Restaurant was closed for renovations, nowhere on the app did it tell us that. Me and my wife were planning on going there for our anniversary and ended up having to scramble to find a restaurant that had an open table. Terrible experience with the app and the restaurant

Open Table allowed me to make a reservation. When I got to the restaurant, there was a sign that said “Temporary Closed”.. we should not be able to reserve a table for a place that’s closed. We’re from out of town.

Food was fantastic. The brisket is tender and delicious. The assortment of sauces is great. The service wasn’t that great. Our meal came out long before our appetizer.

We went on the coldest week night of the year. And it was cold inside and no live music, only in weekends. That being said, the meat portions were huge. Barbecue was very good! Our waitress was lovely and we aren't low maintenance. I would like to try again in the Spring in a weekend.

Food was good. Was expecting more choices. Would have liked pulled chicken to be available and not just half a chicken. Not much options for children which was difficult.

We had a 6:15 reservation. At 7:05, I finally got my beverage (after waiting almost 20 minutes for the waitress to even come over despite the place being almost dead). Worst yet, it came WITH mine and my kids food, so I didn't have any time to enjoy it or our app (which also came the same time), but all this about 15 minutes before the rest of our party got their food. I informed the manager because it was beyond ridiculous and became the center point of our dinner conversation. The manager comped some of our food and we ended up just letting our kids run free on the dance floor (it's a pretty open feel so that's why we thought it'd be a good place with kids). The food was excellent though and it's a great place for live music, but the service has always been really slow.

The rustic decor was unexpected. Picnic tables in the area we sat. A fun and festive casual atmosphere with cafeteria style . Our waiter Damon was professional and attentive. The meats were excellent! The sides were passable. A visually nice selection of comfort foods. Flavors sid not measure up to the presentation. The collard greens were overly peppery for my taste. Nice selection of beers...only 4 house wines. That being said, I would go there again with different expectations.

I guess we really didn't need a reservation. When we arrived the place was pretty much empty. So the noise level was way down. Guessing folks stayed home to watch the games vs coming to the restaurant to watch. My food was excellent and harty. It's a bit far for us to come but we were our way home and came through Leesburg so we decided to stop in. Fox5 did a Zip Trip there and I was anxious to try the place out.

Good food in a casual setting. Smoked meats available at per pound prices making it easy to control portion and cost. Great live band the night we were there. They had to stop playing @ 10:30. I assume it was due to noise ordinance in the town. That is too bad because they didn't go on until 9:00. That was a disappointment plus to fact that we had to move out of the back dining room area around 9:30 and had to sit in the bar area. Didn't understand that.

it was a fluke that we stopped here. My husband & I were out for a "Sunday drive", & just picked a place, out of the blue. It was yummy! The brisket was moist, tasty, & the mac & cheese . . . mmmm! Husband had the ribs, & said there were great! He wasn't impressed with the baked beans or deviled eggs, but the cornbread was amazing! Can't wait to return!!

This is my fourth visit. First time was fantastic each time since it has gone downhill. Sunday the food was good but, not hot. It was like having warmed leftovers that weren't that warm. Without a chef on duty the servers don't know what to do to maintain food quality and service. Very disappointed. I don't think I'll return for a fifth visit.

We had high expectations based on the appearance of the venue, the live music and the menu as seen on-line. I don't know if this was an "off" evening but our party was extremely disappointed in the lack of attentive service. Each of the employees with whom we interacted was very friendly and accommodating. However, getting anyone's attention was a problem. From the start, there was no clear indication of who was assigned to our table, we had to go to the bar several times to order drink refills and could have easily walked out without paying given that we tried for about 15 minutes to get someone's attention to bring us our check. Given that the restaurant was not busy (perhaps 4 tables of 4 and 6 people at the bar), our party had a heated discussion around how much longer this place will remain in business...bets are that they can't last with this level of service for more than 3 months. Too bad ...as the potential is huge...execution is sub-par.

I had high expectations based on the review in Thrillist. The food was okay. The way the process works should be explained when you sitdown. Server will bring you drinks and appetizers but if you want anything from the market you have to get it yourself. Sauces were lackluster. The "spicy" sauce had no spice whatsoever.

This was single handedly the worst dining experience I've had in a decade. I have the privilege of dining at very good venues all over this country and Smokehouse is a neighborhood establishment that I will never go back to or recommend - staff was rude and didn't know what was on the menu - in fact the pulled pork sandwich was menu'd with cole slaw and cole slaw was not available at 2pm. The waitress actually stated the only menu item they had was macaroni and cheese. The party tried to order an item with chili but we were told there was no chili available. Service was rude, slow and management was unavailable. Our party graciously paid our bar tab and left without ordering food. I recommend staying away from this establishment in total. Its a terrible experience.

We arrived at 8pm and were seated. Our orders were taken at 8:30 at which point we were informed they had run out of food and only had brisket left. It was very disappointing that the staff sat us knowing they had no food. When we spoke to the manager he shrugged it off and just said it was a busy night. The service was horrible and can't comment on the food as they had none!

We had a reservation, were told to arrive at 7:15 so that they could guarantee a seat for us in the live music area. After being seated, it took the wait staff 1 hour to take our order and then update us that they ran out of food and couldn't fill our order. It wasn't recommended to us that if we wanted to have dinner we should order it prior to 7:30 although we were given the opportunity to eat in the dining room. Lots of people around us did get their food. Apparently running out of food is a regular occurrence but we were not warned of that when we called and indicated this was our first time dining here. The waitress brought our bill for the drinks and when we asked to speak with a manager they covered our bill and we went to dinner elsewhere but it was 9pm by that point. Overall a cool place but don't expect to eat on less you get there early and eat in the dining room.
