Located on NE 65th between Roosevelt and Green Lake, Portage Bay Cafe on 65th continues our mission of local, organic and sustainable fare. From our Crab Cake Benedict to our signature House-Made Challah French Toast, our items are carefully crafted to use the best seasonal and organic ingredients available. We also create monthly specials to further highlight our food-producing partners.

We were celebrating a birthday and there was a bit of a snafu with the reservation - but the hostess handled it with grace and got it sorted for us! So appreciative! As always - the food was excellent and the Berry Bar a great hit!!!!

The noise level is too loud back in the corner by the kitchen. Between dishes clanging and the vibration off the wood and lower ceiling, we had to ask the table next to us to take it down a few decibels. Next time, we'll ask not to be seated in that area but I just wanted to call it out. Love the food and the service is always great!!

The French toast was cooked and the BLT was super greasy with butter when they grilled it. The server doesn’t even say hello when they asked for our order.

Stopped by for a brunch date with my bridal party and had a great time! Recommend getting the mimosa pitcher!

The food was enjoyable, but the beverage selection was quite limited, with several items sold out. Additionally, the service could have been better, as our server was not particularly helpful.

As ALWAYS!!!!!! the best breakfast in the world!! Attention to fresh, locally sourced, allergy friendly, AND the staff are EXTRAORDINARY!! From the greeter to the servers, to the manager and OH the owners John and Amy. Our fav . . . .so consistent in quality and service. Very creative and innovative AND delicious menu.

This was my first time to 65th PBC. It does not measure up to what I have come to expect from the Roosevelt and Ballard locations. You guys can do better. Visit your sister restaurants.
