Farmhouse es una acogedora taberna artesana del medio oeste de Estados Unidos situada en una zona confortable en pleno centro de Evanston, y ofrece excelente cerveza y comida. El Farmhouse está centrado en la zona del medio oeste, y tiene 36 cervezas de barril procedentes de Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin y Michigan. Hay además vino y licores artesanales locales. Los ingredientes del menú de platillos provienen de agricultores locales y son de temporada. Farmhous ofrece pollo, carne de vacuno y hamburguesas de reses criadas en pastos de la zona, y casi todo es de preparación propia. Srambled eggs with mushrooms, truffle oil and sauteed leeks was quite good but skimpy on mushrooms. Truffle oil could have been more evenly incorporated throughout the eggs. Accompanying roasted potatoes were really yummy.

We sat on the patio outside on a beautiful day and loved the ambiance. Everything was wonderful but the service - incredibly slow. an hour of sitting without placing an order! we had to ask and give them a deadline. Loved the menu and atmosphere -- just a warning on the service.

We had a lovely graduation lunch here in a separate room and I want to thank the Bistro for accommodating us. Everything was just perfect and we are so grateful for the wonderful experience! We shared a great time and made some special memories with another Northwestern family and would recommend this restaurant for any regular dining or special occasion. Also, I accidentally left my jacket behind and called the restaurant looking for it - Scarlett answered the phone and was extremely helpful and kind and empathetic. She is a true asset and provided the most outstanding customer service! I was extremely impressed with Scarlett as she went above and beyond. Overall, the entire staff was fabulous too! Thank you!

The beet salad and the Caesar salad were delicious. Unfortunately, the main courses were not all that good. I got the burger made with the meat substitute. Unfortunately, the "meat" was very overcooked and dried out. I am a vegetarian so I have a lot of meat substitutes and I know when they are cooked properly. This was, unfortunately, overcooked. My husband chose the pasta and said it was 'okay' but nothing special. Again, the beet salad was really, really good!!! The staff that evening were not particularly busy, but for some reason couldn't manage to get my husband a glass of ice. It was quite hot outside and the water on the table was lukewarm. He just wanted a glass of ice and asked several times, and 2 different servers. He ended up going to the bar himself to request it

We visited with 2 first time Evanston persons and were extremely disappointed. The waiter indicated that the bartender knew how to make a certain martini and returned 10 minutes later to say he did not have the "proper" mix. We then ordered two lemon martinis that the bartender obviously made in one shaker resulting in a full glass for one and a half glass for the other. When we pointed out that the second pour was half of the other, he just nodded and said that was the way the bartender had prepared it. When the bill came there was a $3.00 "convenience" charge which we did not protest but an additional 20% had been added for the gratuity. The waiter then indicated we could add his tip on the screen which resulted in him receiving a 40% tip unbeknownst to us. Is it our fault that we did not check the receipt before we left? Perhaps, but with two couples at the table doing that could have awkward and the waiter should have indicated instead that a "20 %' had been added but that we could change THAT" instead of not mentioning it all. We know that our fiends will never dine here again. That's sad!!

Good place to have breakfast that is more upscale. Our server was earnest and very nice. My only comment was that they seemed a bit short-staffed or they just didn't expect the that the restaurant would be full including the bar. I also noticed that the servers are the bartenders. Lots to do. Overall good though.

Quiet restaurant with good, but overpriced food (probably to be expected give its location in the Hotel Orrington). Excellent service. Menu seemed limited, especially the desserts with just two offerings.

It was Memorial Day so perhaps short handed or a skeleton crew. Server was not too familiar with menu. Bistro Benedict came without Hollandaise Sauce. Kitchen had run out of the Fried Chicken sandwich by 1pm. Generally food was good. Iced Teas came without ice. When we were done, no one picked up the dirty plates for at least 10 minutes. Convenience fee on charge was not noted anywhere. Restaurant was only 1/3 full but 3 adults and 2 screaming toddlers playing was ridiculous. No one intervened. Not a pleasant experience. Don't bother to go. Unfortunate because came highly recommended but this certainly was an 'off' day for them.
