   Angel of Harlem is a fun happening spot. Fit for young adults looking for a good brunch spot. Worth the value in bottomless mimosas + rum punch brunch special.

   This was my second time here, thus clearly there’s something I LIKE. I realize it’s the yummy energy ~ lots of sparkling conversation swirls, fun folk are always around and the music is dance worthy... add to that, cheap drinks during happy hour, and BAM That’s the good. The bad, isn’t so much as it is “bad” as simply forewarned. First, the food isn’t phenomenal. It’s basic bar food quality. Don’t expect fantastic. Just good. Manage that expectation ...and you’ll have a fab experience

   Sunday brunch is packed w/people hovering behind you from the lack of space &/or line @ the bar. Food is always great.Alberto & Jose are always accommodating & attentive to all guests!

   I would never eat at Angel of Harlem again. The hostess was rude. She kept ordering alcoholic drinks while we ate. The shrimp and grits could have been better. I ordered a coke from the bar. It was watered down. The only good thing about my dining experience was the bartender. He made sure our food was ordered and delivered quickly. When you order your food. The bill is placed in a glass before you even receive your order . Angel of Harlem thanks but never again.

   The restaurant was great but the food was not all that great and the service from the waiter was horrible. The host was such a delight as she held onto my reservation because I was running late. The music was amazing. I danced the night away. Great time but bad food and horrible service from the waiter.

   So late with this review but I celebrated Easter here during it's Brunch & had the best time! We arrived later than our reservation because Church was a little longer than usual. So, it was great to see that the place wasn't packed by the time we arrived and although, we couldn't sit at a table, we were able to sit at the bar which was fine for us. The bartender was so kind and attentive, the music and DJ was the best part besides the FOOD! Oh! The food was so tasty. Making this review now is making me want to make another reservation. So glad they have OpenTable now so that's a great improvement. Overall, It's a Brunch you must experience at least once! For me though, I will NOT be having the unlimited mimosas, I was DONE for the rest of the day so I'll stick to one or two drinks,

   This is my 2nd time at Angel of harlem. I was here the 1st time with friends. 2nd time I brought my business partner here for brunch. Both times were excellent. I would refer this place over and over.

    The female DJ had the place jumping. The appetizers were spectacular especially the chicken empanadas. The entree was just ok the oxtails could have been more seasoned and tender. The catfish entree was really good. The staff was attentive and courteous. I would definitely recommend and for sure return!

    The food was great and our server was amazing ans nice. The place was way too crowded. Tables are placed close together. We could barely fit 4 people at our table. I went on a Saturday for brunch to celebrate my birthday but the music wasnt that great. The dj didn't play much variety. He played Latin music for the three hours I was there. The reviews on yelp said 90's r&b and hip hop. They will also give away your table if your entire party is not there on time. The crowd and the music will not bring me back.

    Honestly, this place was everything I heard it would be. Music was awesome - rap, hip-hop, r&b - a little bit of house music thrown in but it all worked [DJ was on point]. The food was to die for. I used to say you can never have a brunch spot with both a great ambiance and great food and I was proven wrong in this case. I had the steak & eggs - they came with potatoes as well and I can't line - it was INCREDIBLE. My friend had the kale salad and she also said it was great! As a group we drank the rum punch and it was strong tasted good! I recommend this spot if you're looking to have fun with your friends. The music is super loud so talking probably won't work so well. If you're celebrating a birthday or just looking for a good time - this is definitely the place for you. The price was also really good - we've been to brunch spots where you almost spend $100 and you hate the food. This place was half that - and the employees were so nice; from the waiter to the hostess to the security at the front - everyone was in a great mood. I'll be back for sure and can't wait to bring more friends!

    It was a mess. The do not encourage the turn-over of tables and since the space is more of a nightclub than a restaurant, people stay for hours. Your reservation is the same as a walk-in. We waited 45 minutes after our reservation time before we were seated. Our friends waited an additional 40 minutes. At least the hostess was kind enough to expedite our food orders.

    One of the worst and most humiliating experiences if my life!! My friends and I were RACIALLY PROFILED here!!! I've never been so insulted! Their GM accused my friend of previously running out on a tab & shes never been there b4!! He runs the tape sees it is clearly not her and yet he still doesn't apologize and continues to approach her aggressively when he was wrong!! No apology or anything. Even when He sees he was clearly wrong, he continued to treat her like a criminal. The only similarity between her and the person on the tape - they were Black women. There was a clear height, size, hair color and length issue and a difference of about 100lbs. He was banging on the counters talking loudly and disrespectfully in front of other customers. AND the hostess is the absolute worst! She's more concerned with socializing and flirting with customers than being proefessional! NEVER AGAIN! THIS IS RACIAL PROFILING. And I will be sure to tell any and everyone i know and can reach to no longer support this establishment!!

    Angel of Harlem advertised for the Superbowl and had "specials" so we reserved a table for the game. Upon arrival our waitress informed us that the sound for the game wouldn't be turned on at all. I like Angel of Harlem and will come back for brunch, but I'm annoyed they advertised for something they didn't actually commit to showing.

    My date & I went for brunch. Jamol was our server & he was awesome! The food was good & was fast. The drinks were great. My only issue was that my guest & I were seated at the bar. When making a reservation it is surely assumed that a party of more than one will be seated at a table. If that isn’t the case based off of whatever is going on with the restaurant they should disclose that to the customer on the site or in the open table site.

    The service was very terrible, we waited like 15 mins just to sit and all the tables where open. The waitress didn’t introduce himself didn’t greet us. The manager knew the experience wasn’t great and all he did was sent shots but never came to talk to us. The food was good tho.

    Great place for a birthday celebration! Everyone in the party enjoyed themselves! The dj did a great job playing to the crowd and our waiter was on point! Would highly highly recommend this place!!

    The service started off a bit rocky. I mentioned to the server that out table wasn't level and asked if he could fix it or we could move. He responded, "are you ready to order or not?" Once the table was fixed the service was fine. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant however because I became sick within 2 hours of eating there. It was my only meal of the day so I know if wasn't cause by something else.

    I loved the music and the food but I DID NOT like that I was asked to move my table. I made a reservation (which allows you a max of two hours) for 9pm within 25 minuets we were asked to move to another table because someone wanted our table. Overall I had a good time they just need to work on their sitting arrangement.

    I always come to AOH for brunch with my friends. They offer a late brunch on Saturdays and Sundays which is great for those who want get out in enough time, have fun and listen to good music. This place is very loud and definitely what you would call a brunch party, so if you are looking for a quiet sit-down restaurant during brunch, then this is probably not the best place. They have a great selection of food to choose from and the bottomless brunch drinks are awesome. You can choose between mimosas, white or red sangria and rum punch for an additional $25. My favorites drinks are the red & white sangria and the rum punch. I would also advise everyone to make reservations for brunch because this place gets packed. You won't regret coming here that's for sure!

    This is definitely a vibrant and great place to catch up with friends! I celebrated my birthday and had a wonderful time. It felt like I was at a party and the music was loud and current! The 90's music was a great trip down memory lane. Highly recommend!

    Enjoyed our first -- but certainly not last -- meal at this cool Harlem neighborhood gem. Campy local artsy decor, nightly DJ music, good food and drinks, wonderful service. Try it -- you'll thank me.

    Totally disappointed made my reservations for three Way in advance and was told upon arrival that parties of five or more have reserve tables that anything under five had to sit at the bar . Have a bad Back and sitting at the Bar wasn’t Good for Me. Also wasn’t informed that DJ arrive at 1pm .

    I eat at The Angel often when I’m in NYC. I’ve never been dissatisfied with the food nor service however this was the first time I’ve experienced poor service. I arrived during early dinner hours. It wasn’t crowded but after receiving the menu I had to wait several minutes too long to place my order. A server and one of the managers passed my table so I yelled to catch their attention and place my order. It was too early for them to be inattentive. This is one off. I’ll eat there again because the music and food are great. The servers attentiveness needs to improve.

    Angel of Harlem was an excellent spot to celebrate a birthday party or for just a causal gathering. We were seated right away although we were about 10 mins late. Our waiter was handsome, patient and pleasant. The food was good. The decor is really nice and it was a very intimate yet spacious spot. The DJ was so good and we were grooving all night. I haven't had a good time like that in a long while. I will definitely go back to visit.

    One of my best friend's was visiting from Texas for her birthday. I took her to Angel to celebrate not knowing exactly what we signed up for. Our server was the most attentive, vibrant, and fun server I've had in a long while. She made sure to keep our drinks filled, our food was hot on arrival to our table; and she made sure to have the DJ play a special song for my friend upon bringing out her birthday cheesecake! We laughed, danced, and enjoyed many "spirits" during our visit. This will definitely be my go-to spot for all of my future guests. Thanks for a memorable experience!
