Our experience at Asiago was memorable for its mediocrity. In its favor I add that it is a very nice restaurant and gives the illusion that you're gonna be wowed by the fare. This was not the case at all. Our server had virtually no knowledge of the menu, the drink selection and disappeared regularly without checking on our table even periodically . We had to send out a search team to find him. The menu sort of suggests that there are authentic Tuscan chefs in the kitchen waiting with bated breath to prepare our meal . Not the case at all. When our meals arrived, only three out of four came out and everybody knows how annoying that is. The fourth dinner arrived about eight to ten minutes later after the first three had plenty of time to cool down. No explanation and the disappearing server, nowhere to be found . The portions were incredibly large suggesting that we were getting a huge bang for our buck when in fact it was just mediocre, heavy and unappealing . We have no intention of returning.

Very traditional Italian menu, my wife had the Swordfish special and loved it. Had a good dinner and would come back again next time we are in Pittsburgh.

Nice atmosphere and location, food quality and portions were good, service is fast and friendly, overall a nice restaurant that I'd return to but a bit pricey in my opinion.

Went expecting a brunch seating as shown on their website to find they do not do a Sunday brunch. One members of our party ordered eggplant parmigian and the egg plant was burnt and had a burnt taste throughout. I guess there was a reason it was easy to get a reservation for mother's day.

As the other reviews on here indicate, the food was very good but the service was not. We had a two hour dinner and not by our choice. The waitress took so long to get our drink orders that we ordered drinks, apps and dinner all at once. And we were still there for over 2 hours. The waitress was not attentive, short with us and forgetful. Thankfully the food was good and we didn't have anywhere else to be.

Our waitress was very friendly and quick. Meals were timely, we didn't wait for a Friday night. Food was very good, we didn't wait for food, or drinks, we didn't have to ask our server was excellent. Went back to bar on Saturday and our bartender was great and friendly!

I enjoyed my meal at Asiago's. The tomato bisque soup was fantastic. I found their drinks to be a bit on the expensive side. The environment was quite nice, and it'd be great to sit on the patio once the weather improves.

Worst service ever !!! It was a Saturday night and there were only a few tables with customers. So it wasn't busy. The service was so bad it was comical! We wondered if we were being pranked- it was so bad.

The food was very good and a great value. Our server, well he left much to be desired. Never were served any bread, could never find him when we need refills on our drinks or were ready for the check. He seemed to be overwhelmed and he only had a couple of tables. We would come back but ask to be seated elsewhere if he was our server again

Wow! what a great find this restaurant was. We had a wonderful meal during the weekday for our dinner club. All 8 loved the food and ambiance. In the summer this place would be great to sit outside and view the river and the fountain at Point State Park.

The prices are up there, but the food, service, wine, and atmosphere was fantastic! A very romantic scene. Loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice atmosphere and the service was good. Food is a little pricy and portion size was average. I was a little disappointed with my entrée, I ordered the chicken parmigiana which I found to be bland. I was more satisfied with my appetizer and the bowel of wedding soup I had prior to my meal. Might go back for drinks and appetizers, but as far as dinner goes there are better places in the Burgh for the price.

Fourth time we have tried Asiago's for inner because of location and ambiance. It has a great bar and the décor is beautiful. We were staying on the North Shore for Valentine's weekend and decided to give it one more try. Service was OK but food was less than mediocre for the price. Table next to us sent 2 of 4 entrees back. The marinara sauce on my husband's lasagna was way too sweet. My first choice was eggplant rollatini but they were out by 8:00 Tried the lobster ravioli and it was not done very well. Our first visit when they first opened was very good. The next 3 times it has gotten worse with each visit. May return before a Pirate game for drinks, appetizers or pizza on the patio, but will not be returning for dinner. Too bad, was hoping they would get better.

My girlfriend and I went for restaurant week. The 4 course menu was perfect. The tomato basil soup may have been some of the best I have ever had. The salads were not up my alley (walnuts, strawberries, sweet dressing), but it was still pretty good. The entrees were perfect and the funnel cake donuts for dessert were an excellent cap to the evening.

I first had to call for directions. The girl on the phone was very helpful. Then when we arrived we were greeted warmly, first from the valet and then the hostess. Our waitress was great. She was very helpful in helping us to select our entrees and making suggestions. She was there often enough but not too much. The food was wonderful! We both loved our entrees. I also had an Asiago salad that was really delicious! I have and will continue to recommend Asiago's to friends.

Visited on New Year's Eve and wasn't impressed by the service at all. We weren't offered the specials that our neighboring tables were, we weren't offered the bread and oil that was supposed to come with our meals until after we were finished eating and getting ready to leave and when we asked for a dessert menu it took our waiter almost 15 minutes to bring it over. The food was decent for the price and the restaurant was very pretty inside. The service wasn't up to the standard if you're going to pay that much for a meal.

The waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is conducive to a private conversation. The food is delicious and the servings are substantial. You MUST try the donuts - also great cold the next day.

We chose this restaurant for dinner before the Pirates wild card game because we could make reservations. It is a hidden gem. We ate outside on the patio. The food and service were very good. The zucchini planks were fair but everything else was delicious.

If I could give minus numbers I would. It is possibly one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant. It took forever to get drinks forget food because we ran out of time. Then she dropped my credit card and couldn't find it!!! One of the managers found it and acted as if nothing was wrong Never ever will I go back!!!!! Horrible experience don't go here

We've dined at Asiago's several times this summer before Pirate ballgames with great service and great food. On Wednesday night before the Pirate ballgame the service was rather slow given the dining area was only half full. Our reservation was at 5:30 PM but by the time the order was placed and food delivered, it was 6:25 PM. I'm not sure what the issue was but hopefully this was a one time occurrence. The food was great as usual when it arrived and we did get to the ball game on time.

We were at the restaurant on a slow night in Pittsburgh - no Pirates, Steelers, Pens or special events so it was not crowded. We liked the restaurant atmosphere and the large bar area. It was too cold for us to sit outside but it looked very nice. We all felt the food was average. The bubble bread was very good. Our entrees were just OK. I had the Chicken Piccata special and it was a bit dry. Overall it was OK.

The was my second trip to Asiago and unfortunately nothing changed. I decided to give it a second try but experienced the same poor service. Food is good so it is a shame that I will be writing this restaurant off. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizer. We were told repeatedly that "your appetizer is almost ready" when we inquired. Same thing happened first trip along with dropping my food and having to wait and eat separately for those I dined with.

Asiago's outdoor patio is picturesque. The food was very good. It should have been a wonderful experience, however once we were seated....despite the fact a waiter came and went on the patio several times , our table( one of 3)was totally ignored. We sat for more than 20 minutes unattended and when a waitress came out, we were informed that the kitchen was currently closing. We continued to have long wait times for everything ordered, while other tables around us had prompt service.

We had flatbread pizza & chx Caesar salad following a Pirate game! Food was very good! Outdoor dining was very nice! Was surprised that this place was not packed! Give it a try...you just might like it!

My girlfriends and I decided to try Asiago's for restaurant week. We will definitely be back!!! Our waiter was Akey. I am sure I am spelling that wrong but he was AWESOME!! So friendly, attentive and a total joy! The food was amazing. We had a bruschetta appetizer and watermelon salad. Both delicious!! Our entree's varied but were all delicious. And very generous portions.
