   We had a lovely meal at Melanzano, starting with the appetizer special of roast vegetables, a small eggplant pizza, a pasta, and the chocolate mousse for dessert. While the space is a bit noisy, we were able to talk without inconvenience. It's nice to be a senior in a space filled with younger people. Word to the wise: it is BYOB, but the restaurant did a very good job reminded me of that reality.

   We had the mushroom pinsa (pizza really) which was good. I had the pasta with mushrooms and truffle. It was good, but it came 5 minutes or more after my husband’s pinsa. I think the kitchen screwed up reading the ticket. We had a side of artichokes which were very good. The best thing we had was the octopus to start. It was so tender. Amazing. It was a large portion. I would think of having it as an entree my next visit.

   Our first time there and it did not disappoint! All the food was exceptional - the mushroom pasta is a must! The service is terrific and the place has a great vibe. A foodie would be very happy there. Also it is byob which was nice.

   The service was just right. Friendly, not overly solicitous. Gaby suggested the perfect app for the table. The manager checked in. Food was prompt and as ordered. Pricing was quite fair.

   It was a Sunday evening. They were short staffed, only one waiter for approximately 10-15 tables; however, he was fantastic. Didn’t have to wait for anything and was very attentive. I couldn’t believe he was by himself. Also, the food was excellent.

   Never disappointed. Food was delicious. We really like their pasta dishes, seems to be the perfect size for us and never too overwhelming on the sauces. Really appreciated the waitress. She was so accommodating when we told her we were on a tight schedule.

    Was in Philly for the flower show. Found Melograno via a magazine article about restaurants in Rittenhouse Square. Arugula salad was fresh and light - perfect. Wild mushroom pasta was one of the best we've ever had - would order that again in a heartbeat. Our waitress was lovely and knowledgeable about the food. Overall, a really nice evening. Will definitely visit again when we are in Philadelphia.

    I loved it Melograno when I went for the first time on a weekday. On a weekend it was a totally different story. The restaurant was packed and loud. Half of my red snapper came out raw. You get the picture. I’d still love to give it a chance if they can figure out how to handle busy nights.

    Service was outstanding--even tho it's BYOB the waiter noticed my wine needed decanting and went the extra mile and decanted it for us. We were seated at a great window table--best seat in the house imo. Besides service, food was excellent. Great place.

    The food was fresh and delicious with good portion sizes. However, minus 1 star for the service, as they made us feel rushed. During the entire meal, the staff would hover and immediately take a plate away as soon as it appeared empty. Once they tried to take a plate away when a member of my party was not finished with their food. Then when the bill came, we were still casually sitting at our table drinking wine and enjoying our conversation. One of the staff members came to touch the receipt to see if there was a card underneath it (it was not yet on the side of the table indicating we were ready to pay) and they hovered around our table waiting until we paid. I don’t like to feel rushed when I am going out to dinner, especially when we didn’t stay for an extensive amount of time (roughly an hour and a half for 4 people which I feel is a normal amount of time).

    The cacio e pepe and the beet ravioli were excellent! Our first time at Melograno did not disappoint. Don’t skip out on the bread pudding dessert!

    This restaurant has all the right elements of a great place but doesn’t pull through. The ambiance and service are nice, it’s open kitchen, and the menu is creative. But each dish we tried was a little off. The pasta is homemade but generally too oily. The pizza is homemade with excellent sauce but the cheese was off and the crust (also homemade) needed a bit of sugar and salt.

    Food was delicious and really fresh. The decor was bland but pleasant. Service was very good, and the manager stopped by to check on our meal. We would be happy to eat there again. The gnocchi was really fantastic!!

    Excellent service, atmosphere, and terrific food. BYOB. We usually have their homemade pastas, but I chose their salmon this time because it was a well-rated sustainable choice. Really delicious; served with an interesting combination of nicely cooked veges. Try their artichoke contorni.

    My meal was delicious! However my wife got the special and it was very disappointing! It was a shrimp and pasta dish and the shrimp was very mushy. All the flavors tasted the same and the sauce overwhelmed the dish. Just not tasty. This was a very rare off night for Melograno, one of our favorite spots.

    Our dinner was great! We went for restaurant week and I think for the food we got, $40/person was definitely a fair price. Everything was delicious, timely, and our server was fantastic. Would definitely go back or recommend to a friend!
