   My wife and I are regulars. We have have tried almost everything on the menu and our meals have never been anything less than superb. As a comparison, for an anniversary we went to a French restaurant in midtown 3x more expensive that was fancier but wasn't as good. As a bonus the owners Kenichi and Keiko are super nice people. You feel good eating there. Now for the food. Parts of the menu change seasonally so you'll have to check the menu but the cassoulet, the duck (any of them), the venison, and the pig knuckle are exceptional. For starters its hard not to get the ostrich tartare with foie gra, it's an act of will. Finally, for dessert the fig toffee pudding cake could make you forget chocolate, happily they put some chocolate sprinkles on so you won't.

   Food and atmosphere was great! A great place away from the hustle and bustle of the city nestled in a quiet neighborhood.

   Overall it was a great fine in the area, cute ambiance and very creative with pairing of ingredients. Wish it was not so out of the way for us but we were glad to give it try and will definitely dine again the next time we are in the neighborhood.

    Mountain Bird is consistently outstanding. No matter what you choose it is always absolutely delicious. The staff is warm and welcoming. Cocktails are great. You can not go wrong!
