Since it opening in 2006, Red Pony Restaurant has impressed guests by staying true to a mission focused on cuisine and service.
Chef owned and operated, Red Pony changes its menu about six times a year with the intention of keeping ingredients the season’s freshest and the variety of dishes dynamic.
While a great deal of the menu pays homage to the Sophisticated Southern foods Chef Jason McConnell grew up on, you will also see a reflection of his travels, that drive his creativity.
It is our belief that food is something to be celebrated. We also believe that experience is a huge part of dining. Whether it be enjoying a crafted cocktail at one of our bars or enjoying dinner at the table, we want each guest to be seamlessly guided through their time at Red Pony Restaurant.

The online menu did not match the actual menu. Very misleading. My date got the filet tenderloin. It was scorched on 1 side. For a $50 steak, I expect much better. I had a $38 chicken dish (poulet rouge) that was very average. It was a $100 dinner without any drinks. Way overpriced. Franklin has much better choices in that price range. Like Perry's. Rutledge. North Italia. Connors.

We have been to Red Pony several times and it never disappoints! The service and staff are great each time! They are always updating the menu to include new items. Taste and presentation are both on point as usual. There are several options in Franklin and this one is always at the top of my list!

We were a party of 7 and sat at the white top tables at the upstairs bar. Our cocktails were fantastic and the appetizers were divine. Our main courses were some of the best steaks and snapper we have ever had. We were taken care of by a very attentive bartender/server. One of our all time favorite places to eat. Thanks Jason McConnell and staff.

I love their seasonal menu changes- this time I had the watermelon salad which was divine. The barbacoa wagyu was also fantastic. My husband had the red snapper and said it was great. Overall one of the better meals we've had recently and I'm so glad Franklin has this as a restaurant option! I do wish they had a larger "by the glass" wine selection at different price points.

The appetizers were amazing, and the bread came with whipped lemon butter. We were totally impressed! However our entrees didn’t deliver. The steak was dry and the fish didn’t have the flavor I would expect. We will give it another shot though.
