   The only thing I would say - it was dark…I couldn’t see the food! It might be a candle or something but I thought where we were sitting needed more light…otherwise…perfect

   Very welcoming and friendly. Owner came by to welcome us as we were first timers to the restaurant. Appetizer of scallops was wonderful. Entrees were mixed; duck was properly prepared and the presentation was good. My wife’s bone in pork loin was overcooked and flavorless. The crust on the top of the pork loin was burnt and inedible. Our server offered to replace the meal but by then we were done eating. The entree was removed from the final bill which was appreciated and done without our asking.

   Always an incredible dining experience at Valette! The service is so personal and welcoming. Every course in the tasting menu is delicious and I love that they use high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. This is certainly one of the best culinary treats around!

   Not anything close to Matherson....sadly. Only shining light was the house bread rolls and butter, and the scallop appertizer.

    We had a wonderful meal. The service was attentive and clearly this is a well run restaurant. I was especially impressed by how well they accommodated to my dietary restriction of know salt. My duck was perfectly seasoned with all the spices, but without salt. Thank you for a great meal.

    Friendly. The owner came by the table to tell us the history of the place and wish my husband a happy birthday. Delicious dinner. Special of the house- scallops topped with puff pastry!! Ahi tuna poke appetizer the best I have ever had with avocado, crispy Miri and sauces. Trout was magnificent too. Wonderful place

    We come to Valette whenever we're staying in Healdsburg. Our Butternut Squash soup was delightful, the entrees beautiful and delicious, service attentive but not hovering. The venue is full of history, but not cluttered.

    The scallops. The scallops. The scallops. If all you had was a cocktail or a glass of wine and the scallops it would be a win. Dinner was great - I had the trout, a friend had the pork chop, and another had the steak. It was all great except the steak, which had an unusual rub that two of us didn't care for but the third love it. They were very accommodating to food allergies which can be difficult. Service was outstanding!

    “Valette” serves Michelin star level food, at prices that while not inexpensive, will not “break the bank”. Every single one of our dishes were prepared with the freshest and mostly local ingredients, and were not only flavorful and delicious, the presentations made each one even more special. Delightful on the palette, and on the eyes. We choose to dine in their exceptionally well-made and decorated outdoor dining room, which unlike many restaurants hastily built “parklets”, clearly no expense was spared: comfortable seating, with a good looking interior, kept warm by scores of warming heaters, no matter how chilly it may be outside. We dined at 50° or so, but we were so cozy warm, we removed our outer layers of clothing, as they weren’t needed. And not only was the space functional and beautiful, the wait staff was always available if you needed something, but yet were not “in your space”. We loved “Valette”, and as locals, we’ll be back, often.

    Outstanding as usual. The service is exceptional. Even when they are trying to turn over tables quickly, they don’t make you feel rushed. Alfredo took great care of us and the entire staff gave superior service. The food is amazing! I love this place, it’s truly one of the best restaurants in the Bay Area!! ♥️♥️♥️

    We did restaurant week here and everything was delicious. Server was very knowledgeable and attentive. We sat outdoors on a cold winter evening but it is a well covered area with nice heaters and foot warmers. Going back on Saturday!! Must try the bread butter & jam dessert.

    Long-time patrons here. Valette is our favorite restaurant in Healdsburg without question. Yet this time was an experience with some disappointments. The menu has changed to a small selection of entrees, some more exotics were unfamiliar or unappealing. The ambiance was loud and raucous (we had a hearing Impaired member of our party and he was virtually excluded from the table conversation). The room was tightly packed with tables and thus difficult for servers to navigate. My duck entree was not as flavorful as in the past and a bit chewy. Bob was entertaining and personable, as always. Overall our experience was a B-, but we have enjoyed, and have come to expect A+ as in the past. Perhaps the distraction of launching "The Matheson" may have contributed to this slight misstep. I hope so.

    Brought a friend from out of town up to Healdsburg for some wine tasting and had booked a table outdoors. Was a little apprehensive about being outside but it was quite comfortable in their outdoor space, and the ambiance was a step above the standard "lean-to's." Dinner was delicious and service was impeccable.

    We had an outstanding dinner at Valette on Saturday night. The food was excellent (in particular the tuna app, the scallop app and the duck... the pork chop was just okay), and the ambiance of the restaurant is really fun. Unquestionably, the best part of the night was our server, John. He had incredible reccomendations (seriously, if he suggests something, order it), and was incredibly attentive. We love to go out for dinner, and we (there were 4 of us) would say that he was the best server we have ever had at any restaurant. Period. We also met Alfredo who gave us some wonderful local recommendations. Both John and Alfredo went out of their way to make our night unforgettable. We will absolutely be back to this charming restaurant!

    From start to finish our experience was excellent. The servers were all attentive and knowledgeable and the food speaks for itself. Everything we ordered from the Ahi Tuna appetizer to the soup and amazing duck and NY Strip Steak to the desserts was outstanding.
