

    Red Rock Casino is a bit of a drive from my home, but Salute makes the trip worthwhile. Salute is not your typical checkered table cloth Italian restaurant. See their web site for menu. We were a group of 8 friends. Three of us had been to Salute before, and really enjoyed the food and ambiance. I joined their e-mail list. So, when I noticed the Sunday Dinner special for Seniors, it was too good to pass up. I put the word out and my friends decided to come along. Our server, Derrick, was attentive and professional, which added to our pleasant experience. Highly recommend this restaurant. Those in our group who had not been to Salute before have said, now they have discovered it, they definitely will be back.

    Wanted to take family who was visiting out for a nice dinner somewhere where the kids could be near (kids quest). We dropped the kids off at kids quest and called to let them know we were on our way. They said it was no problem but when we got there 5 min after 7:00pm they asked us to wait while they set up our table. Odd. We were greeted and given menus but it took the server a great amount of time to return to take our first drink order. As the night got busier, the service slowed tremendously. Our appetizers came and we had no water to wash it down with. We drank our wines and cocktails well before someone came out to take our next drink order, which we had to wait a lengthy time to be brought out again. Our server had to come out and apologize for the wait on our dinner twice. By the time our dinner came out, our veal Marsala was room temperature and we again didn't have anything to drink so we had to wait again for someone to take our drink order and refill our water so we had something to wash our food down. We were really looking forward to an enjoyable and relaxing night but we spent majority of the evening waiting and trying to get servers attention. On a brighter note, the personality of the servers was professional.

    Ryan was a great server! However, it appears that the Level of staff was not the same a one year ago when we have been dining there last time. To casual discussions between staff, not being aware that it has an impact on the ambiance of the Restaurant was not appropriate. The Restaurant was empty when we made our reservation for 8:30pm. We have been seated, despite of an empty restaurant, right next to a children B-day dinner company, that was not behaving to the level of a Restaurant this calibre. We have been listening to noise kids and it seemed that the Parents (neither the Staff) didn't worry that their kid were disturbing to other clients in the Restaurant. This was not a nice dinner experience for our time there.

    We tried to get into another restaurant at the Red Rock but found this place to be available on Open Table. Glad we came here. Our server was great, food was tasty! I would recommend the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Clam dish with spaghetti was also excellent.

    The food was over priced. Why because it was Ok, it was bland. The presentation to our pasta dish was the highlight of the night (salute pasta) or dessert was not good. Overall will not come bk. I might try the happy hour but I don't think it will be worth it

    Disappointed with the Salute Signature Pasta entree ($26). My son and I both ordered the entree to be served "table side" in a pecorino cheese wheel. The offering has a variety of sauces. My son ordered the alfredo sauce and I the Vodka sauce. Because we ordered two different sauces, only one could be served table side and the other in the kitchen. Why could they not have two wheels prepared one after the other? Highly disappointed about not even given an option. As the server said "only one wheel per table" - then why not offer a discount for the lack of the experience. It was the recommendation of a collegue about this dish of why we dined at Salute. There was a positive upside to the meal - the Truffle Grissini - these were recommended by the server - very unique and delicious. The server said the quantity was three but was served with four. Maybe a bit more training is required.

    My wife and I have frequented Salute since its opening. Sometime this year the menu changed slightly. But that slight change seems to also have resulted in the recopies changing of the same menu items which still exist from the old menu, and for the worse. The signature pasta was waaaayyyy better when we had it several trips back. It was very tangy this time with very little cheese. Also, the meatball(s) used to be one giant meatball that was delicious. Now they come as 4 very small individuals which aren't as soft and don't taste nearly as good as they used too. My wife had the Chicken Picata, which we have both tried before. It used to come served with a small side of pasta on the plate. Not anymore, that costs extra now. The service has also gone from excellent to just ok. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. With the menu changes, price hikes, and service degradation I don't think we will return again.

    I reserved a table of 9 about an hour before i needed and it was available! Great right?! For the entire time we were dining, the restaurant was less then half full. My point being we should have received timely service. When the entrees came, 3 were missing. 1 came a couple of minutes later. 1 more came (cold) after 2 other people had already finished their meals, and the last entree came another 10 minutes later. The excuse of "a new chef" was given by our server. As for the Ambiance, our party found it funny that the lights were turned down from a 10 brightness to a 2 instantly. instead of slowly dimming the lights over a few minutes for mood lighting. I am a local as were the rest of the party, we all decided we would never be dining at Salute again.

    Salute is Italian as good as it gets in this part of the world. Decor, quality along with super service is top notch. As seniors we take advantage of the Sunday special. From 5 to7 buy two entrees and get one free. Ala carte with great selections and some specials. Special mention for our server this past Sunday. Her name is Giana. Service was impeccable as was her thorough knowledge of the menu. She also speaks Italian, which gives an authentic flavor to the entire experience. Highly recommended.

    Very disappointed in the Quality of the food. Also our waiter had to many tables and therefore the service was poor. I had to send my meal back because it was overcooked and my husband's salad did not have any dressing on it. I requested salt & pepper and the salt was chunky and big. Over all it was very disappointing but the restaurant is pretty but very noisy.

    Really enjoyed the table side menu a couple of months ago went back for the same meal because it was so good but they had changed the ingredients on the table side and the red sauce didn't absorb the cheese and the waiter had to continually ignight the flame on the cheese and the smell of the butane stayed on the meal and the red sauce was not very enjoyable

    We have been here several times and while always having a good experience inside the outdoor service is quite substandard. It's almost as if customers there are forgotten about or the wait and bus staff prefer to be inside and so the service suffers. It took five minutes to get menus once we were seated although there were two busboys seemingly confused looking around at the various tables. When we asked one of them for a menu the reply was our waiter would be right with us. Approximately 25 minutes after we finished our first course our waiter swung by and appeared in a panic. Immediately our entrées start arriving however no one had came by to clear our first course plates. While the food tasted good my pasta was lukewarm apparently it had been sitting a while.

    We used to love this place but they have a new chef. He changed their signature dish which was fettucine with vodka sauce. They had this huge parmesan cheese wheel and flambéed it with vodka while scraping the cheese and then they added sauce from the kitchen and tossed the fettucine in it. It was fantastic. The new chef scraped it and uses a different cheese and the cheese wheel is about 1/3 the size which makes sense because I am sure they are not selling much of it. Taste horrible and previously it was quite the show too. Classic case of someone fixing something that was not broken, in fact it was better than not broken. Stupid.

    I have had the signature pasta here multiple times and have taken multiple people here for dinner to try it. They changed it and It was not close to as good as with the cheese & pepper. The person I took this time Felt it was "ok" which is the first time anyone has not talked about how much they love it! Hopefully they will Change it back to the old way.
