I went to Cafe Maxx for Sunday brunch as it was my birthday. My mom and I both had the eggs Benedict, which was very good and my boyfriend had the BLT Egg sandwich. I had a bloody Mary, which was very tasty. I asked for extra olives, but only got two total. For me it’s all about the garnish! Lol but overall, I would go back again.

Order scallop appetizer. They were bad and made me sick after we left the restaurant. Server seemed to disappear at times.

I tried to fried chicken over cornbread waffle. The chicken was super good however the cornbread was very soggy so I never ate it. But everything was very good other than that. We also did bottomless mimosas and the server was attentive to that. I booked on my birthday, which falls on Father’s Day and requested a booth so hopefully we’ll have the same. Great service food and I’ll actually read my note about the booth!

For decades Cafe Maxx, located in an unremarkable strip shopping center, has been one of the most illustrious restaurants in the Pompano/Fort Lauderdale area. A recent dining experience was no exception. Food was absolutely superb (calamari and beef carpaccio appetizers, filet mignon and flounder mains, and bread pudding dessert). The wine list is well chosen and well priced. Service is calm and very professional, yet friendly. Things were quiet on an early Sunday evening in June, and their small bar, as usual, had a nice compliment of convivial patrons. All in all a great spot, and highly recommended.

When I first arrived I was shocked at the exterior of the building. It was shabby looking and did not appear to be open except a neon cocktail glass in the window that said “OPEN” let me to believe it must be open. There was an empty food cart with a white table cloth out front I guess to show some sort of life? I still questioned myself about it being open but saw others entering so I continued to go in. The interior was dark and dated. Menu seemed limited and strange to me. Although the wait staff was very pleasent and attentive the food was less than what I expected. Would I go back? NO ME

I think Cafe Maxx is the BEST restaurant in our area. I live in Parkland and I will always rate Cafe Maxx as my number one. The food is consistently delicious as well as the service. Love, love, love!
