   Had a closing/celebration dinner w/ investment partners at Cherry Circle Room last week. We had an excellent meal from start to finish. Cocktails were great. The sommelier recommended great wine to go w/ all courses. The oysters were excellent. And, the entrees were perfect all the way around - the OG ribeye and the duck were amongst the favorites. Top it all of w/ a unique, stand out environment and service, plus a night cap at Cindy's Rooftop. Great night all the way around!

   Our party of four had a terrible experience at he Cherry Circle Room. It is expensive and the service and food are both underwhelming and not worth the experience. Our waiter was very curt and was reluctant to explain any of the dishes. He never came back around to ask how everything was and if we needed anything else. We had to stop random servers to ask for another Manhattan and to get some bread (which came after our first course and after we asked for it multiple times) and which no one told us it was the Parker Rolls (and that it was being baked) and came with a $12 charge. The French onion soups were excellent, but my foie gras pate had no flavor. My husband ordered the Halibut and said he didn't want the asparagus and could another vegetable be substituted. He was told that no substitutions were allowed and he could order a side dish for another upcharge. The brussel sprouts he ordered were full of mayonnaise and not very good and the Halibut was a small piece and underwhelming. My duck breast was delicious, but the dark meat of the duck was turned into a hard ball that was inedible. The OG steak was good, but the chicken breast was unremarkable. I tried ordering a decaf cappuccino and was told they didn't serve decaf expresso, my friend tried ordering a tea but was told they only had mint and chamomile. The carrot cake was inedible and probably the worst dessert I've ever had. White globs of ganache, tasteless pieces of cake and bland, tiny squares of ice cream (which they did in fact comp after we complained). To top off the bad food, bad service and high prices, the host came over to us after we had been there for two hours and asked us to leave by suggesting he get us a table on the floor outside the restaurant so we could continue our conversation! We were so shocked and embarrassed.

   Matt is THE BEST! When we arrived my billfold had just been pickpocketed elsewhere — so he started us off with an immediate and complimentary prosecco. Really turned a positive note on what was looking like it was going to be a sad b-day. Thank you, Matt et al at Cherry Circle!

   We were celebrating my husbands birthday and were very happy. It was our first time at the Cherry Circle Room and can’t wait to go back. Very romantic and staff very attentive to every detail. Wonderful experience and fabulous food!!

   Met up with a few family and friends for my sister’s birthday. We were a table of women and it seemed like the waiter was not happy about that. He made it very clear he was annoyed with us! He couldn’t ruin our night since we still had fun being all together! Food was ok. Music selection was good.

    The food here was outstanding, as well as the service. We had beef tartare and oysters for appetizers; some of our party had duck, others had pork, others had the chateaubriand and all were excellent. Special mention to the dark chocolate crème brulee dessert !!!!

    Went for our 2 year anniversary and had the best experience at cherry circle room. They gave us champagne and a custom printed menu celebrating our anniversary as well as perfect food and service. Incredible.

    The food was excellent. The cocktails were incredible. The service was Flawless from beginning to end. Our waiter, Nicholas, was full of knowledge about the food, the wine pairing everything. We are definitely coming back.

    Cherry Circle Room is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is fantastic. The mussels are amazing! Get them. We love the risotto. Also, if there is honey-fennel ice-cream the day you're there - GET IT!

    Love Cherry Circle Room! As a frequent traveler to Chicago, I love the history of the place and the building, but what keeps me coming back is the food, service and ambiance; consistently exceptional. The beef tartare made table side is wonderful. The pork entree and duck were wonderfully prepared and creative and not too much food ( for this meat and potatoes town). Interesting but expensive wine list and good cocktails. The cozy dark booths are a step back in time, in a good way. Hard to find these days.

    Quiet, cozy and atmospheric. This was my second visit - had to make a 5 pm reservation just to get in. We had the grilled watermelon, pork featherloin, shrimp cocktails, and halibut. All cooked to perfection, nicely presented and in good proportion.

    We made a reservation for 5 people at 12 noon Sunday Brunch and arrived on time. The welcome from the female host was rather chilly and she didn't appear ready for our arrival, we were sat at the first table near the entrance, 3 deuces pulled together with 6 place settings - 3 and 3 facing each other, a bit awkward for conversation. So one of my guests pulled her chair to head of the table asking me if it was ok, I said of course. This way she wouldn't have to look down the length of the table to have conversation... the host seemed put off by this move but the dropped the menus and left. After the meal was served neither the host or the waiter checked on us for additional brunch cocktails. When we left we passed directly by the host, we never heard a good bye greeting, "thank you", "have a great day"...nothing!

    What a great experience! We went on the recommendation of a friend that had visited the bar/game room side a few days earlier. We were visiting Chicago with my four children, husband and MIL. We went for dinner our first night in town and as a special 70th birthday dinner for my mother in law. They had a special menu waiting for her. The service was excellent. The ambiance is well deserving of the James Beard award! The menu is not big by any means, but plenty of options to satisfy everyone. We left more then full. We were very happy with the evening and will be back for sure. I would not say this would normally be a kid friendly place, but they did not blink their eye at our two 16 year olds, 12 year old and 9 year. They are all we’ll traveled and excellent diners however. Loved the evening here.

    Always a class act. Whether at the bar or in one of their expansive booths, dinner at the CCR is always memorable. The food it outstanding and the drinks are just as good. Never trendy, always classic/classy. A Chicago gem.
