   Food and service was outstanding. Our server went out of her way to get a bottle of wine that my wife asked for that was not on the menu. A must stop in the San Antonio area one of the best steak houses thank you.

   Every time my husband and I go to Kirby’s, we know we will be treated to delicious food and top-notch service. Whether it’s during the peak times (Restaurant Week, Valentine’s Day) or random middle of the week visits, we’ve never been let down (other than mourning limited time dining options when the chefs like to play with the menu). Great for date nights, dinner with friends or celebrating a Tuesday.

   I've been to Kirby's many times and consider it to be a great place for special occasions, even though it's very pricey. The service was excellent. My husband had a shrimp appetizer that he thought it was very good. The lobster cargot that I had was rich but excessively salty tonight. The ribeye and New York Strip steaks that we had were cooked perfectly and are large enough portions to need a take-home bag. We had asparagus and the fries as sides and both were also cooked perfectly. We took home creme brulee for dessert and loved it. Expect to have a memorable meal at Kirby's, but if you're going to spree and go hungry to have a 4-course experience, be prepared to pay $$$.

   One of our favorite date night Happy Hour places to go. The services at the bar is always spectacular and the drinks on point. We love the jalapeno mac & cheese and Tequila Lime Shrimp as well.

    Great location. Plenty of parking. Nice ambience. Very cool bar & great bartenders. Extensive food menu. Has private dining rooms for large groups - that’s a bonus.

    The chef had some wonderful new dishes. The mahi mahi special was amazing as was the gnochi appetizer. The service was wonderful as usual. John and Kristen took great care of us. We love Kirby's and always have a pleasant and fun expierence.

    Great food! Definitely recommend the compound butter with truffle and foie gras with a good ribeye. The pecan pie dessert is a MUST! Also, don’t skip on the mc & cheese with crispy prosciutto and poblano. Trust me.

    Kirby’s is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. Just about every birthday and anniversary for us and our closest friends are celebrated there. Convenient for us and always top notch service and food.

    The smoky beef and mushroom soup was really good, would eat that all the time if I could. I had the filet with crab cake- the steak was prepared medium as I requested, it was a little chewy but the crab cake was excellent. My partner had the sea bass he said it was good but could have been cooked a little bit longer, our sides were a mixed bag we had lobster Mac n cheese very yummy, mushroom- very good as well, and bacon Brussels sprouts- okay. We were seated close to a family with two small children and had to listen to the parents threaten to not ever take them out again- kind of distracting. Our servers were very attentive and wonderful. Noise level was at a medium my partner had trouble hearing me over the family next to us. I think next time we will just ask for a booth and away from small children for our date.

    Go there about 6-7 times per year , food is usually great But this last time we sent the potatoes back because they were cold and the Cowboy ribeye was tuff, we wanted it pink in the middle it was but blood was all over the board they served it on even dripping all over the table cloth. Think they saw the blood when they cut it up and recooked it…. Disappointed…. Thanks

    The service was terrible. Waited 15 minutes just to get our orders taken. Kept forgetting everything we asked for. Blamed the kitchen for not putting our order in. Didn’t tell us it was a preset menu and sticker shocked is an understatement. Nobody checked on us until they realized we still didn’t have our food after already being there for an hour. Restaurant wasn’t busy but from start to finish the workers were very rude and unaware of their sections.

    It’s valentines so you know the place would be packed. But several of our dishes came out a bit cold and my steak which I asked for medium came out more raw. Our waiter was good, hostess was nice and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. Honestly prefer other steak houses in SA but I would give Kirby’s another shot just because maybe they had an off night because of the large crowd.

    We went to celebrate my cousin’s birthday so I asked for a quiet table that would lend itself to conversation. We were given a table in a partitioned part of the restaurant where a very large and loud group was seated( folks were yelling to be heard across their very large table). We couldn’t hear ourselves speak so I asked to be seated at another table. The noise was not as bad but still very loud. We spent approximately $500 for dinner for three. It was not worth the money spent. The ambiance is awful! If I wanted that much noise I should have gone to Salt Grass.

    Arrived early to have a drink at the bar. Were promptly taken care of. Host came to get us right at our reservation time. Service in the dining room was appropriately timed and we ordered our meal. The two of us ordered the same steak cooked to the same temperature (medium plus). One came out cooked perfectly, the other was rare. Was not going to send back because that would have upset the flow of dinner. I ate around the edges and took the rest home to put on the grill for the next day's lunch. This could have been avoided however the chef (cook or whomever) was not temping each steak before it was removed from the grill and served. This is not only Food Safety 101 but Customer Service 101. This same incident has happened before at Kirby's and this was their chance for redemption. With so many other high-end steak houses in San Antonio, I have no need to return to Kirby's ever again.

    Once again we had a wonderful time at Kirby’s and Jane was a spectacular server. She was attentive and thoughtful. She even remembered our discussion from our last dinner at Kirby’s and that was sensational. This is our favorite restaurant by far. Can’t wait to take our family and friends there.
