   Akasha is our go-to restaurant in Culver City, it's always reliably good. We like to order the specials which feature seasonal and innovative preparations. We also liked that they offer curated non-alcoholic beverages beside the usual lemonade and ice tea.

   We were a group of six, and were seated on the back patio. The service was absolutely outstanding. I can honestly say that our server Savannah and the gentleman who bussed the table went above and beyond, anticipating needs and making sure we were all good. Everybody was happy with their food and there was a good selection of choices catering to lots of dietary needs (gluten free, vegetarian, vegan etc). The only slightly negative thing I could say is that the fabric shades did not adequately cover the table and as the sun moved we ended up getting very hot, but we were there for a while and had a great time!

   As always, lunch was perfect. For being such a large room, the noise level is very low. The good is always excellent and such a variety to choose from. It seems device nowadays is hit or miss in many restaurants. Not here. The service is always spot on. Love dining here.

    We were a group of 5, celebrated a birthday, and overall had a terrific evening. The wait staff contributed to the success of our dinner. Pasta was perfectly cooked, arrived hot, beautifully presented. Salads always good, desserts good, chocolate sorbet extraordinary.

    I'll start by saying that I love the food at Akasha. No matter what I've ordered I have always found the dish excellent. Additionally, I very much like the creativity of most items on the menu. Unfortunately, at my most recent visit I had what I can only describe as an odd experience with the waitress. My wife and I came relatively early with friends. The restaurant was mostly empty at that time. The waitress showed up quickly, helped us make our choices and she was friendly and professional. The food came out on time which, these days is an accomplishment since so many restaurants have labor shortages. At the time we ordered, we discussed desserts with the waitress. When we were ready to order dessert, admittedly the restaurant was quite full. However, the change in service was incredible. First , the waitress was no where to be found. Then she walked by us twice and both times despite calling out to her she ignored us. Finally, we caught her attention. We asked her for dessert menus. A few minutes later she came back and literally threw one dessert menu on the table. I guess there is a printing problem at this restaurant. There was also a dessert on the specials menu that did not appear on the regular dessert menu. After we took a few minutes to pass around the one menu she gave us, we finally got her attention again. Someone mentioned the dessert on the other menu and she told us that we should have known that from when we first ordered. We ordered dessert and for some reason she continued to be, at best unfriendly. This woman made it clear that she was unhappy to be there. That is something that I find unacceptable at a retaurant of this quality and that is why I can't give this restaurant a higher rating.

    We enjoyed brunch as a going away party! 7 of us dined, we all enjoyed our meals. The chicken & gluten-free waffle is a huge WINNER. Our server was exceptional. I’ve been here several times over the years, it’s always an awesome experience!

    Very good meal. The squid ink spaghetti were outstanding, hot and tasty with shrimp on too. The salmon on a bed of carrot and cauliflower mash was inspirational. We also had the pork shop and Thai Fish Curry. The side of Brussels is a must for us. Absolutely delicious. The menu is small but beautifully chosen. One of my favorite places to eat!

    Amazing server, extremely helpful, and they offer flexibility with menu. Cool place, casual, and not the best for business meetings unless you get a table outside or in corner as it can get loud, but overall a great spot.

    First time eating here. Selected it because it's right down the street. From Kirk Douglas theater that we had tickets for that night. My wife had the turkey burger with onion rings. I had the flat iron steak. Both were excellent. The flat iron steak was a really nice cut. Almost look like a filet mignon and was cooked a perfection at medium rare. Savannah was a great server and will definitely recommend this to others as well as coming back ourselves.

    I've been to Akasha about 4 times prior. This was my first time dining inside and it will be my last. I had a reservation and was seated at 10:45am with no issues. Waiter took my drink order and was beyond accommodating. I was waiting for my friend to arrive and she did at 11am. After the waiter took her drink order and brought her drink, I didn't see him again for 40 minutes! No one took our food order and the waiter had to easily been covering 10 tables. I don't know how this is acceptable. There was zero transparency or anyone to help him. Inflation prices make dining any where now a treat since its so ridiculous. Manager didn't offer to comp anything on our bill. Highly disappointed and will not be returning.

    We just loved everything about our meal, and time at Akasha. Service was ideal, we were inside, the noise level was quiet enough to have great conversations, and the food was delicious. I went with 3 other people, we shared everything so we got to try a nice portion of the menu, salmon was delicious, cacao e pepe pasta really delicious too. Turkey meatballs, and chicken parm were very good too. I'd probably say the pizza was not quite on the level of the other dishes, not bad, but not as good as everything else. I've been to Akasha quite a few times, but hadn't been in a while, I'll be back sooner than later, I really feel it hits the sweet spot of being a lovely place with great food, it's not fussy or pretentious, and I really think it's a great value for how good it is.

    The flavors were wonderful . The beet salad was light and fresh. The turkey burger was a variety of spices and good tasty meat. Dessert, strawberry rhubarb crisp with oat ice cream, was “out of this world” fantastic.

    Akasha, great food but honestly too expensive. Love the vibe. Outdoor area looks great. I get things have gone up in price but it’s very unlikely for me to join you any time soon with these kinds of prices. I spent $30 on a beyond burger and latte. I love your restaurant otherwise.

    We’ve been coming here for years. We absolutely love this place. The tandoori chicken wings are to die for and once again didn’t disappoint. It’s very impressive to see a restaurant retain its amazing flavor palette for so many years and especially through a pandemic. We’ll be back again, and again. Lol. 🙏🏽🔥❤️

    Shocked to see kitchen service charge on bill. No warning that we saw that this unusual fee would be assessed. Not seen it elsewhere. Don’t know why they have to charge it? Can’t you pay your kitchen staff? If not, increase food prices or have wait staff share tips. Don’t sneak a charge on customers without warning.
