Unfortunately there was a fire so the place was closed. Normally love the Fillmore Room. Another time. We were lucky. They said they had to cancel a wedding booked for that evening.

The Fillmore Room is great for brunch (bottomless cocktails Bellinis) - the food is good too. There is nothing 'special' about the place but it is a great neighborhood place for lunch/brunch if you are in the area. Not been for dinner. Staff are friendly and service was on point. We never felt rushed!

great place to go for brunch before or after walking the High Line. This is in the old Moran's and dare I say it's even better. Love the chicken muffaletta, green grits and french toast. Sit outside if you get good weather

The staff was attentive and quick to help. I had the Shrimp with grits - was very good. The meatball appetizer was yummy - I would actually love to have that for my dinner. I would definitely recommend to friends and I would go back.

This review is for brunch only. My friends and I had a pretty awful brunch experience here last Sunday, primarily because the server was extremely flaky and disorganized, and as he started to realize that he was making a series of mistakes, he stopped coming to our table altogether. We were one of very few tables in the main dining room, so I don't think he was overextended; however, he seemed very inexperienced in general. The food was decent even though certain dishes were missing sides or were not prepared as ordered; however, the service alone would keep me from coming back here. If you have three hours to kill and are willing to spend that entire time having brunch at The Fillmore Room, by all means, go for it. Otherwise, I would head nearby to The Park or Cookshop, which both appeared to be packed with happy patrons.

The food was excellent - especially the tuna, which sat on top of quinoa that was delicious! The brussel sprout salad was also excellent. Music and noise level was high but will try again during the week.

Came here for dinner with a group of friends on a Saturday night. The restaurant is large and spacious, not typical for NYC so that was a nice change. A great place to have dinner with friends. Fires were going in the various fireplaces which was essential on a freezing night! Drinks were excellent. The menu had a nice selection of foods. We didn't have any oysters but there were many oyster and mussels options. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. We felt that some of the dishes are a little over priced since they don't come with much. For example, the trout comes topped with a little cauliflower but that's it. You'd definitely need to order a side dish. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts salad!

We enjoyed exceptional and friendly service. The food was good, but not great. The wine list was unimpressive. We had grilled octopus which was prepared nicely. We had trout which was good, but not exceptional. We had brussel sprouts which were great, and the most delicious thing of all was grits. A good evening. I would likely visit there again.

Booked the Fillmore Room at the last minute for a group of 6, Thanksgiving Dinner. Found them by doing a search for Thanksgiving meals in NYC. Great rustic atmosphere, tin roof tiles, raging fire places. Started with a nice round of drinks, which were comped after they served my older teen a hard cider by accident. No harm, it was funny!! Food was abundant and delicious, everyone left with a doggy bag. Recommend a taxi as it's a bit far from the train station. Neighborhood looks a little dicey but was fine. I'd go back again to try the regular menu. Fun time for everyone, great memory of Thanksgiving in the Big Apple!! : )

Based on the menu, I was expecting solid comfort food with traditional palates. However, the chef is packing some bold flavors into some traditional favorites. Vinegars, curries and peppers show up in execpected places. Not oveewhelming and pleasantly surprising.

Really enjoyed the meal except they had run out of $1 oysters and offered us a discount on the more expensive ones. Bottle of wine was a bit over priced. HOWEVER the meal was pretty much ruined because of a table right across from us of 6 people who were LOUD beyond belief. Management did NOTHING at all and that was the biggest disappointment. They could be heard ALL OVER THE ROOM.

The restaurant staff was very friendly. But they were out of three things we wanted to order from the menu. More irritating was that the food took close to an hour to come out. I had to ask for bread in the meantime. Food was just okay. If you need a place to go in the neighborhood, I wouldn't discourage but it wasn't amazing.

We had been meaning to try the new restaurant, The Fillmore Room that took over the old Moran's space. Love the decor, updated but still feels comfortable, natural and warm. The food was even better than the decor. Two of our group of 4 had the pork chop and remarked that it was the best pork chop that they had ever had. From the appetizers through the desserts all were excellent. So make it a point to get here. It's well worth the trip.

A group of 4 on a cold, rainy night enter a place we'd never been to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a reservation but perhaps didn't need one since it was only about half-full. We were seated near the fireplace, which was thankfully in use. Once we got our food, we can only assume it was the weather keeping people away since everything we had was excellent. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie, expecting it to be as good or bad as most places. Instead, it was the best I've ever had. Often it becomes a bit ho-hum very quickly but this one was perfectly seasoned and satisfying. My friends had a burger, grilled octopus, and pork chops. Everyone was very pleased. We split a few desserts, all terrific, and not the cliches most pubby places like this serve. Food was interesting but not fussy or pretentious. Our waiter was friendly and charming but our only complaint was the frequency with which he and the other waitstaff asked for our assurance that everything was okay. It became intrusive after the 5th or 6th time. But they were all pleasant and meant well.

Restaurant was unprepared to manage my arrival with a reservation. I must have been the only one with brunch reservations, as the restaurant never asked for my name. It took forever just to bring water to the table, and I had to remind the waitress that I has asked for ice tea. I ordered the eggs shakshuka and it was not memorable at all.

Had an excellent meal at The Fillmore Room tonight!! It was a beautiful evening and we were able to sit on the patio outside. We started with the bone marrow appetizer, which was amazing- husband said it was maybe the best thing he's had to eat since we moved to NYC. I got the peach BBQ pork chop and my husband got the tuna- both were really good! Had the Mac n cheese as a side- it was just ok. Nothing special. Would definitely recommend the restaurant, though! Service was attentive and food was awesome!

Everyday The Fillmore Room has $1 Oyster Happy Hour specials with select $5 draft. I came here once through someone else, and ended up coming back to enjoy those wonderful Oysters! I'm not a fan of their brisket slider and small crunchy friend onions, but I live for Oysters, so that's the most I can comment on at the moment. Outside seating starts getting packed around 6-7ish so show up early to enjoy yourself :-)

Nice to sit outside looking at the highlane, but unfortunately that is not enough. Food came out of order then one main arrived several minutes after the rest. One main dish wrong. Food was fine however the chicken very dry. We had brought in a birthday cake which was served without the main dish plates being cleared. We then had to hunt down forks as they were not brought with either the cake of the plates. I think there are better options, although sitting outside was lovely. Staff well meaning but need further training.

The Fillmore Room was having an inconsistent day. We went for a girls brunch and sat outside on a hot August Sunday. The grilled chicken sandwich and fries was very good and plentiful. The delicious sounding gingerbread french toast was burnt and crispy along all the edges. The BigBus tour bus stops outside the restaurant's front door every 10 minutes creating a loud, idling noise. The proximity to the High Line and the Joyce Theater was great, but I wouldn't eat there again. I might just ask for a take out of the fries and eat them on the High Line.

This place looks ready to catch on -- it's got a solid menu, excellent food, welcoming outdoor and indoor space. We tried it the first time when neighboring CookShop was bursting at the seams. But Fillmore is far too good to simply be a place for CookShop overflow. Crab, burgers, salad nicoise -- all hit the mark. And as for the fries, they're worth every carb. Service was a little tentative/hovering, but it could have been someone's first day.
