Quiet yet seemed low on ambiance - tasty local food. Confusing because supposedly the restaurant is closing or moving to events only? Seemed half empty and not clear if it was really open or not

Overall, we enjoyed the experience. I went to have a quiet conversational dinner with some family. I would definitely recommend it for that type of meal. The ambiance is excellent, and our waitress was great. The food was a bit slow to arrive considering there were only a handful of other guests when we were there. The food was great, but most of us got the short rib as a main course, and all of us felt that it was almost entirely fat and very little meat. Short ribs are mine and my fiance's favorite dish, and we definitely felt like the meat to fat ratio was off, and we were actually hungry after our mains. The dessert was delicious though, we got the cheesecake, which I highly recommend! Overall good experience and would go back, but there was plenty of room for improvement considering that it is an upscale restaurant.

Enjoyed the meal and dinning experience. Looking forward to returning for brunch. It is a 10 minute walk from BAM and is perfect for a meal before performance.

Four friends who haven't been around one another for some time. Madison May absolutely made us feel accommodated from beginning to end! Cute, quaint and a ether quiet dining experience! Menu may be a little limited but the option they do have (and what we ordered) were fantastic!! Please, please keep the mint pot de crème with the DELICIOUS coffee whipped cream!! Divine!!!

Had a very nice meal here on Saturday, post-Bam. All the dishes we had were quite good (no change from ICI, the previous name). Nice service, ambiance, etc. Only downside is that the menu is quite limited (4 entrees, as I recollect). But a really nice place in Ft.Greene.

Maison May is amazing in every aspect and I almost hate to post this because I feel like people still don't know about it. It should be impossible to get a reservation because of the high quality of the food, great service and moderate prices! It is definitely a hidden gem that needs to be discovered!!

Went here for my birthday with a group of 6. We ate on the outdoor patio in the back. Had a lovely time, the food was good, but a bit expensive for what it was. Note: if dining here during the summer months, there is not A.C.

I had a really lovely meal here with a friend for her birthday. We came in August and so we actually sat outside in the garden, which is nice. The food was very good and I would definitely eat here a lot if I lived in Fort Green. The one small point I would make about the garden though, is because the new sister bar next door has open windows, the noise from the bar carries quite a lot into the garden, which is a shame. But we still enjoyed our outdoor dining experience and the food and service was very very good. I will be back!

I was in town visiting from Chicago and wanted to hit some local joints. ICI fit the bill. I'm sure I was the only tourist in the place, so it is definitely local. Above average food all the way around. Atmosphere doesn't bring anything special to the table. I happened to be there on the coldest day of the year in NYC and ICI was feeling that pain, but it probably only happens a day or 2 per year where the heat can't catch up. I just put my jacket on. Our waitress was on the left side of friendly, but I wasn't looking for a chatty cathy anyway. She did her job well and that's all that matters to me. I'm sure the Brooklyn crowd already knows this place is solid, so I'll just confirm it since Chicago people tend to have a better knowledge of quality food than most New Yorker's.

I do think this is a neighborhood gem. It's a surprise to me that ICI is never crowded and I can always get a seat. It's one the best dining options in our neighborhood and the service is always great.

The restaurant is in the heart of Fort Green. In the basement of a Brooklyn townhouse. The farm-to-table fares are simple but so well prepared and the wine truly comprehensive. We had a perfect organic 2008, organic Bordeaux. The front of the room is well decorated: simple but not austere and chic. Go and try it. I know I will again.

My family had an excellent dinner at Ici last weekend. As usual, the food preparation was outstanding, with interesting variations on some French classics. The service was particularly good, with a special recognition to the owner/manager, who was very helpful in answering questions without being overly intrusive. Ici is clearly our go-to restaurant for special occasions in the Clinton Hill / Fort Greene area.

On a fine summer evening, we were delighted to dine outside in the quiet little garden at Ici. Attentive, friendly service, paired with creative cocktails and delicous food, served with finesse. We could converse in normal tones and be heard, enjoyed the music being piped outside, and in general can't think of any way the experience could have been improved!

Pretty spot. Food is above average good, a bit pricey. Menu somewhat limited. Ici, please expand the choices. We had dinner in the backyard, which was very pleasant. Were also there this past winter, and it was cozy.

Highly recommended. A shared appetizer of roasted seasonal vegetables - spring onion, radishes, fennel - served with three sauces. Perfect lamb chops paired with potatoes and asparagus. Deserts - sable with orange, chocolate with mint - were excellent. Were it my neighborhood, it would be a neighborhood gem. Moderate noise due to a wedding reception overhead, which livened it up, and is probably not typical. Enjoy!

This is a lovely, lovely restaurant. Wonderful food, great service and a very charming, intimate dining room. It's one of my favorite places, especially for dinner with people who love food and don't want a loud, rushed scene. The dishes are seasonal and have surprising touches that show a sophisticated attention to taste.

My husband and I had dinner at Ici recently. It's a charming little restaurant that serves a farm-to-table menu. From the welcoming hostess and the attentive and friendly staff and bartender to the delicious food and wine, it was a wonderful evening. Most, if not all, of the wines, are natural or organic, which I really appreciate. We chose a bottle of pinot noir from Alsace, which was delightful. My husband ordered the charcuterie plate, then the lamb (yes, lots of protein!), both of which he loved. I ordered the spring baby lettuces salad with a nettle vinaigrette, new to me but very good, and the entree portion of scallops, seared to perfection. Everything was cooked to perfection, even my husband's lamb, which he requested very rare. For dessert I ordered the orange creme fraiche cake. It was just okay, the only thing that wasn't "Oh, wow!" Our waiter was both helpful and professional but relaxed, a plus for us. We can't wait to go back and eat in their garden as soon as it warms up!
