Good dinner with good friends. Not amazing, but solidly good. Salads, burger, fish and chips all tasty.
It was "OK". Some people enjoyed their meal and some were "so-so". I am not going back this weekend but would not oppose going back again sometime.
Birthday! It was great. Remembered to give her a bday treat.
Met friends for Happy Hour. Reasonably quiet conversation. Interesting selection of small plates. Perfect for seniors.
T.Lion always puts forth a top notch effort, and the staff is second to none! Thank you to Denisa and Erika for making it yet another wonderful experience!
Excellent server! Wish I remembered his name. Food was very good and arrived at table promptly. A great experience for an upscale pub. We would go back again.
We always enjoy! Thanks for the great food and service!
We enjoy the variety of dishes served at Thirsty Lion. We’ve had the enchilada stack, salads, pizza, etc in the past. For our meals the other evening, I had the impossible burger and my husband had the curry chicken. We both enjoyed our dinners.
We had an amazing service and the food was beyond amazing. Keep up the good work
We go there often. Always quality food, and convenient for us. Neighbood gem
We have had the broccoli salad several times and, in fact, we were looking forward to another one, but probably will not order it again. Overloaded with broccoli and maybe not too fresh. Sorry, have been very pleased other times.
Great food. Acoustics suck!
Have dined at Thirsty Lion before. It is located in Scottsdale Fashion Square and is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner when shopping or after a movie. We enjoy the salads, burgers (Impossible vegetarian burger) etc. Will certainly return.
I love the Thirsty Lion in general. This experience was not the best, first I called to see if I could get a table for 8 - 10 people and the receptionist was rude and said they were too busy to take any more reservations due to having two large banquets. So I had a friend call and got the same response so I went on OpenTable and was able to make a reservation at the time we wanted. When we arrived we had a table and there were many other open tables open. I wonder how much business this place lost due to her. Anyway, it was really busy so service was slow but expected and we were not in a hurry. Food was good as always!!
This was the 2nd time I've at the Fashion Square venue and once in San Tan Village venue and I loved it each time. My sister said she would frequent the fashion Square venue and suggested we plan family get togethers there. She's picky so that was high praise. I agree completely!
always a pleasure eating there. the staff is wonderful, good choices on the menu
Loved this restaurant. We are from Prescott and we were staying at The Scott Resort, which we would also recommend. We were surprised that it was not that busy, but our reservation was at 8:00PM on a Saturday so we may have missed the crowd. Met the manager and he was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Celebrating a birthday at Thirsty Lion with lunch & then being allowed to play games at the table was a real treat. We'd reserved a table "outside" in the mall corridor for lighting & quiet, which was perfect. Kat & Erica G were both friendly & attentive throughout the 3 hours we stayed & our group of 7 loved sharing a surprise complimentary birthday hot fudge sundae. A couple members were disappointed the food was all pretty spicy, but the rest of us enjoyed trying unique tastes (like the caramelized pear & prosciutto flatbread) & thought the portions were priced fairly. Another bit o' fun was reduced pricing of margaritas & Moscow mules when temps reached 105 (which happened)! A nice touch that the manager stopped by tables to confirm satisfaction. We'll be returning with spouses next time!
I received a very warm and friendly greeting upon my arrival for my reservation. My server Michael, was attentive and personable. The Cedar Plank Salmon, with Risotto, and Asparagus were delicious, along with my extra side of Brussel Sprouts. This restaurant is a bit on the noisy side, so is not for someone that wants a very quiet and cozy time. However, if you're not bothered by that, and want to have an upbeat experience, with terrific customer service, then I would recommend it. My food was served hot and fresh, as it should be. I will return.
GREAT FISH AND CHIPS!!
SAME GOES FOR THE SPINACH DIP
First timer. Went after a movie at Harkins Theatre in the mall. It's actually just up the escalator on the north side, and Thirsty Lion is at the south side -- extremely close!!! We sat at the bar and got great service from Brian. We were impressed with the menu. Happy Hour is from 3:00-6:00 every day of the week. Wish it went to 7:00PM during the week because it's hard to get there before 6:00 when you work. Will definitely be back, with or without a movie first.
Food was outstanding, bartender made a great Oldfashion the true way and our server, Vinny was very attentive and always upbeat.
The only recommendation I have is that the noise level is quite loud, however, it was a Friday night...but I still give it 5 *.
Great service, great food, hot fresh food.
Our wait was short, and our waiter was phenomenal even though he was swamped.
Took forever to get our food and there was only a few TVs compared to the Tempe location
Traveling from out of town, we typically will peruse Groupon for local restaurants and came across this little gem. What a great place! The Ahi tuna poke was probably one of my favorite appetizers I’ve ever had and we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our food as well. The ambiance was nice, not overly crowded or loud. If in town, we will be back!
Waited 20 minutes for our appetizer which was tuna poke... So it's raw fish. Then my appetizer came out and we were told the second one want ready yet. After about 2 minutes my wife's appetizer ( the same thing as mine) came from a different waiter., Who also has both of our meals with him as well. My wife's poke was so salty it was inedible. The main courses weren't too bad. After about 10 more minutes our waitress finally came back over to check on us and we were finally able to ask for drink refills and silverware so that we could actually eat our food. We got desserts to go. Mine was strawberry rhubarb cheesecake. There was no rhubarb in the cheesecake and on top of that is was burnt and inedible. And wife's smore's mousse was just chocolate pudding with chocolate chips mixed in. I would tell everyone to avoid this mess at all costs. As our dinner was over 100 dollars and I would have rather eaten off the dollar menu from McDonald's.
My friends and I went to this place during restaurant week. We all enjoyed it. Food was great!
Was an amazing experience. Everything was delicious!
I really like both the Scottsdale & Tempe locations.
The food is good. My favorite is the french dip sandwich. It’s just a nice place.
Restaurant is extremely loud inside. Would recommend sitting outside if possible. Had the Chicken and Risotto plate. Very little chicken, and just a bunch of rice. Food was kind of bland.
Food is decent but service has been declining lately, even when they’re not busy.
Wonderful service on the patio, the waitress was great, and the food was so yummy!!!!
We really enjoyed this place on our vacation. We want to return.
The food was average. The service was slow. Waitress did check on us after we got our food in a timely manner. My husband had a soft drink. When it was just about gone the waitress asked if he wanted another. We were shocked when we saw a charge for 2 soft drinks. She should have said they don't have free refills and there would be a charge. To be charged for refills is so unexpected.
Waitstaff was disorganized. Waitress we ultimately ended up with was brain dead.
We met friends from the Midwest at this location and had a wonderful meal. Staff was very accommodating to our needs and kept our glasses full. They were willing to explain about menu items if needed. The atmosphere was wonderful and the entry, with the huge palm trees wrapped in lights, made the warm night air almost magical.
One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while! The food was so-so, the service almost non-existence and the noise level so high we had to practically scream across the table in order to have any kind of conversation. I will not dine here again and would NOT recommend this dining experience.
DO NOT put cilantro in your slaw. Not everyone likes cilantro ;I don't have a nice side dish other than fries.
Mike was a fantastic server.
It was a fun happy-hour early dinner. Service and food were great!
